1. I haven't, but I saw the food and it looked great (good presentation). My friend has eaten there several times, though and says the food is great.
2. I'm sorry Stephanie. That's painful. You can have anyone you want walk you down the aisle and having your brother would be special for both of you. Go with your first instict to just wait and decide later. You have a lot of time and he may warm to coming to your wedding as he has an opportunity to become more comfortable.
3. Almost all of our friends are couples so we're doing a joint bachelor/bachelorette trip to Vegas. I volunteered us all to go to a strip club together. I said the only rule was that I get the lap-dance then he's not actually touching anyone else. Everyone laughed. My FI isn't really into strip clubs but will go and have a good time. I bet we don't even get there, though!
4. So sweet - I'm inspired to share now. My FI and I have been friends for 7 years - dated for 2.5. When we first started to date, he was going through a lot of very big issues - ending a long-term relationship that wasn't really healthy, leaving the company that we both worked for (I had already left), starting a new business, moving back to where I was... We used to go to this really cute restaurant area and watch the sunset and talk and plan. I would literally watch the stress melt from him while we would sit next to each other on the adirondack chairs. One afternoon, after we had a really nice day at the spa, he took me there, we sat on the adirondack chairs and just passed the time like we have for years. He asked me to dance with him. He played a game with me which is totally like him. It was called, "Tell me your favorite memory from the future" (for example, "I remember when chet was a puppy and you turned bright red because he chewed all your shoes.") Then he said some incredibly kind, sweet things about our relationship and then asked me to marry him and gave me a beautiful ring (I finally understood why he was carrying his computer bag - with my ring - around all day including at the spa that we had visited earlier). Then he said, "I remember when you made me the happiest I've ever been when you told me on the adirondack chairs that you would be with me for the rest of our lives."
5. I would love to access this information Janet since they are closed right now. Unfortunately, I don't have enough points. Can you email it to me or can we remove the point system. I'm growing more frustrated.
6. here's the wine list - sorry, I had to do a quick re-formatting as the system wouldn't accept the file size. It's rough (my fault, not theirs)
7. I posted information on the other forum about various restaurants in Cabo and San Jose. This one (Don Emiliano in San Jose) has a great courtyard with an area for private parties. Here is their menu. I will see if I can post the wine list next (it's saying the file size is too big). Contact Angel - he is very nice. 8. We're also looking for transportation options (to/from dinner one night). Has anyone researched this? I am not really finding much information and Maye is out of town.
9. Hi Tammy, What do the member, junion member, etc. designations mean?
10. My dressmaker asked me to bring in my dress two weeks before the wedding and she would re-press it and pack it for me. BUT - I can't figure out the best way to transport it. rolley garment bag? Hanging bag? For those of you who are already married - how did you get the dress there?
11. I am paying $2000 for a 2 minute show. Maye said that they can go as short as 30 seconds. I think (but I can't find documentation in my old emails) that when I was talking about 1 minute it was $1,000.
12. That's SO CUTE!
Natasha and Shawn Casa del Mar 11/11/2006
13. That is a good idea. I was wanting to combine the father/daughter with the mother/son. My FI, for some reason, wasn't thinking in those terms, but I don't think he'd considered that no one wants to watch people dance through three songs? We're going to a very traditional wedding in a few weeks - he'll see it in action there. Natasha and Shawn Casa del Mar 11/11/2006
14. OK - time we got around to this... So, there are many sappy father daughter dances. My dad is a ham - he is funny to watch dance and he's good enough that it definitely isn't embarrassing. However, part of the "I'm having a destination wedding" is to not have to be so stuffy and traditional. I'm SUPER happy to have my dad walk me down the aisle and I know it means a ton to him. He's also (being a ham) going to give a sappy toast (or he'll try to be really funny which who knows how that will go over). Fine. But, I don't want to dance to a sappy song. No Butterfly Kisses. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just not me and I'd also like to dance a fun, fast dance with my dad instead of sway. My FI and I are dancing an argentine tango (we dance for a hobby) to the Assassins Tango from Mr. and Mrs. Smith (the cover to our wedding CD is a spoof on the movie poster - see here http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0356910/) So, here are a few songs (I'm a bit stuck)... -A Wink and a Smile by Harry Connick Jr. from Sleepless in Seattle -Fly me to the Moon - Sinatra -Too Marvelous For Words - Frank Sinatra Anyone have any ideas? 15. OK - so this one is mostly directed at our resident expert, but... For those of us who don't love posing for pictures (which is why most of my photos will be photojournalism style), do you have any advice about things to do/not do when posing for pictures? Also, what can we all do to make the photographer's life easier. The number one thing that every girl on this board wants to do is make sure things go smoothly (for everyone - vendors included!). Natasha Casa del Mar, November 11, 2006
16. Hi Tammy - do you have a picture of the OOT bags that you gave to guests? Also, where did you get them? $5 per with a logo sound great! Natasha Casa del Mar, November 11, 2006
17. Thanks Everyone, Manuel's work looks really good. I am going to see if he is available. Has anyone heard of Dino? Maye has recommended him. It appears that he has shot a lot of wedding videos, but he only has one wedding in his still shot portfolio. Natasha Casa del Mar, November 11, 2006
18. http://www.watters.com/product.php?coll=wtoo&showid=447#

Just picked it this weekend.
We're going with navy - some of the girls wanted a slimming effect and, quite frankly, it looked great on everyone.
We're either going to have the guys wear khaki linen pants and navy shirts or navy pants and white shirts. Not sure what to do about the flower girl yet, though!
Natasha Casa del Mar, November 11, 2006
