It bonded really well, did you use hot glue? I used the highest setting on the glue gun so that it got really hot and it bonded really well. I also probably put more glue then what I needed just to make sure it grabbed the flower well. What type of flower did you use? Ahh, we're Sheraton sises....is that a word? yes, I used hot glue, but my glue gun is a cheap little $2 thing and doesn't have multiple heat settings. The flower was a silk/latex orchid, probably similar to yours. I think my problem might have been that the flower was slipping a bit when I first put it on...maybe that interferred with the bonding. I'll have to try it again. I thought for sure it was going to work. Ann, did you get the flowers yet? How is the quality of the flower? Is the flower attached to a bobby pin or an alligater clip? ....boy, I'm full of questions in this thread.

I think this is gorgeous- want to come up with something for my tables? lol Thanks Sarah. I'm sure you'll have great table settings. All of your stuff is gorgeous! You're an inspiration to me!
  5. I'm looking into freeze dried rose petals. Apparently, they are nice and won't stain your clothing, etc. and they're pretty affordable. I ordered a sample and will let you all know how they look.
  6. I would also try to see if they can bump up your ceremony time. If it starts at 6 and lasts 20 minutes, you don't have much time for pics after. We're doing some before pics, just so we aren't so rushed at before the reception. But it sounds like you're going to be really rushed, especially without before pics. Did you talk to someone at the Riu? Did you ask if they have other weddings on that day in your location? I can't imagine that they would have so many weddings that they couldn't be flexible with the start time of your ceremony, especially given set-up and break down time of the area. If I were you, I think I'd get a little more persistent...uh, even maybe politely demanding.
  7. By the way, why is the title of the thread "hey Ann"? You didn't want to share your brilliance with the rest of us j/k.
  8. I'm wearing a veil and a flower...I think. Tammy, your flowers didn't fall off the pin? I tried to do the same thing this weekend and the flower fell off. I'm not sure why...I think I'll try again. I also didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for a flower clip. What type of clip did you use? I used a bobbypin looking thing from Michael's that had a flat round area on it. Or did you use an alligater type clip? Super cute!

  11. Courtney ~ Maybe the green stuff are the smell clean crystals in the cat litter??
  12. So, Ann are you going to pack your dress in a rolley or take it in a garmet bag? I agree, carry-on rolley = best piece of luggage!
  13. $30 would be good...saves her $10. Let me know. You can always PM me.
  14. I say yes for chairs and 3 on each side sounds nice....and, thanks....now I want something thrown after the ceremony!

  17. Welcome Kashif! Great work! Glad you've posted...Loreta has spoken highly of you!
  18. Ha! My mom actually made this for one of her friends at work one time. Can you tell my family has a great sense of humor?
  19. I wanted to use color ink and don't have a color laser printer, so I used an inkjet. If I was printing in black ink, I would've used the laser printer. I think there are less smudge issues with laser ink/toner.
  20. My FI and I did a little pre-marital counseling. It was good because it made us talk about things that we hadn't discussed yet, such as finances and inlaw relations as well as the little issues we have in living together....housework. We've lived together for a year and it was a huge adjustment for me to live with someone else. I thought the couseling was good for our relationship. ...so, I voted yes.
  21. Welcome! Glad you found the forum. Looking forward to hearing how your planning is coming along.
  22. I believe it to be a little suitcase with rollers that you can store in the overhead compartment of the plane.
  23. Those are super cute. I think the 12 year old jr. BM would love it too and it would make her feel like one of the ladies.
