  1. Hi Kristi - what did you like/not like from the weddings you watched?
  2. Here's the website. http://www.hivespa.com/weddings.html Hair is $115, makeup $75. I am not having my makeup done there. I can see if they have a MAC artist when I'm there, though. You can email them. They will sometimes take a day or two to respond, but they will respond and will be very responsive. Bambi is the person for hair.
  3. "Do not let your out-of-state MOH pick her own dress...It was so tight that all you can see in all of my pictures are nipples, nipples, nipples." Thought that was worth passing along.
  4. I just saw this in someone's wedding review on the Yahoo groups site so I thought I would pass it along. This was someone who sourced their flowers through Dreams. Flowers......A (I saw a tag on the box that they came from city club (?) The other place in mexico like costco but does not require a membership. The price was quite a bit less then the hotel was charging (she could have taken the sticker off) sooooo I am sure you could get them yourself and save some money.
  5. Yes - I am waiting for confirmation. It's really tough to decide whether I would recommend the property to anyone. It is so beautiful and intimate, but we really have had a difficult time. To everyone out there - you should not get married there or in any way agree to a contract until the construction is finalized. I would say this is true of any property.
  6. You might try Todos Santos. It's a really cool vibe. I love Cabo (obviously - getting married there), but you might find it a bit too commercial feeling for you.
  7. I don't know what your budget is like, but The Turtle Inn in Belize could work really well for you based on how you describe yourselves. The other Coppola property in Belize is better, but it's not on a beach. http://www.romartraveler.com/RomarPa...lasBelize.html

I know Natasha had to go early because I already booked Bambi for the afternoon No need for the frownie - I'm getting married at 4 so, it turns out that having my appointment at 11:30 JUST barely gives me time to get everything done. I'm still trying to work out how I am going to fit in lunch.
  9. It is great. Everything about it is "lounge-ie" Kind of like Miami.
  10. I'm LOVING these. Thank you so much for adding them. Oh - and I crack up every time I see your picture of that cat. This is my favorite
  11. How funny that we're all thanking Juan for finishing Wendy's pictures! We truely are there for each other - even spurring on each other's vendors! Thanks Juan!
  12. Sarah - I'm DYING for you to go shopping again! We want more pics!
  13. I know - we finally solved the hotel situation today (well, I think we did) so now I'm just getting really excited.

But I think the rooms at the Cabo Surf are plenty big and that it would be fun to have a little spa party in the room. I will definitely let you know my thoughts on Hive soon! I have high hopes. (For their prices and reputation they better be good!) Oh My Gosh!!! Yay! Your appointment is right after mine. Maybe we'll get to actually meet! Oh - and i opted to do the trial so if I get near a computer I'll let you know how it goes.
  15. I opted to go to Hive. I love being around people, but also like a bit of me time. Given that we are going to have family around all the time for 4 days, I figured that this would be a great time to just get away and have some me time. We've got 6 people getting either hair and/or makeup so I will join up with them when I am done (and relaxed).
  16. I Janet - I highly recommend a digital photo frame. You can get a great one from Frys for less than $150 (you have to go to the store, though - they don't have any good ones online). Give it to your parents and then surprise them after the wedding with a SD card populated with pictures from the wedding, showers, etc. It's such a great gift!
  17. For lounging by the pool kinda people (my kinda people) I recommend a "ladies that lunch" excursion to San Jose del Cabo. Have a long lunch with some drinks and then stroll around the town a bit.
  18. I'm in if it's at $20. I will be gone on November 10th (yay!) so I'm enterring ahead of time.
  19. Happy birthday - what a great day, everyone's always up for a party on Halloween!
  20. I just don't have luck in the lottery department.
  21. Thank you. As we get closer to the event, the notion of family is becoming more prominent. I like the idea of my FI and I becoming more integrated with one another's families. This seems like a great way to spend time with them and honor them.
