  1. Lenita, Have a great time!! Can't wait to hear all about your wedding and your husband's reaction to your Boudoir pics!!
  2. I thought I'd share the fans that I bought. I haven't received them yet....should be here next week. I haven't decided if I'm going to attach the program or just open each fan and lay a program on top of it. Hand Fans, Paper Fans I thought these would be easier to transport than the straw fans....but I really like the way the straw fans look.
  3. It's certainly a good indicator that you were pleased with the color and that it seems to match the swatch chart. Thanks for sharing your experience and opinion!
  4. Lenita ~ I love your shoes!! Those are so great!! I bought my shoes online yesterday....I hope they work and don't hurt my feet. They're not as beautiful as Lenita's, but I think they might work (they were less than $40).

Were you nervous about getting the right color? I would want to order pink ones, but I can't tell from the pictures on his ebay listing the shade that I would want....hmm...
  6. looks like the price went up 10 cents each to $1.75 + .10 shipping....still not a bad deal!
  7. Those are really pretty! What a great deal. I think I'll have to go check out that e-bay seller!! Good find Christa!
  8. Thank you Natasha and Ann...I was looking for that sheet again too!
  9. I'm with the majority. I'm writing "and guest" on my single friend's invites. I wouldn't want to go to Mexico by myself either. Also, a lot of our single friends aren't friends with eachother, so they really wouldn't know very many people at the wedding. I have one single friend who isn't going to come because she doesn't have anyone to go with, and I don't blame her.. just my 2 cents.
  10. Jamy, I would love to have a welcome dinner, but unfortunately it just isn't in the budget for us. We even considered doing appetizers and drinks at one of the resort restaurants and that was also too expensive. So instead, we're doing a "welcome reception" in our suite at the hotel. We are staying in the timeshare portion of the hotel in a 1 bedroom suite with a full kitchen, dining area, living area and patio. I'm calling our welcome reception a "drop=by reception". It will run for 4 hours so that people can stop-in as they wish. We will serve cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. I plan to buy all of the food and beverage from Costco. Aside from the cost, I didn't want to have the welcome dinner/reception off of the resort grounds just because of the logistics of getting everyone there.
  11. Your veil looks great!! I love the ribbon detail and the crystals. I'm also going to try to make my own. I bought the fabric, but don't have the time yet....maybe after I mail my invites.

  14. Welcome Mike! I'm getting married at the Sheraton. I think someone from this forum got married at PB Sunset beach, but I can't remember who. Have you considered hiring an outside wedding coordinator to help? It might take some of the stress off of the two of you and ensure that the day runs smoothly...just an idea. Good luck!
  15. Welcome Gladys! I'll try to answer some of your questions the best I can. I'm getting married at the Sheraton in Cabo in June. 1. Wedding in March/April/May or OCt/Nov 2008? When's the low season-for both hotels and airfare? In my research I found that March and April were more expensive than May and June. I think Oct/Nov is just before it gets really expensive. I believe high season is December through March 2. Do our guests need to stay in the same place as the wedding? AI or not. I'm trying to get all of my guests to stay at our resort just because it seems easier that way and we don't have to worry about transporting people around. I believe that if you get married at an AI that you will have to pay for a day pass for each guest who comes to the wedding who is not a guest of the hotel....I think I saw it posted somewhere that at Dreams this is $80 pp. But a Dreams bride could explain the details better. 3. How do you transport people around-when the hotels are so far from town? Some brides hire vans, buses or taxis to drive their guests around, others encourage people to rent cars. 4. Location, location, location-we've been looking at every spot. Casa del Mar vs Sheraton vs Dreams vs Marabella vs Cabo Surf If you have questions about the Sheraton, I'll be happy to answer them.. 6. Should I get a WC? This week I have plenty of time but most of the time I'm swamped with work. But I'm still pretty type a and want to be involved. Any WC suggestions? I hired one just because the Sheraton doesn't have an onsite WC and I didn't want to stress on my wedding day about all of the little details. Depending on the size of your guest list and the resort you choose, you may or may not want to hire one. You'll find lots of great vendor info on this forum. If you do decide to hire a WC, you may want to consider Emiline (sp?). She is "cabo wedding coordinator" on this site and Janet also listed a couple of great WC in her post. 7. any churches people love? I know there is a chapel at the Sheraton, but I didn't see it while I was there. There is also a mission in San Jose and a cute chapel at the El Encanto Inn in San Jose.

  17. I am so behind on the forum....work and finishing my wedding invitations are getting in the way of me catching up...... Just wanted to say, those are beautiful. What a great favor for a wine country wedding! I'm so glad they arrived and were just what you were hoping for!
  18. I'm sending my invites in a box. I weighed one yesterday to check the cost it was about $1.35 each. Boxes, Shipping Boxes, Shipping Supplies, Packaging Materials, Cardboard Boxes - ULINE has a whole bunch of boxes at a good price. I bought ones that were 7.375" square (i think) and about 1 to 1.5" tall. Hope this helps!
