So we finally got info from Casa Madrona.... My mom sat down and did calculations and says it is affordable and to call for them to make us a budget. We are planning to go check it out this memorial day weekend, She really likes the place. If all goes well then we will be booking the wedding there for 30 people. It will be held this Sept. 1, 2007. Yup, we decided to do it really really soon. and on Labor day Weekend. I'm going to check the other places too. Thank you girls for the list. I'm so glad you and I are friends. I just got an email from Gilda and she said she just finished doing my cd and will be sending it to me tomorrow by ups. I really like Manuel and he has been so patient and kind with all of my emails and phone calls that I did today. So I know that he will cost more then Gilda but I'm going to go with him anyways....like his pictures a lot more, though I don't think I'll have as many places as Gilda would give me, but it's ok. Or should I go with Gilda, Sorry I'm bouncing back and forth right now. Haven't signed Manuel's contract yet. Gilda said she was going to make up my contract but hasn't sent it to me yet. She will be charging me for 2 hours $600 dollars. Manuel will be charging me for 1 hour $500 but is also calculating 1/2 hour extra for travel and walking, and not charging me that extra 1/2 hour. So I'll have him for 1.5 hours for $500 and he has sent me his contract. So who to choose?

so I'm officially getting Engagement photos with Manuel Burgoin (sp). He was the only one that quickly sent me his contract info and spoke to me on the phone. Gilda took to long to get me her information. Manuel's price for about 1 hour is going to be $500 but his pictures are beautiful. I have a feeling that he is going to be worth it....I can pay him now $250 by wire transfer and then the other $250 by credit card when I see him on July 28th. I'm so excited. drea

So what's another place that Erik and I can get married that accommodates 25 people for a small ceremony and reception that is not expensive. Haven't heard from Casa Madrona yet , so I'm trying to find other places. We want it small and inexpensive. Any help would be great. Thanks girls drea

Great Tammy, would you like to come to my wedding? LOL. Erik and I are so sick of fighting about where to have wedding and guest list that I decided to agree with him and just have important people in my life and his there only (so roughly 25 people) and look into go to San Fran...which was my mom's idea which by the way I loved and head up to get married there. I was born in San Fran and parents used to live in Sausalito. That's why my mom thought of it. I called the place up and asked for wedding info for this year but the lady hasn't returned my calls. Which frustrates me.....hopefully she can return my call tomorrow or I'm just going to have to make a trip to san fran with my mom and check the place out this month Maybe we can meet up for lunch if you have time and are up to it.

Hi girls...I was wondering if any of you have seen or heard or been to Casa Madrona in Sausalito, CA.? Well this weekend while hanging out with my mom, we decided (my mom and I) to forget the big ceremony and reception and just get 15 people on my side and about 15 people on Erik's side and just fly to San Fran on a weekend in Aug. and get married in San Fran. Not have a reception really, just go out to dinner and dancing at a club and for ceremony I was thinking of doing it somewhere with the view of the Goldgate bridge in the background. My mom brought up Casa Madrona, (she and my dad were going to get married there but went to the court in San Fran instead) to have ceremony and small reception there. It looks pretty from pics. So what do you think? p.s. Erik loves this idea....just need to plan it correctly....he doesn't want a wedding with lots of people...just immediate family and friends....so 15 each. drea

So Erik is now talking about Honeymoons, I mentioned I wanted to go to Italy (Venice). So we were thinking of having wedding in May instead of June. Since it's nice and sunny in May. Is this a good time to go to Italy though? Or should we wait till June? I just talked to the surf and sand resort and they told me I can't even reserve the date for the wedding with them till 9 months before the wedding....So now i'm planning this....so frustrating!!! I want my date! Sorry for going a little nuts there. LOL

I'm so excited right now. I got a hold of Gilda and she said she is available right now for my engagement photos. She is going to send me her CD so I can show Erik but I told her that I know for sure that I want her to do my e-pics. She told me that she would take Erik and I in her car and take us to San Jose del Cabo to take pics in town, then we would go to a private beach that she knows of( sorry forgot what it was called), then to Pedregal beach. We will have her for 2 hours. She can't do scuba diving pictures so I guess Erik will have to deal with that. Either way I'm excited. At first she said that she would have July 28 as a tentitive schedule for us until we sign contract and that that date could be given to someone else but I told her that I know for sure that we would want her on that date and to send cd and make up contract. Horray!!
