I'm debating the same issue. I think I'm leaning toward the buffet, because of the increase in choices for my guests and because they have 2nds or 3rds if they would like. Originally, I wanted to do the sit down/plated meal, because some of the weddings I've gone to that had buffets always had long lines and it took forever to get my food. But, I don't think I'm going to have this issue, because I'm not expecting 100s of guests (or even 100 guests). I also liked the more formal idea of being served. When I was at the Sheraton, I thought the buffet looked nice. They had large candles around the serving plattters. It certainly didn't look bad or cheesy...not like a country BBQ. When you narrow down the location (if you haven't already), you could always ask the event planner/coordinator to send you pics of the buffet. That might help you decide.

Show us your wedding dress!
Jessalyn replied to Jennifer's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
So, I took my dress to my BM's house this weekend and had her take some pics of me in it. For the life of me, I can't post the pic in the message. I keep getting an invalid file error (and I did try resizing the pic...hmm). Anyway, here is a link to the pic.. hopefully this works. I'm holding the dress in the back because it needs to be altered. And, as mentioned in a previous post, I'm still looking for just the right padded, push-up bra! why you chose Sheraton or Dreams?
Jessalyn replied to brandy '08's topic in Cabo Accommodation & Site
I'm getting married at the Sheraton. I didn't even consider Dreams. The Sheraton had special meaning for my FI and me, so this is why we chose this resort. I've been working with Irma too. As Tammy mentioned above, she is not a WC, but an events coordinator. She is a bit slow at responding to emails, but does eventually get back to you. Like Tammy, I also hired an outside WC. I wasn't going to at first, but then realized that I wanted to make sure that the entire day went smoothly, so for the peace of mind I hired a WC. The Sheraton is going to be more expensive for you in terms of food and beverage as it is not an AI, but because of the this the rooms are less expensive for your guests. This is also why I didn't choose an AI. I wanted to keep the cost down on the nightly rate for our guests. But, some brides would argue that in the end an AI is less expensive, and when all is said and done they are probably right. There is a thread with cost/menu/set up information for the Sheraton. Here is the link, in case you haven't seen it yet... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1121 Hope this helps. -

But one thing I had to say sooner than later was what happened with our ORIGINAL minister. We booked Scott Parsons months ago and have had plenty of contact with him since over the phone and on the internet. We had sent him the ceremony that we had written a week before we left for Cabo so he was well aware of the time and day of our wedding. Our wedding planner (Tara from Sunset Weddings wonderful by the way!) had been trying to get ahold of him for a few days and heard nothing. The wedding day rolls around and he is nowhere in sight. He never showed. So we had to find a new minister within an hour who turned out to be absolutly fantastic!!! But because of him, our wedding didn't start on time and we had to push it back almost two hours. We had to pay all the catering staff overtime hours which added up to alot!!!! The mariachis could only stay an hour because of another engagement, so my husband and I totally missed them completely because we had to take pictures before the sun went down, which we also didnt want to do because we didnt want to see eachother before the wedding but we had no choice. Two days later on Monday a letter is dropped off at the hotel by Scott Parsons basically apologizing and saying that he had a high fever and was delerious and thought our wedding was on Sunday instead of Saturday. But he never did show up on Sunday for the wedding that he "thought" was that day, and we could not get ahold of him for days before the wedding either. He was not in the hospital or anything either. So pretty much...he forgot. I love all you girl and hope that you love your wedding as much as I loved mine (even with this), and I would never want this to happen to anyone else. If you want my advice, DONT BOOK HIM, and if you already have booked him CANCEL!!! Thank god there was another minister who was able to get there in time or even at all! Please take my adivce I don't want anyone else to go through this. Danielle Incontro Thanks for the head's up!! That is horrible!! Now I must decide what I'm going to do, since I've already booked him....hmm..

I just bought the Barre Method series... http://www.amazon.com/Method-Body-2-...?ie=UTF8&s=dvd It isolates muscles and gives you longer leaner muscles like a dancer. I like it. It's not yoga or pilates, but certainly not arobic either. ...I wanted to buy the fluidity bar. Anyone tried it? www.fluidity.com I saw it on an infomercial, but haven't bought it yet...I'm afraid it will just collect dust.
