  1. Hi guys I have been working with Denisse also from Fun and Motivation. This has been the best experience thus far. She really gets it and there decor ideas/options mimic what we see here in the States. I wanted to share some pics that she has emailed me! Look in the gallery!
  2. Hi Mindy!!! We're glad to have you aboard. I'm really excited that you're participating even though you are already married. Any tips? Anything you'd do differently?
  3. Adorable! Your sister is quite talented... they are very stylish. I think that route is the most economical route and still have a personalized look. April (Msmaize)also did a similar OOT bag I will definately "steal" this idea!!! It's all coming together now...getting nervous? excited? or just too busy to know?
  4. My turn, my turn!!! I am so excited since I wasn't most familiar with the bridal portrait process. Using the capitol/gov. building was a great idea again! Here's my list: Like Janet I couldn't pick just three: 51 54 27 for sure (I think you are sitting in 27) 13 18 20 31 34 44 46 Good luck trying to pick...sounds like 51 is the one!
  5. Actually the pricing seems very competitive. For the flowers, especially the orchids that sounds about right. Are you using them for the bouquet, corsage, boutonniere. Make sure the appropriate people know since they have to be wired if used in an arrangment. The canopy pricing is about the best that I've seen! Keep us posted...
  6. Great tips Natasha. Thank you and your friend. Having a plan B in regard to flowers was something that I hadn't thought of. The delivery logistics are something that I gave very little thought about.
  7. I started looking the moment FI decided to wear tan suits. We checked department stores, discount stores, and specialty stores. Luckily, we were able to find a end of the season bargain on a tan colored linen suit. I was able to find all 7 marked down to $80ea. Needless to say I was too excited. Living in Chicago linen and lighter weight suits are seasonal. In CA you may have a larger window to select. Besides Banana Republic and JCrew, Liz Claiborne and Parry Ellis made nice suits or suit separates. I vote you start looking now!! If FI doesn't like to shop then narrow down your choices. How many GM?
  8. Beautiful pics Sarah!!!! Juan has done a wonderful job capturing you two; doesn't his work just get you excited for your actual wedding photos. You have your work ahead of you trying to pick out which pic to use for your STDs...Good luck
  9. We've planned to set-up a beach bonfire area the evening of our Welcome Dinner at Dreams. I really loved the concept and when I visited in May it got really cool at night. The warmth of the fire will be welcomed.
  10. if you use the following link then you can get 20%/25% off your next order http://www.vistaprint.com/frf?frf=158954965098
  11. It sounds like a great, fun thing to do. Use it as an icebreaker for your guests...maybe at a welcome dinner/event or rehearsal dinner. I'd pick a gift to give at the end...good tequila, golf shirt- windbreaker, etc. Like Tammy...please keep us posted!!! Map sounds cool too
  12. Fun and Motivation in Cabo rents linens Sunset Weddings in Cabo can have then made for you If you'd like to have the look in the pictues, it looks like a custom job. Most rental companies rent in only one width. You can recreate by renting in one color and running wide width ribbon down the middle. Double sided tape may be necessary to hold the fabric down depending upon you centerpieces. Red and orange will be beautiful by the way!!!
  13. Costa Rica sounds exciting!!!! Several people I know have just vacationed there...it's becoming quite popular. While I don't know much about the area allow me to suggest doing a knottie bio search with Costa rica as your subject. Any bride who got married there or HM there will show up. Good Luck and Welcome aboard
  14. That has to be an absolute bummer, such an odd situation. I think that your brother will be the best escort, but even better would be to have your Mom. Heck you're bucking tradition by having a destination wedding anyway. If I were in your shoes or didn't have my father I would totally do this. Another idea is to have your brother escort you half way and thenlet your mother join you two or take over completely. I'm sure she would be delighted to be in the spotlight!!
  15. I used weddingwindow.com . I have never been more impressed with professional it looks and at $89 (approx.) it was a great value. I also use the planning tools a lot like guest organizer, mass email blast, and the budget calculator. Feel free to take a look at my site and borrow what you'd like. www.mauriceandjenetta.com
  16. Thus far I've heard $2500. I think it's a 2min. show. Don't quote me on that!!!
  17. When I was initially getting married in PV I was going to use Kristin. She's great and has a wonderful eye for detail. www.thedazzlingdetails.com
  18. Great tip! Does sunscreen expire? I'd like to buy early if I can. Jenetta - JPMO Dreams Resort June 16, 2007 Wedding Site
  19. We haven't officially put the bags together yet, however I've looked on bios and have seen magazine articles explaining the gesture. I intend on printing and keeping readily accessable if customs wants to see. Thus far I am going to take a tip from Tammy and April and use canvas tote bags. I will iron on the logo as April did to make it more personalized. For the contents, it'll be the basics. F.Y.I. I intend on purchasing the snacks while I am down there at the local warehouse club called Home and Business. They have candy bars, chips, cookies, and trail mix etc. like sam's and costco. Thus far my Costco membership has expired or I would've mentioned them as well. Jenetta - JPMO Dreams Resort June 16, 2007 Wedding Site
  20. I've thought about this as well since I am making approx. 40 bags (one for each room). I intend on bringing a pic of the finished product just to explain how it works. Also I think that the red flag doesn't go up at customs unless the declared value is high or quantity is excessive. Bringing 40 small suntan lotions or 40 mini packs of pepto/aspirin I don't think qualifies as "for resale" purposes. Jenetta - JPMO Dreams Resort June 16, 2007 Wedding Site
  21. I've read mixed reviews about this. For the brides that didn't get authorization they were fine. It's not unlawful to be a guest taking pics if you catch my drift. Jenetta - JPMO Dreams Resort June 16, 2007 Wedding Site
  22. That's what I assumed however the last thing that I want is to have an issue with the photographer getting past customs... the thought of no wedding pics is kind of scarey. Jenetta - JPMO Dreams Resort June 16, 2007 Wedding Site
  23. April- I've read on the yahoo board that US vendors are required to get authorization to work in Mexico. At the time all of my vendors were from Mexico so it didn't matter. Now that situations may have changed I just want to be clear. Since your photographer was from the States did she have any problem shooting your wedding? Did customs or Dreams give her any issue? Did you obtain the visa? I've recently posted an ad for any interested photographers and there is one that I love in particular. If I could get her, for the cost of a trip only, to snap away for the entire weekend it would be great. SORRY FORGOT THE "Z" IN AUTHORIZATION, CAN'T CHANGE NOW! 24. I've hired him for my videography. His pricing is good and F.Y.I he is somewhat negotiable. Since I've hired him for video I don't know if he works with an assistant for photo. Jenetta - JPMO Dreams Resort June 16, 2007 Wedding Site
