So I am one of the few but I really like them larger. Also while this IS more work try cutting a square out of the bag and adhereing the vellum to the inside... kind of a stained glass effect/more translucent. Do you plan on using both monogrammed and blank bags? I have the same logo Also, someone mentioned having bags printed. A knottie , can't remember tried this route and it turned out fine. I think it has to be fed into the printer one by one however.

Any figure, fitness, body building competitors on here??
JPMO replied to lbourassa's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
Sales happen all of the time!!! You actually have so many options for samples at bridal salons as well as couture designers which never really go higher than a 4. Aside from samples, BM dresses just in ivory or white is another option if you want somethink simple and sexy to show off that figure. I understand about wanting to have your dress early. Sometimes it's better to wait a bit especially looking at pics on here. If can make you question your judgement... been there done that. -

Exciting! Good luck to you... In my opinion after competition you will be back to 120 or so. Order your dress then. I would start trying dress now though! Just to get a good idea of what styles you like vs. what really looks good on. I could find your wedding date so I would magine that you have at least a 4 month window after your June competition. Plus, with new dresses coming out now and the next month or two you don't want to get you hopes set on a last year style that can't be ordered. I'd love to see your progress! What's your target weight for fitness competitions? -

Had to jump in here! While I am not a competitor, I am quite fascinated with the lifestyle/sport. I read Oxygen magazine monthly. I think it's based out of Canada! Are you a competitor? I'd love to know when you got started? -
Cabo residents, please correct me but I thought that if you didn't have a card you were only charged $2. I visited a place and I thought it was City Club.

Congrats Jen! I can't wait to read your review and see lots of pics. You couldn't have picked a better time to get away from the Midwest weather. -

Tammy I am sooooooooo late on this but I have made bouquets before and yes you should plan on using more roses. I'd suggest at a dozen, seven orchids is a perfect number. I agree with merry me, try Costco or Sams and hold five roses together. If they are blooming then of course they will take up more room, but most of the time they are in the in between stage.

Chair and linens rentals..
JPMO replied to anaderoux's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Wedding Vendors
What are Tiffany chairs? Do you have a pic? That's a good deal, below rental company average. -
I have scheduled an hour as well. Anything longer becomes very noticable and is rude to guests. To host a coktail hour before the ceremony seems unecessary. ( I think I understood that correctly) I think that serving a refreshment just before the ceremony starts is fine but an entire hour or serving light food is not needed. Plus, guests will be coming from there hotel rooms on property typically so the travel time is eliminated. I would imagine that my guests for exapmly would start to arrive 10-15min before the ceremony is scheduled.

Private Reception at an AI
JPMO replied to MagsieMexico's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Well not exactly. I am yet another Dreams Cabo bride and while we are having a private reception I am aware that it is still on public grounds where guests might stand around to watch the ceremony or dance along to the reception music. I haven't heard of any wedding crashers yet. Most will be respectful of the event. I have however heard of beach vendors trying to sell guests as they are on the beach dining or hanging out. I don't think it was Cabo or Dreams but you never know what may happen. I would continue to plan as if it were private. Notify the hotel of your intentions and if providing at least some sort of privacy is an issue then pull from the hotel or change ideas. I would think that if a hotel can't control that they aren't worth spending your catering dollars with. -
Hi there I had a number of factors for my decision. Some are below: Jamaica: Uncle had a DW there so I didn't want to copy Dominican: Couldn't find many independent wedding coordinator sources. I knew that I wanted outside assistance since I had a slightly larger party. I felt that the one on one attention was better. Hawaii: Flight is too far from Chicago/Michigan plus a bit costly Cancun: Too commercial plus FI had been there Puerto Vallarta: This is where I was going to go, but then I started worrying about room decor and how dated the properties were. Nuevo Vallarta is newer but the pricing reflects that. Cabo: Newer properties. Neither of us had been there before. Was right on budget. Mayan Riviera/Ixtapa: If I hadn't fallen in love with Cabo that would have been my next options Puerto Rico: Not much of a value Criteria: Vacation had to cost $1000 or less per person, be about 4hr. max on the plane, and be relatively easy to get to from most hubs. I also didn't want a mega resort! This was huge for me. Dreams is still a little larger than what I imagined but once we visited it was great. Now about the site: Keep in mind that it initially started as a Cabo wedding forum so us Cabo brides are more dominant. I am glad to see other destinations here since I helps with picking future vacation sites

I've been trying to upload the pic but it's too large. Fun and Motivation has the black linens available for rent. I am also bringing linens from home since Fun and Motivation doesn't have the right sizes for my tables. Yes it's a bit of a pain but I really want some color the more I think about it. No mater what though, it's going to look fine!

Merryme full review & pictures.
JPMO replied to MERRYME's topic in Post your Destination Wedding & Engagement Pictures!
Beautiful!!! The buckets/pew decorations turned out wonderfully... one would never know that it was a last minute idea. I think it was great and very commendable that you took your mother and grandmother's feelings into consideration. To actually have both experiences is priceless. Congrats again and thanks for sharing your review! -

I am nuts! While I am locked into my colors I have been so inspired by turquoise/ aqua and coral lately. Picking colors is sooooo mych fun!

Custom Shirts

I could just put "Muzzefoos" on the shirt, or something like "Ask me what a Muzzefoos looks like" or something like that. Any thoughts? that's too cute as well... if I were to see a number of people with those shirts on it would definatley strike conversation. Glenda, you're idea is wonderful too..quite clever I think that I have posted this somewhere before but I am doing personalized polos for the people participating in the golf outing. The seller is from ebay and the cost is approx. 12 each with embroidery -
How much is your OOT bag costing you?
JPMO replied to andreslove's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Just got me OOT bags in the mail! Cheaptotes.com http://cheaptotes.com/cgi-bin/image/templates/bb041.jpg 3.49 each in orange Ordered on Sat. delivered on Fri. (5 bus. days) Pros: perfect color! quick delivery! nice gusseted bottom/ wide base! Cons: material could be thicker/stiffer - picture depicts a wider bag (like a boat tote not book tote) Overall, I am happy that I upgraded the bag in leau of personalizing the .99 bag. While both would have looked nice it's just one less thing to DIY. Still the best value on line without having to carry high minimums. -
Some more of Rebecca's Photos
JPMO replied to REBECCA's topic in Post your Destination Wedding & Engagement Pictures!
Rebecca, thanks for sharing the additional pics! I have to ask: There are a couple of pics of 3/4 guys standing on the bricks dancing or doing a routine. They looked like it was such a great time! Do you remember what was going on? Looked like an impromptu show? -
I totally wanted to do this but couldn't make the dollars work for before the wedding. How many sessions do you plan on having? Since I have darker, coarser hair it at least 5 seassions were recommended. At $300 per session and a wedding I couldn't swing it. I will totally try it after June though. Have you thought about any other areas?
