  2. Sarah, those came out wonderfully. I really like how you put your name on the side.
  3. Here's where we are thus far. I hope that it helps at least someone else guage where they are or where they want to be. Dreams Los Cabos June 16 Guests: 75 as of 2/1: 65 Budget: $15k
  4. Thanks so much! Yes that's right I do have your email and I will be putting it to great use...
  5. Kash, they came out great! How are you going to arrange them. Will you tie with ribbon, stack in envelope, or place in a pocketfold. I really love the red lace design. Both of those elements make me think Mexico!
  6. A Nano is all that I have too and I think it will be fine. Just in case however I did plan on bringing a laptop with music. The onky thing I am unsure about is whether ir not I should mix the special ceremon/ reception songs into the mix or put thiem in there own playlist so they ca be easily found. Another ? If you stop the playlist to play the first dance song for example can you resume the playlist at that point or does it start from the beginning?
  7. Michaels and Jo-Ann have plastic orchids Approx. $7 per stem. These look the most realistic.

If the speakers are from a standard dj's equipment you can use any mp3 player provided that there is the av output/input. Always check with the rental company since I think they come in different sizes.
  9. Congratulations Danielle! Thanks for sharing your pics and the review. I absolutely loved the pics on the bed. YOU GO GIRL! Cute rehearsal dinner dress too, check out the shoes. The hotel photographed beautifully! Bummer about Scott but at least everything worked out at the end.
  10. LOL! It's a hankie... http://re3.mm-a3.yimg.com/image/2518032440 http://www.urb1.com/news/062805/imag...tory_store_in_
  11. Natalie, I totally understand. Yes I as sending out invites. Yes they include everything that the website said. Yes, I could've saved the money... but OH WELL. The traditional bride in my felt like I needed them. Plus, we are thinking of official announcements. I'd like to send invitations only to those that are coming. FMIL wants invites to go to all that were originally invited, for gift purposes. I think they should just get an announcement. In addition to the traditional invite you can list info. for extra activities/ excursions or travel tips. So instead of just an invite it becomes a Travel Info pack.

  13. While I haven't been I would like to think that the cost is so nominal that it's better to play it safe and have them for guests. I REALLY love the idea of the program fan but I know they are pretty labor intensive. If you opt for the program fan then it will definately be used!
  14. Welcome aboard Elaine! There is such a wealth of info hear, chances are the answers to your questions are somewhere around. I also recommend reading the archives from the first forum. Good luck to you and don't hesitate to call on me for anything.
  15. Thanks for sharing the pics Ana! I had a completely different idea of Cancun, like totally huge resorts and high rises. Judging by all of the hotels that you, visited that is not the case. The gazebo is AWESOME! What a view! Everything is going to come together so nicely. I also really dig the idea of draping fabric within the pergola.
  16. That was a great and candid review! I am actually pretty excited about using the IPOD and Mijares. I never thought to ask him to bring his own IPOD. I wonder... just in case. It's been soooo much fun going through various song lists and picking our favorites. I will definately take heed to your suggestions and run the final ideas/length of playlist by Mijares.
  17. Ok Ann #6 is my absolute favorite!!! It's a great cut and I think you'd look great in it. With that said I have the price (approx.$400). Second choice is #5. Shoshanna is a great brand and would fit wonderfully. good luck deciding since they were all cute for one reason or another.

BRING COMFORTABLE SHOES! Pacifica was so serene and it is adult only. Sunset Beach is great too!

I have started thinking about my pack list and I think I will plan to wear most items twice to reduce bags.

Her voice is beautiful she made me think of Jewel (for some reason, i know there pitch is different). She's beautiful too... now I uderstand why FBIL never moved back- Ha! Ha!
  22. I am wearing a veil! Right now it will be a very simple one without rhinestones or beading and waltz length. I'd also like to do a flower in my hair. I agree how often do you get to wear a veil and I like how they appear in pictures.
  23. I see I am a bit indifferent about this topic. When I found my dress, I was by myself but later visited with my BM, then FMIL, and finally my mother from OOT. So technically, FI didn't see me in my dress. One day however, FI was actually willing to look a gowns and I did try on some dresses. It was great since I got to see he reaction... which was anti-climatic by the way, found out what silhouettes he liked, and he was able to realize why us gals spend so much on the "perfect" gown. To be honest, you will look completely different with hair and make-up. Plus the emotion of the day will still produce that breath taking moment. Since my FI didn't seemed moved by my dress rehearsal he knows now that he is required to shed at least one tear. All in all.. go for it! You'll definately get an honest opinion.
  24. My parent's are footing the bill for Dreams set-up fee for the ceremony/reception and my FMIL is doing the same for the welcome dinner. I had originally budgeted 1000. for all 3. I really wanted to treat them since my Dad and FMIL will be 50 and they've spoiled us thus far. Budget no longer really allows for the 1k splurge but this is what we're doing. Dad: his wedding suit and shoes probably a putter/driver Stepmom: Pendant probably some gemstone to match her dress FMIL: Pearl necklace and bracelet set We were also thinking about just sponsering a boat ride and dinner since they will arrive a day before the remainder of our guests. I think it's nice to acknowledge the parents at the welcome/rehearsal dinner with a gift. Whether it's a hankie or pin, just something.
  25. Jill thank you so much for sharing... the song choice was wonderful as well. I admire your work! You really have a way of capturing the life of bridal party and there guests. I think that's the sign of a good photographer! If I can look at your pics and feel like I am there then I am sold.
