    Again, totally agree. I lucked out with my photog (Jonathan Thrasher). DH and I clicked with him and loved his style and beautiful work ...he was great!! BTW, thank you for posting helpful advice without trying to sell yourself...we all appreciate that here.. and like you said, we all have different preferances in style, etc.

    that is pricey...I think you could fly in a great photog with more or the same coverage time for less and probably with the digital images includes, but I guess that depends on who you want to fly in....... Juan's work is beautiful...

    Great advice. My DH also didn't share my strong desire of finding a fantastic photographer...but now after seeing our wedding pictures, he is so happy that we had a fantastic photog.

    Congratulations and welcome home!! Wow!! It sounds like everything was great (well, except for the sickness and the mouse). you looked amazing!!! I can't wait to see Juan's pics... And, I have to agree with you on doing a hair and make-up trial....I wish I would've done one...I wasn't 100% pleased with my hair, but didn't realize the day of...only in pics. Anyway, congrats again!! Great review!!

    I had a chapel length veil and it was moderately windy on my wedding day. I didn't have any problems with it flying crazy....It was actually quite a chore trying to get the wind to catch it for a photo (in my before the ceremony pictures).

    I think I paid about $1.31 per box.....I did them all through the self postage kiosk in the post office on a weekend....the post office didn't stamp those stamps out (at least the few I saw of friends')....the invite I got from a friend had a big black line through the 3 postage stamps she put on the box. I do agree with Angela....some dirt or smudges are inevitable through the postage delivery system. but everyone will be thrilled to receive a box in the mail.

    I mailed mine in a white kraft box. They didn't arrive too dirty or destroyed. I used clear tape to secure the opening. I also received an invitation in the mail for a friend's wedding in a box...she used a white jewelry box like you described. It arrived clean and not destroyed...there is one tiny smudge on the back that is all. She also used clear tape around the edges and then wrote the address directly on the box.
