  1. So I have talked to FI about the night of our wedding and he is convinced that we'll be so tired that sex will not happen that evening. I've searched for something really sexy and vixen like to prove him wrong. Here's a couple of ideas:
  2. That is so awesome Tammy! It's beautiful, simple. and ultra feminine. Have fun slippin it on and off There are very few times in a womans life when we get to be spoiled by all of our family and friends... wedding and first pregnancy. Enjoy it while it lasts. Make sure you spoil her for her special day.
  3. That is such an awesome location... they host a number of celebrity weddings there. I think the following were married there or there guests stayed at the property. You're sure to have a great time if that's where you decide, plus it's pretty secluded. Seal and Heidi Klum Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prince Jr. Colin Cowie also planned a DW there featured in the Grace Ormonde magazine
  4. Welcome to the forum. I can't wait to hear of all the details. Good luck!
  5. Hey ladies, Found this link to some simpe instructions if anyone wants to try Luke and Stefanie 's Wedding Page
  6. Hey guys those were DIY votive placecards. The bride has a bio on the knot and held her wedding at Dreams. I don't think that she gives instructions but I think it's just printed vellus with either spray adhesive or double sided tape follwed by ribbon. Good Luck to all that try this idea!!!!! By the way it's probably a shame that I know some bios by memory.
  7. I haven't officially registered yet but I'd like to do Macy's (since it's natiowide), Crate and Barrel/Pier One, and then a travel registry. As most of you we have already combined two households so the focus is upgrading what we have. Other stores I like: Target, Cost Plus World Market (registry), Bloomingdales, ZGallerie
  8. Welcome, fellow Chicago bride! We are actually flying a Chicago photographer down for the weekend but below is the link to the forum post. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t713
  9. Thanks for sharing. Personally, I haven't boked your vendors but I am aware of most of them. I haven't heard anything negative so rest assured that the main event will turn out perfectly. Re:Mega does it sell fresh flowers, candles, votive holders etc.?
  10. Welcome Taryn! It's never too early to send out the STDs. The concept sounds cute I hope you share with us. Secondly, I also don't know much about villas but when it comes to selecting a caterer i have heard great reviews about Lazy Gourmet. Good luck to you!
  11. Here's what I am thinking: Very natural make-up with paechy/orange undertones. Warm colors, bronzes work best for me. Hair will have extensions and be pinned loosley
  12. Really cute pics! It's going to be cool to have those up in your house with the country background next to your wedding pics with the beach background. By the way, cute shoes!!!!
  13. I also think that you should stick with the an all white color pallete for you and the BM. There is so much color in your arch/alter arrangements. Also, I don't think that it would be bad to add a new bloom to your arrangments, like the calla lilly in burgandy or rose but definately have the lily. The lily is so dominate in your other arrangements. Good Luck!
  14. At this point I am going to splurge and get the teachers tote. Confirmed guest list just got smaller so now I can upgrade. Thanks to Cheaptotes.com, this is by far the best pricing that I've seen ebay included.
  15. Tammy I am a big fan of #2 followed by #3. While I really love Calla lilie I was told they become more expensive in June. Plus the quality cannot be guaranteed. The hypernicum berries (red) are also available at the craft store if they can't source.
  16. Thanks for the review Meaghan! Also thanks for listing the pricing and contact info. You're great!

You are so right... I am a fan of high-end wedding magazine and "platinum weddings" tv show. While indeed some are beautiful it seems like a waste! Especially when it's only one day...

    Hey all!

Hi thre and welcome. Can't wait to here all of the details as they come together. Good luck to you and kudos for booking early
  21. Jill~ I opted for the basic and truthfully, that doesn't really apply. Our guest count never fit the realm of any of the packages offered. The great thing is that Dreams is very flexible and will work with you. For example, the wedding cake that is included will be a birthday cake that we will use the day after. We aren't utilizing the gazebo and so forth. I can only suggest that you don't allow the packages to confuse you. Pick what works best and if none of them do , do it on your own.
  22. Natalie those are so cool. I am a big fan of STD's in the ticket and passport shapes. I think it get's your guest in the mood. It's great that you didn't have to DIY!

After seeing Rebecca's pics I was really excited about the paper lanterns. An alternative is paper floor lamps around the perimeter of the dance floor. 24. Great review Natasha and thanks for including pricing information. You have made the final details that much easier for me and the rest of the girls.
  25. Thanks for sharing! I think I will opt to use a company instead of renting a couple of vans for the weekend. While our events aren't off property, I know how expensive taxis can be.
