it is confusing and even more so at customs...people are yelling and its just crazy!! I got stopped with all our oot bags..the girl opened it up and looked at the stuff she had to go through and zipped it right back up. On the way back I snuggled my bouquet in but they tried to take our batteries that we brought into mexico! Just smile and look confused you will be fine :)

doesn't matter if you tell the reservation agent on the phone because they will not relay the message. When you get to the airport look for the flight attendants before they board and politely ask one of them if it would be ok for you to hang your dress on the plane. I am sure they will accomadate you. They don't have too and I 've heard of brides (who weren't so nice) having to sit with their dress in their lap the whole way! Our flight attendant even gave us a bottle of champagne on the plane too

lol....I know it is tiny!! She paid 1500 for the dress so I am not sure how much she is willing to sell it for..it might be a little pricey for a trash the dress? :/..the baby is great..thanks for asking...no one prepared my for all this activity in my tummy though!!!!

Hi Ladies...my friend is selling her Jcrew wedding dress. Its sold out on Jcrew.com and has only been worn once. It has been cleaned and is perfect condition. Its a size 2/4....I think it s a perfect destination dress so I thought I would find out if anyone was interested. I wish I would have included my newsletter with the welcome bags instead of mailing..most people didn't read it and I spent a lot of time on it. People loved ALL the snacks...we went to Costco once we were there and filled the bags. They also loved the candles because of the slight smell sometimes in your room. I also used iron on canvas bags and my guest used them all weekend.

Soooo my dress is hanging in my guest room and I need to figure out what to do with it. The cleaners damaged the dress..slight color change and some of the beading is missing. Basically the dress looks vintage now. Well its so hard to explain without it sounded like its trashed which is why I have not tried to sell it online. I am not really a box and store kinda of person and not willing to spend anymore money on it (it is a Rivini and $$$). ANyone have any suggestions....I thought about donating it but to who?? I had a friend come over and I took pix of her in (since I can't get into anymore) and it still looks nice but not perfect. Anyone?

We brought our photographer from los angeles. He charged us 2500...i think...plus his expenses....I REALLY REALLY wanted Jessica Claire but she was too expensive. I tried to find someone who could shoot as close to her style as possible without the expense. We spent more than we wanted but it was one of the most important things to us so I shaved off in other places like using an ipod instead of a DJ or decorating the gazebo with our own flowers. Have you tried Juan Carlos Or I know some brides have tried the photography schools...someone new where you only have to pay their expenses. The girl who started the yahoo board hired Jessica Claire that way 3 years ago and now she charges 10,000!!! :0 Good Luck!

right? Well..i filed a complaint with BBB and I sent the form to a lawyer friend to read over. Meanwhile I went to the shop I bought the dress and the owner was sooo nice. She refered a cleaners that specializes in restoring gowns and she is going to help me order new beads from the designer. I just can't believe this mans attitude! I've never experienced such appalling behavior froma biz. I think they had to already have known when they gave it to me. Anyway. ..hopefully it will work out. Sometimes I am on here just lurking ..learning how to navigate the forum! All my wedding planning energy is now into decorating our house so I am a regular on furniture websites.

I am not sure where to post this but I just wanted to share: I picked up my dress from the cleaners last night. The same cleaners that cleaned it before my wedding. Before the wedding the owner was extremely nice and explained the process of cleaning it. It was two weeks before my wedding so I was a nervous wreck. They did a fabulous job. SO....Last night when I picked up my dress I noticed not only was it dingy and a slight color off the beading on the dress was messed up. I went back in and asked if they had sent it out with the beads on instead of cleaning it in house like I asked. The girl at the front without looking at it, immediately went and got the owner. He came out with his hands in his pockets and stood three feet away and said what is it? I explained and his respond was "no one will notice." WTF? So I calmly explained that the issue was not someone would notice it was the issue of that the dress is not in the shape it was before I brought it to them. HE shrugged and said is it you don't want to pay? OMG! I said I've already paid..you don't really seem sorry and your attitude as a biz owner is appalling! Long story short I made give me a copy of the "non-liability" release he had me sign. He rolled his eyes huffed and puffed and made me a copy where he had written in AFTER i signed it "not liable for beads and sequins" http://www.pantorium.com/

Hey!! Thanx...it was the best thing I learned during wedding planning just ask and most of the time they will give it to you. I ask for a discount on damn near everything now. Besides everything is marked up twice for weddings...so we deserve some breaks! Tammy that ring is cool! How are you guys posting pix like that I tried and couldn't figure it out.

*butting in* I stayed here a couple of years ago and this hotel is fabulous!!! It was by far the best vacation ever and the staff treated us like royalty! The activites desk will set everything up for you and charge it to your room if you prefer. Food was awesome...breakfast on the balcony was breathtaking. I was sooo sad to leave.

ok...iam so overwhelmed!! I sent my photographer a few pix to "color correct" for our thank you cards (I know Ia m past the thank you etiquette timeline) and he made the pixtures fuzzy!! grrrr....Tammy do you do this on the side? I tried to fix some pix in photoshop but jeez I feel like I need to take a class. I havene't even started on my photobook yet.

My photo didn't get the work permit and he said no one asked him anything. He filled out his thing on the plane as just a visitor not as a biz person. Our coordinator didn't bring it up at all.... I really think they do that so you will hire a local person through them and they can make money. Honestly, our experience with customs was just soooooo easy. They just seemed like they they didn't care about anything. I believe that Tara Knull (sp?) now refers Jessica Claire a lot..is she on this website? WE spread our stuff out between our four checked bags and our two carry-ons. Just a lil fyi...they lost one of my fiances bags along with ten people on our plane...most of our guests had people who lost lugs on their plane (with his tux in it...which I told him to carry-on). I have a destination wedd pack pack advise list which I will post when I get home. I ended up pressing the red button and when they opened my suitcase and saw how much stuff they had to search (my suitcase was big enough for me to fit into) they zipped it right back up and set us on our way.
