I think our dinner was at 7 or 7:30 and by the time we all drank, ate, ate some more, and then went back to the hotel to drink some more, the night was perfect. You don't want to have so much fun that you overshadow the wedding day (or, be too hungover to enjoy the wedding day!)

I'm gonna go against the grain and say it doesn't matter. My very first decision was on the BM dresses, and it all turned out just fine. As long as you have an idea in your head of the "vision" of your wedding, just go ahead. It doesnt really matter if you match your BMs or not.

We sent out a little card with the invitations that told people how/where to RSVP online, but then we did not have to pay for envelopes or postage back. Honestly, no matter how you do it, some people will simply not reply and you will have to follow up with them. Sad, but true. Call them, email them, whatever you need to do that works. We sent our STD's 9 months early and our invites 3 months early. You have to balance too early (people aren't ready to deal with it yet) and too late (people don't have time to book a trip).

I would only invite people you WANT at your wedding, so maybe just the 3-4. Don't invite the rest just to be nice, especially because it's a destination wedding. Then you don't have to worry about only leaving one person out! For me, even though I really like my boss, I could not picture him flying to Mexico for me, and then me getting tipsy at my wedding reception in front of him. That's not an insult, it's just the truth! Only invite people you really want to share the day with.

Welcome Lisa. I suggest setting a date for Dreams (or wherever you decide) and then booking a photog right away. Those are the things that are hardest to nail down. Then you have plenty of time to find all your other vendors, and of course we can help!

We got engaged on 11/11/05 and married on 11/11/06. None of it was on purpose at all (if you can believe that! the timing just worked out), but I like it anyway. Our five year anniv is 11/11/11 and my friends and family are all talking about having a reunion in Cabo!

Do you only want Cabo or are you open to San Jose as well? We had 8 people stay here for $250/night (total): Sea of Cortez Los Cabos - Home (Villa) Casa Dolphin It's near San Jose in the La Jolla neighborhood (just outside of town, probably Km. 30 or so)
