See if you can find the sheet music. If so, yes, I do think they could. It's not a complicated piece. It will be instrumental, but that would be pretty.

I love Italy. The best times are May, September, and October. You don't want to go too early in May, though. The first week some hotels and restaurants are still closed. If you're sticking to the main towns, you'll be fine, but places like the Cinc Terre (SO GREAT THERE) and Portofino will still be breaking in their hotel staff members. That happend to me on one of my trips there and that was the third week of May. I avoid mid-June through Aug. 31. The crowds are bad and it's really hot.

Actually - it's Mexico. It's very informal and it would be really easy for you to dance with your dad without calling attention to Aaron. For instance, right after the toast, you could have a DJ invite you and your dad up for the daddy-daughter dance. Then, with about 30 seconds left to your dance, the DJ can invite everyone up to join you (many will join). The song ends, a new (fast, fun song like We Are Family) song comes on - people keep dancing and you slip away off the dance floor. Then, you and Aaron mingle - talking to people, getting drinks for other people, etc. You don't reappear until it's time to cut the cake. People won't even notice if the two of you are or are not dancing. I would be really sad for your dad if he didn't get to dance with you. I would bet that he would also really love a framed picture of the two of you dancing for father's day after your wedding!

Kash - you should ask your vendors. I asked mine and they all declined. My photographer and DJ just asked that they be able to have drinks (non-alcoholoic - they both clarified which didn't matter to me).

Your Not Going To Believe This!
NATASHA replied to ajncooter's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
OMG - well, it's a good reminder that you're on the right track! I dated a guy for a long time that I left. He made a point of sending an invitation to his wedding to my best friend (who he hadn't talked to in five years and who was MY best friend - basically family to me). He once said to me (when we were REALLY young, so it's unfair to totally attribute this to him as stalker-y) that if we didn't get married, he would show up at my wedding because he thought we should always be together. Needless to say, I did not surprise him at his wedding or contact him AT ALL, but when I heard he sent the invite to my best friend, a little part of me thought that he wanted me to call him. EWH - freak! It would have been very strange to see him on TV! -
According to my pilates team (they are also physical therapists) it is not ok to sweat when you are sick. You can, however, stretch and do low impact things like crunches, leg lifts, low impact yoga etc. Plus - you shouldn't go to a gym when you are sick - it's too easy to pick up other things.

We danced to "In My Life" by the Beatles. My dad loves the Beatles and it's a sweet song. Plus, it's fairly short which is good. My dad danced in his bare feet and, at the end, he bowed down - we have a very cute picture of it. I, too was looking for a fun upbeat song. I had chosen Wink and a Smile (from Sleepless in Seattle - Harry Connick Junior - very cute song and easy to dance to), but my dad asked for a slow song. Still love this song! YouTube - Grandma

Love her work - it's beautiful. I tried to get her, but she books out a year in advance. She is very nice, though.

Look around at some of the pictures of the women on the board and find someone whose hair you like. I know that most people have been really happy with the people that did their hair. Personally, I wish that I went with Leigh's (used to be on the board - not our photo friend) hair people - her hair looked great. Here's what she said: "Day of the wedding we had (against my better judgement) Suzanne Morels Company come in and give three massages and pedicues plus my hair. Omg, was i impressed and I am a nail tech by trade. They were so professional and gave an awsome massage. Did I say my hair looked awsome too!!! I would highly recomend them!!!! Plus I loved having that all done right before the wedding it kept me from getting nervouse or frantic about the small stuff." You can see pictures of her hair (full updo, but you get the point) on this post: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1279

I think that is what bothered me most. I took a picture of what I wanted - it was a very simple style that I've had done two times before. I did a trial two days before. I made her do a second style on that day because I didn't like what she did the first time. Neither of the styles looked like the picture (I mean not even close). I wore it the rest of the night (good thing because I was in major pain after a few hours so I definitely didn't want to recreate that). When I went in on the day of, I told her I just wanted something simple and I told her that the last one hurt after three hours so we really had to pay attention to that. Net effect - it didn't hurt (which is the most important thing) and the final style would have been fine had she not pulled some tendrils down that ultimately went flat and look really strange in all of my pictures. So, I'm not so sure that showing them a picture of what you want it to look like will help. My bridesmaid - who had the stylist at the Hilton do her hair, looked great and her style lasted all night.

I'm going to chime in and say that they did a fair job on my hair, but not a great job. I think I would have been happier going with Maye's people.

Any Kashi cereal is really good for you. Plus, they have a lot of fiber and protein so you will stay full longer throughout the morning. I like their Go Lean cereal and Autumn Wheat cereals. Stay away from the breakfast bars, though. Not as good for you, not as filling, and the sugar will make you spike.

We did smores at our rehearsal dinner and everyone loved it. Quick question - can you ask Emeline to cut out hte fruit cocktail and the tres leches cake in exchange for the smores? People will pass on the fruit because it's Mexico. Also, if you're having "cake," they won't need the tres leches cake. We had so many left-over deserts at our rehearsal dinner (hardly anyone had any) that I'm really glad we only had our tres leches wedding cake at the actual reception. You definitely won't miss the extra desserts and the guests will totally talk about the smores at the beach (at least, ours did and still do).

Yes, I used them. They were late. Plus - they only recommended two vans for us after I gave them the count - turns out we needed three! Everyone was crammed in - it was totally unsafe.

Cabo wind/candle question
NATASHA replied to -Kate-'s topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Well - the wind "usually" dies down when the sun goes down. Ask Dreams - they'll have a better idea. -
I got DH the best digital camera ever (Canon Powershot SD750). He loves taking photos and it was time for a new one. He regularly talks about how much he loves it and it was great for him to play with at the pre-wedding festivities. Also, he took a lot of photos from our honeymoon and made a book out of them.
