    Christine those are awesome. Your girls will feel really special, I'm sure. I didn't do anything fun like that, but I did get my girls some nice Thank You gifts at the wedding. I had to stay within budget, but I got them: 1. earrings to wear at the wedding (each a little different) 2. ivory pashmina (my friend brought them back from India herself!) 3. Sephora gift card 4. cute keychain from Three Chickadees (in the wedding colors, of course) 5. JCrew flip flops, also in wedding colors

    I love the lace and it will totally match your "white wedding weekend"!! But yeah....I agree with Christa -- you could show a little more skin in the shoulder area. It is for the beach after all!

    You could always go with the double last name, no hypens. Since both last names are short that would also sound great. Anyway, I like how it sounds!! (Not that my vote matters ) Tasha - I can't wait to see how yours turned out. You had a lot to live up to after those awesome save-the-dates

    lol Rebecca I just got back from the DMV about 20 minutes ago so all this is like deja vu for me!! But now I just have the credits cards/magazines/little things left. Phew!

    Thanks for this info, Rebecca. I also just have raw footage right now...I still plan to put it together myself..but ask me in 6 months if I've done it No really, it's great to know that editing can make such a huge difference!

    hopefully next year we can have enough canadians and enough americans that maybe we can just pair you up with your own country so we don't have to deal with customs/fees etc. But any of you who shipped international, you get extra special thanks from the rest of us!

    I spent in the neighborhood of $200 when you add in tax and gratuity, for hair and makeup both. No trials though. More than I wanted to pay, for sure, but I also didn't want to go cheap on it and hate the photos forever. My bridesmaids all did their own makeup and my sister even did her own hair and they all looked great.

    Even if your name isn't 100% legally changed by the beginning of the school year, of course you can always ask your students to call you by your married name. They'll never know As soon as you get your new SS card, you employer can change your name in their records. (I think...this is how mine worked at least)

    Our bridesmaid dresses were from Jcrew (on sale $120!) and we got lots of compliments on them. They are pretty true to size, perhaps a tad on the small size. Their Sophia dress is really flattering. If you sign up for their emails you will get lots of free shipping offers, and you just return anything you don't like to the store directly. You can also order from the catalogue in the actual store and avoid paying shipping at all.

    Great list! I'd like to second the rental car thing -- just tell your guests to rent a car!!!!!!!!!! It's worth the $$, and then you (the bride) don't have to be an amateur Cabo taxi driver!

    Welcome! If you were to do it at the same hotel, how could you make it unique/different? Like beach ceremony instead of poolside, different menu, decor, etc.
