  1. Just a couple of ideas: Use spray paint and just do it in layers Latex paint can be used as well, I think you must apply with a sponge applicator The color on the very tip of the umbrella may not take as well. So just in case, wrap a piece of fabric over it in the same color.
  2. Ann said it best as far as descriptions go and I agree with Karla as far as Pacifica and Sunset Beach being nicer. I stayed at SB but visited the other three properties. Blanco and Rose are older and were so busy in comparison to SB and P. From my understanding a lot of timeshare guests stay at these resorts. I visited in May. For proximity to the city however Blanco and Rose can't really be beat. There IS a free shuttle that will take you to these properties from P and SB! I really loved how quiet and refined the Pacific side is. Both are really elegant and new. I felt like I had received a Palmilla room and property without paying the Palmilla price.
  3. I second, third, and fourth that you ladies look HOT!!! Your FI's are going to really enjoy this treat. Every pic was so classy, tasteful and very sexy. Ann the window shot is the SH*T!!! Your legs do look awesome Sarah, the naughty nurse is so perfect hope you have plenty more in that out fit. Lenita, the maids outfit So unexpected ... so right! Ladies you guys knocked the ball out of the park with this one. Kudos Leigh!!!
  4. Thanks for sharing! The pics are great, if I were you I'd be really excited about the wedding photos as well. There were so many great shots... it's going to be hard to pick between them all.
  5. I voted for number 2! You two are facing the camera for a clear shot It also includes the cheek kiss shot which is too cute
  6. I dont' think that fake flowers are tacky at all however, high quality is the secret. While I am a BIG fan of Wl-Mart and dollar stores, there flowers aren't the ones that you want to use for your bouquets and such. Even at you craft stores the quality can very! Invest in the good stuff. The great thing is you can bring your bouquet home.
  7. Thanks Sarah! I really wanted to include Soduku puzzles but wasn't sure how. I thought about cutting pages out but then what would have been a tad tacky.
  8. I am doing canvas! 1. I rarely pack a beach bag so I assumed that my guests are the same way. 2. A paper bag may not be big enough for what I plan to include 3. Ideally it will be reused. Even if not, just seeign it reappear over the weekend is enough for me.
  9. Sarah, I know that I have said this time and time again but I CAN"T WAIT TO GET DOWN TO CABO!!! Thanks for your reviewwhich reminds me to tell guests about the timeshare people... I really appreciated the review about the Mega. i never had the change to visit and it was my number one regret about my sourcing trip. I am really glad to hear about the rooms amenities as well. That's a great touch!
  10. OMG Ann that's insane! Other than Ebay here's some places in Chicago: House of Brides~ Various locations, but they are often on sale and you can purchase off the rack VIP Occasions~ Elmhurst, Here Comes the Bride~ Web Page Under Construction designer sample shop I do! I Do! 4704 N. Damen, accessories shop but unsure of the pricing and selection Urbane Weddings 1920 N Damen, accessories shop but unsure of price and selection Good luck! By the way before I opted to buy veil online I could only justify spending $150 max and I thought that was a lot.
  11. Go for #2! It's what you really want. Also, don't be afraid of the internet brides are doing it all over the place. I would use NetBride since they have a great reputation; I haven't heard one bad thing yet. Whiel you wait for the dress search Seattle for dress tailors. They shouldn't be too hard to find! I am ALWAYS in favor of the ideal dress and the great thing is it will still be under budget.
  12. Andrea, not being able to take a pic is common. I actually took pics in a fitting room... very sneaky! It is my opinion that $750 isn't too high for a dress, especially if you aren't a two dress bride. If you love the dress, I say go for it! Plus I just notived that you are May 2008 so you have plenty of time. I vote taking a look at another salon but not too many. It can get confusing! I agree with Ann if you love it splurge and cut back elsewhere. This dress will be photographed and you will remember it forever.
  13. How ironic! I was just at Dollar Tree today and noticed that they sell these individually. Dollar Tree also has an option to ship bulk orders to you... really convenient. I have started to wonder about the Cabo wind and the votives that I intend to purchase.
  14. Ok I am not crazy aobut the option. It's a little too rosey on the inside. Definately try Hobby Lobby and tell me what you think. Either orchid you choose will look fabulous with that bouquet.
  15. I know the feeling. I really think that you should start no later than April. I'd start with bi-weekly manicures and then increase to weekly. I started a while ago and definately saw a difference. I suffer from really dry hands so I even had to mosturize with olive oil. I have seen then stopped my regimine but I plan to start in April as well. I am keeping my nails short, but I really want them to look nice and healthy. I also think that I am forgoing the traditional french manicure and just opting for a blush pink color (i.e. Essie brand or OPI bridal collection)
  16. I have seen some great advertisement about LeBlanc. You must share a review about them as well. Since I have never been to Cancun or Mayan Riviera, I knew that if I ever visited it would have to be adults only. Only two weeks to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you are as excited as I am.
  17. The bouquet jewels are such a great idea. It's cool that they haven't forgotten about us DW brides by adding the starfish, palm tree and flip flop shapes. If memory serves, April (MrsMaze31) and Maria (MariaElm) both had them in their bouquets and there pics are posted.
  18. Ana Those look fine but check out Hobby Lobby. I'm pretty sure they have locations around Texas. Well at least San Antonio if you're near! There plastic variety looked a little more realistic. Also, the bouquet shows cymbidium orchids and most of the pics that you took were of the (sp?) phalaenopsis orchid. Does it matter to you?
  19. We're staying at Dreams for 6 nights then moving to PB Sunset Beach in Cabo. I can't be more excited! I am sure that I will slightly regret not having an AI, but I absolutely love the PB property. It's very quiet and romantic! I felt that it was really important to remove myself from the wedding environment since we'll be there just shy of 2 weeks. Repacking will be a bummer, but I hate to do that anyway. So don't worry! Things will be just fine. Scream that you're a newlywed every chance that you get... your bound to get good treatment eventually. You'll be glad of the scenery change after a while!
  20. I voted for #2, followed by #3. The tiered design on both is really flattering! The side waist gathering on dress number 2 looks good on you. Are you wearing your hair down? It had fabulous curl!
  21. Ann For beachy and casual I also vote 1 and 3. I am most partial to 2 since that's the design I am using! Now I am thinking that my post doesn't really help you much at all Sorry!
  22. I didn't read everyone's response but I would recommend that you don't let it bother you. Like some of the other brides, I still have family that hasn't booked. Honestly I expect reservations up till the week of. I gave plenty of time to book but people are such procrastinators. Also, someone had to mention to me that my wedding wasn't as important to some others... go figure! As if? Nevertheless, these people have now booked but it was at the last minute. I would suggest reminder emails. For the bride who's wedding is in 08... you've got a bit of time so don't expect much till after the Summer. P.S. For the record my parents haven't booked yet!

Plus, to give out a quality bag basically ensures that it will be used again well after the wedding. Have you decided on which logo you will use?
  24. Valerie, I was wondering if you were going to give us a review. Thanks so much for sharing your pics as well. I am delighted to hear that mostly everything workied out well! I would've probably been a nervous wreck after the accident moving on to the Big Day! You were such a beautiful bride and the dresses coordinated so beautifully! I am glad to hear that the guys kept on their suits too. My Fi wants to change and I don't want him to. Once again thanks for sharing and Congrats.
