  1. Hi Jennifer, I'd say hire a WC if your resort doesn't offer one. I wasn't going to, but I realized that I don't want to be stressing over every detail throughout my special day. I'd rather pay someone and lessen the burden for myself. IMO, the $$ is worth the peace of mind. I don't think you've choosen a location yet?? Once you choose a location, you'll get lots of advice on WCs who are good in the area.
  2. You're a great Bride!! A thoughtful and kind bride! As you said in your last post, I'd just repeat to your MOH....sexy lingerie!! I'm fearing the same situation as my shower approaches....I can already see it....but like you, I'm going to say "If you insist on getting me a gift, lingerie please!" Let us know how your shower turns out!!
  3. Let us know if we can help you with anything.

  5. Andreslove ~ Lenita is getting married there in early March and Onelove ~Andrea is also getting married there (in Oct. I think). Have you seen this thread about a review on the Moon Palace? http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1393 It might help you. Here is another one with pricing info, etc. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t8 ....hope this helps
  6. Welcome! I'm getting married in Cabo, so I'm not much help with info on Cancun. But let me know if I can help you with anything else. Like Edyta said, there is another Moon Palace Bride on here...but I can't remember who she is at the moment.
  7. Those look really great! I love the idea of using real grapes. The monogram and the candles with the ribbon are beautiful. I like the idea of using a mirror underneath it...it would reflect the light and look beautiful. If you decide to consider mirrors underneath, check out www.sav-on-crafts.com They have some great deals on craft stuff and I saw some mirrors on there that might work for you. They do a cost break if you order more than a certain number of an item. Might be worth checking out.
  8. Welcome Jessica!! Congratulations on finding a location! In my opinion everything sorta falls in place once you decide on a location! Let us know if we can help you with anything. I'm getting married in Cabo, so I won't be a huge help in regard to Cancun questions, but the other Cancun brides will have lots of ideas and opinions to share with you. Happy planning!!
  9. Wish i was more help on this one. Someone mentioned Edith's while I was in Cabo, but I think it is a little pricey. We're doing a drop in welcome reception in our suite, so I haven't researched this. Oh, and Pancho's, but I don't think they've received great reviews lately (I don't remember who, but someone had a tequilla tasting there...was it Jen?)
  10. Yippee!! Tammy is in! So, now we have 7 shells requested (Sarah 2, TammyM 2, and me 3). We're getting closer to our goal of 12. Tammy....thought you said a few days ago that you decided against the sand ceremony? .....Guess we were able to persuade you otherwise? I'm also going to use the sand from Cabo...non-colorized. The zip loc bag is a brilliant idea. :0) ....I'm sure I would have thought of that before we left for Cabo!
  11. I'm planning to spend about the same...I think I'm going to get them each a personalized compact mirror and then buy a spa treatment for each of them at the resort during our spa day.
  12. Welcome Jessica! I'm getting married in Cabo, so I'm not much help with PV. But, you'll find lots of great info here.
  13. Those are beautiful dresses! What a great find! I keep my eyes open everywhere for a great deal on wedding related stuff. It always feels so good to find a bargain. BTW, I found my BM dresses at Macy's last weekend on clearance. I paid $59 for each, marked down from $179...so, I feel your excitement!
  14. I'm with Jason...I think we're all deserving to win. We all have great love stories!! But, Jonathan has the final say.......what a decision for him....only 4 more days .... By the way, noticed a little typo...my wedding date is one month earlier than stated on the poll 6/23/07...not 7/23/07...

I am thinking about using 2 large ones for Scott and I and then getting 2 smaller ones for the kids to use. Let me know. So, I found a website with a really good deal on these shells. $13 each or 12 for $132 (they are 6-7" in width). The catch with the site though is that if you don't order a minimum of $100, they charge you a $15 service fee. So, I was thinking, do you or anyone else, want to go in with me to buy them? I can order them and pay with my cc and then you guys could send me a check for your portion and I'll ship you the shells. I want to buy 3 of them and Sarah if you get 4, were at $91. Here's the link. Starfish, Sea Shells and Tropical Decor by Benson's Imports So let me know if anyone is interested.

  18. Welcome!! You'll find lots of great info here!!
  19. You came to right place to gather information. Everyone here is really friendly and helpful!! Happy planning!!!
  20. shades of pink from burgundy to light pink. The fabric I bought has all of these shades in it and a little bit of gold. I just thought it would dress up the tables a bit.

I am paying $77 including tax to buy 7 black table clothes that measure 70" x 120". If anyone wants to buy these after 07/07/07 let me know. I don't think I will have any need for them after that! Yay!! You solved your problem....now you can focus on the next problem that comes up....I'm learning there is always something wedding related to think about.
  22. I'm going to have a fan for each of my guests (placed on each seat at the ceremony). They are pretty inexpensive. I think I've seen them for about a dollar a piece. The parasols were more expensive when I researched it. The parasols are really pretty though. I like the idea of the BMs carrying parasols.
  23. I'm planning to make my own tablerunners. I think I'm going to have them drop about 12 inches from the table top. Here is some info on table cloth drops... Casual or everyday tablecloths: the drop is 10-12†or about 1-2†above the chair seat. Formal dining tablecloths: the drop is 16-24â€. Floor-length tablecloths: the tablecloth reaches to within 1/2†of the floor (about 28-29â€). If you want to research making your own tablecloths, check out this site..http://www.sewing.org/enthusiast/htm...blecloths.html I personally wouldn't want to make tablecloths...I think the fabric might get expensive.....tablerunners are going to be a big enough PITA for me.
  24. I thought it was going to be less expensive when I started planning it, but it's not turning out that way. I guess the one thing IMO that could make it less expenisive is a smaller attendance by guests. Also, the choice of the destiination might be less expensive (vendors, food, drink, etc.) than a wedding at home (depending on where home is).
  25. I haven't heard of that one, but I did order my dress on line from www.rkbridal.com and had a great experience with them. They carry a lot of different designers, so you might want to check them out. I saved about $250 on my dress and it arrived a month ahead of schedule.
