  1. Yes...ugh. I regret it so much, too! I want to be back in wedding shape! There is something about that pressure that kicks your butt like no other.
  2. gorgeous! i also ordered from netbride and saved like $300 and it was a great experience
  3. The Cabo Surf is a boutique hotel but perhaps not upscale enough? It's very possible to have a fabulous wedding there. They combine a chill atmosphere with class and great food really well. But it's no Ventanas/Esperanza/Pamilla or anything...
  4. awwwwwwwwwwwwww so cute! How about Lars? Leo? I want a kitten!
  5. I had Lasik, not PRK, but I have had fabulous results. Probably the best money I ever spent, actually. Hubby and parents both had it too. Sorry I can't speak about PRK.
  6. To Morgan and anyone else who posts before pics, I award you this: Also! I made a few more badges for the siggies: [img*]http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h304/loveisblonde2/biggestloser4x5.jpg[/img] [img*]http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h304/loveisblonde2/biggestloser4x6.jpg[/img] [img*]http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h304/loveisblonde2/biggestloser4x7.jpg[/img]
  7. ditto what everyone is saying, and the best stuff to get the stink out is called Anti Icky Poo (seriously, google it). it really works, and we have tried everything!
  8. My wedding was so long ago that I'm not sure how helpful I can be, but I will say we absolutely LOVED having our wedding there. It's a very chill, cool, relaxed, fun place with great staff and great food. Is Armando still in charge there?
  9. okay more fat animal buttons coming soon (prob not tonight but soon, promise ) Right now I feel like a fat hippo. UGH.
  10. okay...inspired by Ms. Morgan (actually Mrs. Morgan) here are some fat animal badges for all you biggest losers out there. I'm happy to make more, or maybe Morgan will add some more to the mix too [img*]http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h304/loveisblonde2/biggestloser4x1.jpg[/img] [img*]http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h304/loveisblonde2/biggestloser4x2.jpg[/img] [img*]http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h304/loveisblonde2/biggestloser4x3.jpg[/img] [img*]http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h304/loveisblonde2/biggestloser4x4.jpg[/img]
  11. omg the fat animals are cracking me up. I have a 21 lb cat so I know them well......
  12. Hey Morgan, you can definitely make the badges if you want, or I'm happy to do it again, truly whatever you ladies want. I think I might be in for Season 5 once this crazy election is over and I get my life back....
  13. I live on the Hill and used to live in Adams Morgan. You will love it here! Let me know if I can help...
  14. It depends a lot on the venue, and the difference between 50 and 100 ppl can be almost double. Ballpark for a non-AI? Maybe $15,000, give or take $5K? Also, do you want to count your airfare, dress, jewelry, welcome dinner, etc in that figure? There really is no one right number.
  15. It's old now I'm sure but I wrote a detailed zip line review. Search for Canopy Costa Azul.
  16. I love the ones from Real Simple: Daily Thought Wallpaper | Inside Real Simple : RealSimple.com This is my current one:
  17. Every state's laws are different. We did it in Virginia because they didn't require a witness, and Maryland did, I think. And DC required a syphilis test -- EW. Just research your state's laws.
  18. What you mention is exactly what we did -- we didn't make a big deal of it AT ALL. We did have to saw vows though, legally. But we went on our lunch hour on a Wednesday, had NO guests, no rings, no nothing, to keep it as non-wedding as possible. We went to Wendy's and had a Frosty afterward, that was the extent of our celebration. Then we both went back to work. It was perfect! And the wedding felt like the real wedding.
  19. Some resorts have really great on-site planners. Dreams comes to mind as one.
  20. stunning! you look so pretty and those colors are just so classy and regal looking!
  21. Here are my non-professional answers: 1. Is there a better time to refinance than another? Now was a good time for us. Rates are low right now and could rise. But nobody knows. If someone tells you they KNOW what will happen, they are lying. It's all speculation. 2. How long after you've lived in your house should you even consider refinancing? We refi'd after 6 months, but it was contingent on getting a new, higher appraisal. It can't hurt to ask/get quotes? 3. Does it really benefit to refinance?/Does it pay to refinance? You have to do the math: How much does the refi cost? How much will you save each month? How many months until you break even on the refi cost? Will you live in the house that many months? 4. Is it better to try and refinance with your current lender or another one? We chose to go with our original lender, but it can't hurt to shop around for the best quote and the best value.
  22. great review! your wedding sounds AMAZING. Glad you loved Bradley, and DJ Antares...haven't heard his name here in awhile. (I used them both, and FLC (sort of) too!)
  23. I'm an original forum girl! I think I was the first Cabo Surf bride and I was soooooooooo nervous because I did not know what I was getting into at all. Christa was one there too, right? And Tara....and Natasha? and Tasha?
