  1. Jen, Thanks so much for the great review! You were a beautiful bride! I love your photos...the location was absolutely beautiful. I especially loved the shots in the hallway/bridge area...gorgeous!!
  2. Have fun on your site visit! Let us know what decisions you make when you return!!
  3. hmmm..I'm doing it a little differently. I sent my STDs to everyone and then am also sending an invite to everyone. IMO, I would feel kinda wierd as a potential guest, if I only received a STD and then an inviation never showed up (especially if I was planning to attend). But, I guess if you verbally find out from people if they are planning to come or not, you shouldn't need to send an invite to those who you know can't make it. On a side note~ I had a friend who sent out a STD for her wedding and based on this I booked my flight (non-refundable), and then she changed her plans....so I was out the airfare....but, this was probably my fault for being a type A....always planning ahead...and it wasn't like the wedding was in a different country.
  4. I'm with Kate on this one ....... the color would be beautiful for a beach wedding!!!
  5. I just learned how to post a pic last night! So, I hear ya (but I had my setting wrongs, so I couldn't even see the smilies)! Anyway, now that I can post pics, here are a couple of hair ideas I've saved. I like the first one best.

I like the picture frame idea. I wanted to do koozies too, but my budget is getting in the way!!
  11. It sounds like you're off to a great start. I'm doing a lot of the same items that you are Here's my list, so far tote a cd made by us advil sunscreen candle bottle opener beer and water snacks flip flops golf balls Try doing a search for "OOT Bags" and you'll find a lot of posts from other people about what they are doing and pictures too.
  12. From my understanding you are supposed to declare all of this stuff, and pay taxes on the value (I think it is if it exceeds $250). It sounds like most brides have gotten around it though. Natasha (I think) paid the guys at the airport $50 to get her boxes through customs. Tammy (host) pushed her stuff through with her husband (he pushed a green light at airport/customs clearance),so wasn't searched.

Maybe once you have a gown you can dance in, you won't hate the first one so much and you will be happy to have all your pictures of you wearing it. And def try Craigs List b/c honestly if I saw a gown I loved I would buy it used. I have no problems with this and I don't really care to have "my own" gown so you never know someone out there may really want your gown. -Glenda I definitely agree with Glenda and Rebecca. You want to be comfortable and love your dress.

May God bless us all! I like this idea! Thanks for sharing. Hey Tammy, can we throw them at FFIL? ...we are so bad!! I guess we need to work on feeling the love!!
  15. I ordered my Bridesmaids dress from HOB, but got an email a couple of days later saying that they don't carry that designer anymore. So, they were going to refund my money. That was a couple of weeks ago and I haven't seen the refund hit my cc yet. That's my only experience with them. I mentioned this in another thread, but I bought my dress from RK bridal. They will beat any internet price quote by 5%. It saved me about $275. There address is RK Bridal find a lower price and we will beat it by 5% My dress arrived a month ahead of schedule. Had a great experience with them.

Welcome Amy! As Ann said, you have finalized the hardest part...the location! Now for the fun stuff....planning!! I'm sure the wedding planner will get back to you, sometimes it just takes a little while.
  17. I think depends on how many people you are expecting and how formal/traditional you want to be. Our reception is going to be fairly traditional with dinner, a cake and a DJ. We're doing the father/daughter, mother/son, first dance. We're not doing the boquet or garter toss. It's basically going to be a big, fun party. Some people go all out and have fire dancers, fireworks, salsa dancers, cigar rollers....the options are endless.
  18. I think I liked them better smaller, but with the logo lowered. They are super cute!
  19. I agree too! If you move the design down you'll be able to see it better in the light of the candle.
  20. Glenda~ Don't forget to my wedding on your calendar too!! )

Is the green funnel a leaf? I like it.

  23. I'm planning to do a sand ceremony. I saw this idea and liked it. I might do something similar. http://www.photo.pictronica.com.mx/P...&%20Dan223.jpg

  25. I'm so glad that your wedding was fantastic! Your pictures are beautiful. I think I should have considered PV before choosing Cabo!! I can't wait to see more pics!
