  1. I definitely say real thing. The knockoff will probably be made of inferior quality materials, and probably not cut the same - may not fit the same. Not that I think you should pay full price, though. Check out pearlsplace.com, the knot's dress board, ebay, and preownedweddingdresses.com for a used gown. I paid about 5% of retail on my Monique Lhuiller gown by buying it used on ebay. It would suck to get the dress and have it *not* be what you wanted, or expected to get, ya know?
  2. yeah of course I'd like to see! actually we're looking at a few hotels. I'll email you
  3. yes, definitely post this review on your local knot board to warn brides.
  4. Congrats Raina! Where'd you get the deal? We totally want to stay there but don't really want to pay $800 a night
  5. very pretty! I am about 9645678534 tasks from picking up something un like a RD dress.

  7. Happy Birthday ladies~ Have a great day!
  8. http://www.casabonampak.com/papelpicado.html this company does custom Papel Picado. It's absolutely adorable. I think I am going to buy some to decorate either our welcome dinner or possibly string over the pool during our cocktail hour. The best part is that they do custom designs with your name, wedding date, etc. Here are some photos: credit to weddingbee.com where I first saw this site.
  9. Woot for the November brides! I can't wait to see all of the photos when everyone gets home!
  10. I have. We checked out the Alegria Inn http://www.todossantos.cc/alegria.html and also ate at Cafe Santa Fe - it was delish! And the Alegria was really cool. I also highly recommend checking out Art & Beer on the way! i posted about it somewhere, I will look for it and post a link. eta here it is: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/f/...1&postcount=14

(For their prices and reputation they better be good!) Ahhhh... I cannot wait to hear from you about all of this Janet. Please let me know what you think about everything. Maybe I'll wait to decide until you come back
  12. see, I am kind of thinking that it might be more relaxing to get away from the hotel and to the spa (I believe it's only a few minutes away) but you're probably right. I'll just have them come to me.

The location of Cabo Surf is great for surfing, chilling out and spending time with family & friends. I liked the look of the events held at Cabo Surf - fun, relaxed, great atmoshphere. I could have written this myself. I wanted something that would not look like a megaresort and not look like Orange County. If I wanted to get married at a big resort, I would do it here.
  14. Hi Ladies, First off, sorry I've been MIA. I've been super busy since I've been back. For those of you using Cabo vendors, did you have the H&M person come to you, or did you go to the salon? I have the option of having the HIVE people come to me for a pretty nominal charge and am curious what ya'll think. I think that space should not be a problem for them to set up & work - we have two large adjoining suites, and I have my own suite as well. And FYI we're having approx 6-8 people do H&M on the wedding day. thanks!!
  15. my closest girlfriends are drinks by the pool kinda girls so I presume that we'll be doing a lot of that. But I may plan something fun like pedis as well
  16. we're doing one too! My little brother has some experience in putting them together for a DJ friend of his. And My stepdad has a projector so I guess all we really need is a screen. I think we may do this on night #1 (Welcome Dinner) as well as a sort of get-to-know-you thing since we have so many different groups coming together for our wedding.
  17. Hi Marci! glad to have you aboard. I am using Lovely weddings. The coordinator's name is Rosy Castro, and she used to be the WC at the Finesterra, but now works a lot with El Encanto (?) in SJD. Glad to have you here
  18. that looks great. I told FI he'll be doing one for us when we get to Cabo. He's not thrilled, but if we can save $200 it's worth it!
  19. I used wedquarters.com. It was $25 for a year and an add'l $15 for our custom domain.
  20. I think once he's there he will love it. Chris reminds me that it's time to get a pedicure these days because he won't go alone
  21. hey Janet. When I was talking with ESS they highly recommended using tiki torches on the beach - just FYI. Since Christa is getting married the week before me I am hoping we can share the cost
