  1. I too finally saw the movie on Tuesday night. Kate (LALA) and I met up to partake. Well, you guys have pretty much touched on everything I have to say about the movie. I could have done without Carrie & Big actually tying the knot at the end. So the funniest thing for me was seeing the gaggle of gals that got so dressed up, it was rediculous. I was sitting in a bar waiting for Kate before the movie & a group of 6 or 7 gals came click-clacking in. We're talking zebra print, hot pink, big hair, lots of jewelry & sky high heels. The waitress said to the bartender "are you ready for a shit load of cosmos?" HAHA!! It was too funny.
  2. I think I'm going to follow advice here & get me a mesh bag! I think I reverted to hand washing because I wear bra's that have formed cups & would get absolutely trashed/out of shape if I put them in the washer. I think I'll try the delicate cycle in a mesh bag. And honestly, because it's a bitch, I probably don't do it as often as I should. So I'm running around in a dirty bra all the time!
  3. OMG, this thread is great! Monica, your FI is a great sport for playing along...oh wait, he has no idea lol! OK, so here are mine, a few old favorites (Tammy, can you guess what I'm going to post)
  4. Wow, I am clearly working way too hard! Here's what I do: I hand wash my bras in the sink with Woolite & cold water. I swish one or two around in the soapy water & then let it sit for 5 minutes or so (ok, sometimes HOURS when I get distracted). Then I drain the soapy water and thoroughly rinse. I gently squeeze excess water out, being careful not to squeeze to hard else I create the dreaded wrinkle/bump situation. Then I lay them on a towel to dry. So, hows that biofit Drea? That's a pricey little Falker!
  5. OMG, I love that! Copying & sending to DH immediately!
  6. Ugh Maura, you captured one of my biggest pet peeves! I love it when one of my friends will call & be all pissy because I didn't respond to her "important" question that she left on my myspace page! WTF woman! I'm 32 years old...I have a job...and a phone....and email...I do not check myspace daily, much less weekly. Fricking insensitive weird people!@

I have a weird thing about the money...I like to keep our separate accounts. I also manage both of our accounts (my hubby sucks at paying bills). So, I just divide up our bills evenly & pay out of each account. For me, it makes me feel safe doing this cuz I'm completely type A. I also need to know that I have my own gig going on in the money department because of my step - kids. If we were 100% combined, I would flip out over some of the last minute, unplanned expenses my hubby shells out for. Each couple is different. But you should definitely discuss & see what works for the both of you.
  8. I'm guessing her mom had nothing to do with dress selection. WOW!

I liked to have the OPTION to snuggle, not forced to cuz the bed isn't big enough. We cannot wait til we buy a house and can get a HUGE bed! OMG, I love me some cuddling for sure, but if we fall asleep like that I wake up completely sweaty & gross. So I always find myself unlatching him from me after he falls asleep! Sneaky.
  10. Interesting topic Alyssa! It was a toss up for me, I would have chosen 2 options if possible. In reality we really don't "fight" or argue. More like I get stressed out or he gets stressed out & then we have to talk about it. I get stressed out about his kids. He gets stressed out about sex. So, he tries to take care of the kid thing & if he can keep that at bay (and keep them out of our room), then I can take care of the sex thing!!

I've got the cat & dog pushing from one side, so unless he's on the other, it's all over! Quote: Originally Posted by starchild Having to go back to work after 3 weeks of bliss! Marriage is bliss when you are on vacation & don't have to do shit like go to work, do the laundry, etc. Biggest decision of the day - where to eat lunch? should we take a nap? On the real though, marriage has been a HUGE adjustment for me. I am an only child and an extremely independent & self sufficient woman. So to go from that, to being married to a man w/ 2 kids was a crazy adjustment in the patience & sharing departmnet. I try to remind myself that I don't have to change just because I'm married, since in reality it was those qualities about me my hubby loved to begin with. Anyhoo...yes, the pee on the toilet, the beard shavings, the body functions being celebrated on the hour...yuck!
  12. Great questions Tammy! I too need to get something up on the giant expanse of wall above our bed...well, I actually need to decorate the whole room... Anyway, I love the idea of sepia tone wedding pics with your color scheme - I think it would be lovely. And I agree w/Jamy that it is totally not vain, it's your boudoir! You can do whatever you want. I also agree that you've got some great shots to pic from.
  13. OMG, that is so frustrating. I don't know if it's the same thing, but I had someone hack my yahoo mail & posted a bunch of craigslist ads using my address. I received a lot of interesting things/pics that I was shocked to see in my inbox for a while. I changed my password & it stopped. BOO on these evil peeps!
  14. Does it count that I gave a dollar to a homeless guy today? I never do that, and I rarely have cash on me...
  15. Happy Anniversary Ann & Paul. Wow - what a year! Wishing you a special day with your new family!!
  16. Wow Rachel - that is so fucked up! I cannot believe the treatment, or lack thereof, your aunt received at hospital #1. I am glad you've gotten some answers & I'm really sorry your family had to endure such unneccesary bs.
  17. Ok Ms. Gorgeous USA!! Really, really nice looking dress there! And could you be any more petite & tiny? Lovely and mahhhhvelous!
  18. What a trip! Didn't you just get married like 2 months ago?? LOL. Happy Anniversary Tammy & Cain. Hope you are doing something fantastic that honors your love & commitment
  19. Whoa! I clearly do not consume enough news media, I had no idea about this. That is really scary & shocking.
  20. Ok, this is hilarious...I tried what my birthdate was "supposed to be" to see if I would get something more accurate. I GOT THE SAME DAMN THING!!! Gosh, and I thought I knew myself...well, I do have a warm heart, that is true.
  21. Your Birthdate: July 20 You are a virtual roller coaster of emotions, and most people enjoy the ride. Your mood tends to set the tone of the room, and when you're happy, this is a good thing. When you get in a dark mood, watch out - it's very hard to get you out of it. It's sometimes hard for you to cheer up, and your gloom can be contagious. Your strength: Your warm heart Your weakness: Trouble controlling your emotions Your power color: Black Your power symbol: Musical note Your power month: February **I don't know that I agree with any of this! I was a month late, so maybe I should check my scheduled Bday?
  22. Wow, that seems very irresponsible to discharge someone with unexplained & ongoing seizures. I'm sorry about this Rachel. It sounds like your family is on it & will get her in to see an appropriate doc...but still, talk about a serious potential liability on the hospital's part. I don't get that. My best vibes for your aunt's recovery.
  23. Alright, this is crap! Next time I'll be on top of the draft quicker. My only scoring celeb is Pete Wentz. C'mon, no more Clay Aiken stories?? Are we over the fact that he artificially inseminated a woman??
