Thanks for the head's up. I don't want anything elaborate or complicated. Seriously, just plain old cupcakes (with good flavors, of course) but I may look further into this when the time comes

Tammy. how much was the treatment? I have really bad acne scarring too. When I got to college, I started breaking out like crazy - horribly cystic acne, the whole bit. I still don't have perfect skin and it KILLS me to see the scarring. it might be worth springing for this in general, not just for the wedding.

Cabo Restaurant / Club suggestions?
NABUMBAH replied to MARIAELM's topic in Cabo Accommodation & Site
Nik San Sushi in downtown. I know sushi sounds like a weird rec, but it was delish. The Office. this one is obvious. The Crazy Lobster. I think we each had lobster & beer for about $25 USD Panchos. Good. downtown Mi Casa also very good. I would also check tripadvisor's Cabo forums. I always see tons of good restaurant recs on there. -
we're staying for four days after

I know. I want to do something relatively simple as well. I just need to get my butt in gear and get some other quotes, or see if Elena Damy will negotiate.

when all is said & done, after our travel expenses, e-ring, wedding band, etc. we're at $40-$45k. Our official budget is at home on the laptop so I can add in itemized expenses later. crap, that's a lot of money.

They are also willing to negotiate.

We stayed at the Fairmont last summer and loved it. We debated between here, the Four Season, the Ritz, and the Grand Wailea, but ultimately we booked the Fairmont and we were glad that we did. The staff is extremely attentive and helpful. We had lunch at the pool bar which proved to be a lot of fun, and the bartender (I wish I remember his name!) was extremely helpful. He pulled out a map of the area and gave us a guided dinner tour using the Fairmont's private car service. It was great There are a lot of kids at the resort, but they do have an adult pool area (see the photo above) It is pricey at the hotel, so I do recommend stopping by the Costco, or the other large markets near the airport on your way to the resort in order to cut down on the cost of booze & snacks. There is a minibar with a refrigerator in the suite. On average, lunches (with drinks) were around $100 at the hotel, so be prepared. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

no, I have not. I figure it's pretty hard to screw up cupcakes. I have seen her site - she seems to do a pretty good job.

Show us your wedding dress!
NABUMBAH replied to Jennifer's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I was worried about posting photos of my gown on the old site because I think my fi is a member, but I highly doubt he made it over here .... here is my gown on another bride here is the veil that I am hoping to locate the BM dresses, though mine are short, and teal -
I am not sure. I read on the yahoo board that her first quote is always really high, but that she does negotiate, so I guess I will ask and see what she comes back with. I definitely did not budget $3K for flowers - more like half of that. But she definitely knows what she is doing.
