  1. I voted for the 3-6 range since I'll be using one if the ebay suppliers. I originally set a budget of $1000. since I didn't feel like I would be so upset once the dress will be hanging in my closet.
  2. Those are really cute!!! So how long are they? The site wasn't too clear... or maybe I was browsing too quickly. Anyone know?
  3. Have a wonderful time Rebecca. I wish you the best!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to hear all of the great stories
  4. Ann I say go for it! I am When I found the option on ebay and then read reviews or saw pics there was no way that I could pay full price again. I am picking between 2 dresses right now but I don't think the seller is the same. I think you'll be very happy with the end result... keep me posted
  5. I am delighted to here that Mariana is taking over. When I visited Cabo 5/06 she was relatively new. She is our wedding coordinator and just comparing stories Mariana is a lot more accommidating. I hope they intend on hiring someone else so she doesn't get overwhelmed.
  6. We chose Cabo for a myriad of reasons, but the two most important were: 1. Neither of us had been there 2. The area is newer so the hotel decor is more update
  7. OMG Maria everything came together perfectly. I can't rave enough about the floral arrangements and how beautiful the reception area appeared at night. I know that your other pics are just great. You and your new hubby looked fabulous. Congrats again!
  8. Congrats Raina! Bradley took wonderful pics and really captured the excitement of your day. It looked like you had a great party!!!! Kudos on the shoes as well!!! Can't wait to read your review.
  9. Great dress the waist detail is beautiful. Can't wait to see pics of you in it.
  10. I have no idea what dress I will wear for the Welcome Dinner. I am sooo top heavy and a lot of summer dresses have the tiny triangles for the chest. I'll try it on a look like Pam Anderson. Heck I am second guessing my bridal gown... I guess I should figure that out first.

It fits you beautifully... almost like it was custom fit to you. Tammy, love your dresses as well. Who makes tha strapless beige dress?

  13. Thanks. I surely hope so. It's so funny since our friends are turning this trip into an adult spring break... it's going to be interesting.

Welcome Sherry! If you have any questions pleae let me know. I know a lot of us girls are Cabo brides but we still have alot to learn and share. Thanks for introducing your self.
  15. It's official!!!! We have just exceeded our budgeted head count of 75. We are at 77 guests. Not including the photographers. Since I need dinner settings for them I need to add more to the decor budget. It's a good thing parents are springing for the welcome dinner and recepetion set-up fee.

I've never been to Napa, well California. How much do you think it would cost for a weekend. Where would we fly into from Chicago?
  17. That would be a wonderful idea and I am willing to participate. I could always make another. We could just ship it from bride to bride for a nominal charge....

    Hello Everyone!

What you'll find is some of the most active brides are from Cabo but there are others out there. Welcome aboard and let us know how we can help.

Christa That's what's great about DWs. Oh too often families get together for maybe 8hrs max. and then never really get together again until the holidays. At least now all of our families will have more than just a day to bond. You couldn't have said it better...

That way we can all get to know each other while enjoying wine and spa time. For my dad (who is recently retired and is loving learning how to cook from my FI which is a shocker given that he always hated the idea of cooking) we're thinking of flying him in for the weekend when we go to Oaxaca later next year for a cooking school weekend. It's sentimental. In 2004, both of my parents retired and I took both of them (individually) to Costa Rica. They still say that it was the best vacation of their lives. It meant so much to my mom that she and I went horseback riding, hiking, spelunking and the canopy jungle tour while she was still young enough to "keep up." (HA!). Anyway - this is on our "to finalize this weekend" list! Natasha your plans sound delightful!!!

How do you thank someone for something SO HUGE? How do you thank people who already have most every material possesion they want? (at least that I can afford!) Here are some ideas: embroidered keepsake handkerchief (for the moms) weekend at a B&B (not too $$ but still somewhere nice) ?? (Can you tell I am stumped?) We plan to make nice photobooks but those will be Christmas gifts. Do you have any ideas for nice but affordable and/or meaningful gifts that we can give them at or right after the wedding? What are you all doing? Thanks in advance! Here's just a few ideas that we are thinking about for our parents. F.Y.I we budgeted $500 for parent gifts (3 people): 1. Pendants for the moms (2) /pearl or gemstone to match there dresses 2. Titanium and rubber bracelet or Tiffany cufflinks for dad (1) 3. Dinner at Palmilla's restaurant (Charlie Trotter's?) it's suposedly highend 4. Pay for father's attire Janet I really like the idea of a bed and breakfast. What's your budget? When I was thinking about gifts I realized it was easier to think of individual gifts than couple gifts.
  22. I initially wanted a boutique type of resort. PV have alot of massive properties or highrises. I selected the Quinta Real initially but it was too expensive for guests. Followed by Villa Amor in Salyulita but they wouldn't budge on pricing since I would reserve the entire property. I also liked the villa idea but family chose against that. In addition, PV is older so when looking at the rooms I thought it looked more outdated. PV is a great value right now especially with Cabo's popularity. Also, knowing what I know now, if we decided on PV I would've used the Dreams property. Great value, nice rooms, beach front. Let me know what you decide...good luck!

I noticed tall bamboo at the craft stores here and I know that HD sells it too in smaller diamteter. I am not sure where you would get it from in Cabo. Good luck! I think the ceremony would be that much more special to know that your dad made the arch. I think whenever you can get family and friends involved the event is even more unforgettable.
