  1. Hi Chocolat. I just got married in Cabo at the Cabo Surf hotel. For a non-all-inclusive resort in Mexico it was very reasonable and just beautiful. you can check out some photos here: Natasha & Chris the best advice I've seen is here, actually. there are a ton of brides and vendors here and everyone is extremely helpful. good luck & happy planning!
  2. We did and I am so glad that we have it. I think it's fine to have a friend or family member do the video, but as seen by the small demo from our wedding, there is so much that professionals know to capture that you will miss if a non-professional does the job. I totally can see the hard work that professionals put into their work. I was thrilled to get our demo from Marci - I am so tempted to just go ahead and have her edit it. maybe once I am done paying off our credit cards from the wedding (if Chris doesn't edit it first...) every time I watch it I smile.. it was great to see. It captured moments that I didn't remember and were not captured on film.
  3. I was definitely having a good time it is funny becausee in my wedding photos there are some where our photog told me not to smile.. but I look like I am about to bust up laughing in them
  4. thank you. I realize that I was a total spaz that day after seeing that video!

  6. I passed there while I was there a couple of weeks ago. It is RIGHT in the thick of the crazy area of medano. May make for a cool reception, I guess it just depends on what kind of feel you want.
  7. my friend has these so one night at a BBQ we busted them out. Um.. I am not sure how great of a workout they give you. but they were entertaining!
  8. We did it legally on Monday and left for Cabo on Tuesday. It worked out well because in the days before the wedding when I wanted to KILL him, threatening to call it off was no longer an option I just had to keep my mouth shut.
  9. We're going to order them from our photog. Picking a photo will be another story...
  10. thanks all. I just finished going through our proofs. HOLY MOLY... there are literally like 2k photos. WOW! if anyone wants to see them feel free. It's pretty easy to figure out how to access them. If you can't figure it out PM me and I will give you instructions. edited to add - marci from BVP made a demo of our wedding as well. OMG I was such a spaz that day. anyhow it's here is you would like to check it out. Cabo San Lucas Wedding Video Demo Baja Video Productions
  11. When I was there the Costco has really nice roses & other flowers, but I would imagine that you cannot guarantee which colors that they will have. I love my florist but I am not sure who they were. Maybe Carla can help me out with that?

Your photographer takes some amazing shots. I may look into him now. I imagine he is pretty popular by the looks of his web site. Do you know him personally? I only know him from working with him, but he and his wife are both great and very talented. I would definitely recommend contacting him. You can let him know that I referred you
  13. thanks all. It was really a fun day. I rememeber at one point thinking that I couldn't smile anymore because my lip was quivering. despite the minor mishaps eveything was really amazing. like a dream, almost! I am going to work on my vendor reviews today and will try to get them up with pics
  14. my dad wore a really light tan linen suit (almost white) and a blue linen shirt. yes, I think you are over thinking a little. It won't look weird, and all eyes will be on you!

Marci told me that she planned to make a demo of our video.. she did have Chris and my FIL (our officiant) mic'd and we also used a mic.
  17. okay ya'll. I am going to whore out my photos again. I will have all of the proofs later this week but my photographer emailed me because he added a slideshow to our blog entry. If you want to see individual prints there is a box located in the lower right hand corner where you can scroll through pic by pic Jim Kennedy Photographers » Blog Archive » A wedding in Cabo scroll to the bottom of the entry with our pics for the slideshow.
  18. we had originally planned to "unite" two pieces of a metal cross. I contacted a guy in Alaska who was going to make it for me. Unfortunately, he took forever to do it, and once it was done he wanted a fortune so we had to ditch the idea. We did try to do a unity candle with hurricanes. But by the time we got down the aisle, the candles were already out. And then we ended up forgetting them. Oops. Oh well, didn't matter that much. We also used the blessing of the hands.
  19. Chris and I saw eachother before and I am sooo glad that we did. that's another story though Anyhow, I kept my train bustled for all of the pre-wedding photos, and then let it down for the ceremony. IIRC, I bustled it again right after the ceremony and kept it that way until the bustle broke while I was crazy dancing later on in the night. I had a long veil also. It was beautiful but an absolute pain because the organza trim on it kept getting caught on stuff. After the ceremony we were doing photos on the beach near the waterline and it got wet. I took it off right there and did not put it back on.
