  1. Sarah, the concept looks good! I couldn't tell at all that they were silk; that's a good thing. I'd probably not even add the glass beads, its not necessary. I'd also probably use a votive candle sonce it takes longer to burn out.
  2. Jonathan that is crappy. That was a complete waste of time for both of you. I agree with Natasha, you wouldn't want to shoot for her any way.
  3. I think that sounds like a lovely idea. You could actually save money by hosting it much earlier and serving guests lunch or brunch vs. dinner. I really like the idea of an after party and switching attire. happy planning!
  4. kelly congrats! Rose Hall is such a great property. You can't go wrong! I have stayed in a nearby villa with rights to use the property. I also know others that have stayed there and they have nothing but great things to say. Happy Planning!

  6. Also, you can never have too many candles so plan 4 per table including cake and food tables. Then bring an extra box.
  7. Here's my 2 cents: You will always come out cheaper bringing your own votives and candles. Dreams fee is not per table but per votive. Yes, per votive. The average reception table alone will have 4 or 5. I am planning to bring the prepackaged votives and holders with me. Quantity is still unknown but I intend on 5 for each table. The dollar trees in my area have just started carrying the battery operated candle lights. That's another great option!
  8. The invites are darling! I love the shoe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys will have a blast and it's a good thing it's chauffered so everyone can have a good time.
  9. OMG Andre had such a great and genuine repsonse to the pics. Those looks can never be recreated! Jill I am so glad that you were able to catch that moment.
  10. Janet that would work! And is the best option! If you don't feel like writing on the maracas, a simple tag attached with ribbon or raffia will do.
  11. Ok so here are my notes from my scouting trip about maraces: Souvenir Outlets all over Cabo sell the maracas $1-$3 in price sold individually, not as a set. For a set of maracas they were smaller in size $2 (color red, white and green like the flag of Mexico) Individuals: were larger in size and were in the following colors, black lime, red, white, and lavender. I thought I remebered yellow but didn't write taht down. The best variety in color was Souvenir Outlet located across from Nik San Japanese Rest. and next to Legacy Jewelry in Cabo For all forms of souvenirs, the shop inside Puerto Paraiso mall had it all! Shot glasses $2-$4 Tabasco $1.50-$2 Vanilla $3 small bottle Hope this helps!
  12. Sarah those came out really great! It's hard to believe that it's as simple as heating the tissue paper.
  13. Jill thanks so much for thinking about us gals back here. It's such a tease but I can't wait for Lenita's wedding pics! I was so delighted to know that you were her photographer, your work is beautiful. Have a great time and tell Lenita to bring that sunshine home for all of us stuck with the snow in Chicago.

    Hi all

Lisa there is sooooo much information available, especially for Dreams Los Cabos. Just about every question that you may have has probably been answered somewher in this forum. Whatever you'd like to know don't hesitate to ask! Look forward to your input on the forum.
  15. Christa while it feels like you are going through this alone ... trust you are not. This happens to all brides! Heck I am still 3 months out and starting to stress. Remember that we are all here to help absorb some of the stress! Sorry to hear about your family dog! Can your 16y.o. stay at your Mom's or the dog stay at your house as well?
  16. Mikki I am very familiar with this concept of controlling invites but I don't recommend it for DWs. Mainly because people RSVP to come and then don't. Others say no prematurely and then change there mind. I'd recommend making one list and counting your heads then. I guarantee that your numbers WILL fluctuate a couple of times. Another potential issue is when invites go to mutual friends at different times. Guests invited or not may question where their invite is.
  17. I think that you should totally bring it up in conversation. Not necessarily to vent but approach her in a more concerned way. "You've RSVP's for everything and yet you've nver showed up. Are things ok?" That should open lines of communication. It's funny that weddings and the birth of children brings out the best and the worst in people.
  18. This is a total must have! At a number of the restaurants menus are printed in dollar. However, for the tourist shops and such it's in pesos. I am debating if I should make a liitle booklet including both currency conversion and spansh phrase book. Thanks Amy! I didn't even think of this.
  19. Great review Sarah! All of the Hilton brides should be estatic, they sound like ideal wedding partners. Having your decor items stored is a huge responsability off of your shoulders. Good luck!

I am SO into shoes and love to see that you are picking such a fun color for such a wonderfully classic shoe. The photographer should have fun snapping away at those beauties!
  21. Bradley, welcome! We look forward to your input and viewing more lovely pics of your work.
  22. Paper Source brides: Also have labels available in the same colors as your stationary. Several shapaes available, as well! These are also easy to format.
  23. Jessalyn, I can totally see why they consumed so much of your time! They are beautiful however, very personal and beach romantic. Can't wait to hear about guests' responses.
  24. Toby haven't seen one like this. I think it's lovely! If Vistaprint offers them that probably means that they are the most cost efective. Will you offer any additional info. or rely on a wedding website? That's my number 1 regret about my STDs, I spent a too much on them!
