  2. Oh yes I think that's me you are talking about being lame and quitting midway through -- I suck! However, maybe I can make new buttons for Season 3. Any suggestions?
  3. Ana -- you are on top of things and have the ability to book your own vendors, so I think you made the right decision. From my experience, which is not working with Maye directly as I did not hire her, but I have been a member of this forum for more than 2 years, Maye can sometimes be great and sometimes be disappointing. Sometimes she gets great prices, sometimes not. Sometimes she personally shows up at the wedding early and coordinates the whole thing and stays for the duration, and sometimes not. Personally, I wouldn't want to be left wondering if you are getting the best service or not, so I think you made the right decision.
  4. Girls I am so sorry I totally fell off the face of the planet on this one. I was going strong at the beginning, but then I got a new job and the rest of my life totally disappeared. The good news is I didn't gain any weight, but over all I only lost like one pound. Ugh. But congrats to all of you, can't wait to see who wins!!!!!
  5. I love Boulder! It's a college town, though you could find areas to live that are less college-y. Housing is expensive for CO standards, but nothing like the crazy east coast. People are super active and fit, very healthy. It's gorgeous up there (I grew up outside of Denver)
  6. Can you just take your marriage license to the Social Security office and change your name there for free? That's what I did.... Congrats!
  7. If she likes your fish you could get her a few small stuffed fish like some of these in this etsy shop: Etsy :: MiChiMa :: .. little hidden treasures ...
  8. Welcome. I think late Oct or early Nov is so nice in Cabo. We loved our wedding at the small, fun Cabo Surf Hotel.
  9. I worked with Lisa Galvan when she was with Tara/FLC (she no longer lives in Cabo to my knowledge). Lisa was amazing -- A+. Tara is expensive though!!
  10. Ann -- my parents are in Denver so if you need ANYTHING just let me know!!! We used to drive from Denver to Minnesota every summer as kids for summer vacation. Omaha is a nice halfway point, lol!
  11. Ann! How exciting! I hope everything goes smoothly. She is soooo cute! Can I say that I think she looks like you, too? Even though I don't really know you, lol. Love that polka dot outfit too...
  12. Thanks for the update -- and the good news! She is soooooo cute! What a personality already. Can you even picture her hanging out in your belly all these weeks?
  13. They are all pretty so I would wear whichever is most comfy so you can dance your pants off. I love the one with the rhinestone buckle the best.
  14. ok you are forgiven next time take the Metro! pics are great...that cake is a work of art too!
  15. I suppose this is written to be funny but it's kind of offensive to me. just sayin'

Oh how could I have forgotten LASIK It DEFINITELY ranks above a vacuum and a laptop. It was probably the best thing I ever did for myself!

I TOTALLY agree about the Dyson Animal. We only have hardwood floors now but it still works wonders. My other one is my Macbook. I love that thing and have used it daily for years and it's still going strong!
  18. Hubby makes a little more than me, but he is also 5 yrs older and has more and better degrees and works longer hours. My hope is that in about 3 yrs we could live of his income and my freelancing or something like that...that might just be dreaming though.
  19. Very interesting thread because I JUST GOT A NEW JOB! woo hoo! I am going to be a nonprofit fundraising consultant (grant writing and major donors) and I'll make 65k. It's the first time EVER I've made as much as DH, though his bonus is bigger. I'm definitely grateful for the opportunities I've had living in DC. My salary has more than doubled in 4 years and I don't think the bad economy will affect my work. Like Christine said though, it's expensive to live here.
  20. Ugh...I gained back the 1.5 I lost last week. Stupid Aunt Flo! And also going to a baseball game last night and eating garbage. UGH!!!!!
  21. Ack! I'm late! Is it too late to give?
