  1. Gorgeous! It makes me so happy and also sad all at once looking at yours an Tasha's photos because I can imagine exactly where you are standing and exactly how it felt and it's so amazing and I'm just sad it's over! But really it isn't about me, I am just a whiny baby. Your pics are stunning, really. They capture all of your many emotions.
  2. you guys look amazing! I can totally picture the exact spots you were standing in and everything...the tide was way out huh? I can't wait to hear all the details!!!!
  3. These are the fans we used: Natural Straw Fans (12 pcs)
  4. That is such a cool story!! Definitely the first balloon proposal on this message board!
  5. I am SO excited! I know Tasha's wedding will be so beautiful. I can't wait to hear how the hotel deals with ~45 people over their max capacity!!!!
  6. welcome Ava! Lots of Cabo brides here, you are in good hands
  7. Welcome! Just FYI on the Cabo Surf thing...since it's in San Jose and not actually in Cabo its definitely NOT the spring break semi-naked college girls scene at all. We felt like we were a million miles away from all of that. Check out my pics (link in siggy) if you are interested. Good luck!
  8. My husband wore a jacket for the ceremony and took it off for the rest of the night. He did not wear a tie or tuck in his shirt though, so he still looked quite casual. What is the temperature going to be for your wedding?
  9. That's a good point. I ordered three bunches I think, assuming 1.5 open blooms per stem, but I know I ended up with WAY too many! It was a nice problem to have though, because we had fresh flowers for our whole honeymoon.
  10. Those are the exact 2 kinds of flowers I ordered from there, so if you want pics you can look at my album. However, I never mixed them and I didn't put them in vases either. The lillies are large and dramatic - I'm sure they would look great. I would also probably fill in with some greenery. We used Israeli Ruscus (just do a google image or look at my photos) and Tea Leaves. They are cheapo. Alstromeria kinda look like mini-lillies, but they are not big and bright and dramatic. We used them for boutennieres only. Have you considered gerbera daisies too? I think Christa used them last weekend, and Natasha too.

    Hi!

Welcome! That hotel is so pretty you will not be disappointed, trust me Hope we can help with your planning!
  12. yikes! those are pretty but I personally would never pay $400 for one bouquet! Honestly, you will not care about it that much that day. Where is that quote from?
  13. Yay! Congratulations! I have been eagerly awaiting your review and I'm so happy that it went so well. I knew you would love the Cabo Surf and Bradley!!! I can't wait to see his pics. Have a fabulous honeymoon, you deserve it. Drink a few margis for me, I miss them!
  14. I love #1 and don't mind the front piece at all. It looks great on you and I usually don't love strapless dresses. I also love #2 bcause clearly I love V-necks! I think they are so elongating...I'd almost prefer the V-neck over the halter too, but hard to say since you didn't try it on. Is the Maggie in your budget? If not $258 is CHEAP!!
  15. Ann that totally stinks! I'm sorry
  16. I love the colors and the handmade touches. I think I would recommend that you tie the name just around one "leg" of the starfish, instead of around the middle 2-3 times...I just think it will help keep it looking simple and natural instead of tangled up (if that makes sense?)
  17. Kate - I came across a site this weekend on how to make your own faux red coral: ReadyMade: RE-MAKE "Designer Kate Lydon created this natural reproduction of sea coral by dabbing a large birch branch with red enamel paint. Place the above-water creation in a vase, squint, and pretend you're snorkeling off the coast of Bali."
  18. I am so excited. What do you girls predict? Was her wedding amazing, super amazing, or the best ever? I vote best ever. I can't wait to hear about it. Hers will be the first Cabo Surf wedding since mine that we will get a review for. Anyway, just had to share my excitement. I hope she can log on sometime this week to say hi...
  19. It's going to be so much fun! I can't wait to hear all about it. I would pay a million dollars to be able to go to Cabo this week...I am so jealous!
  20. Hmmmm I like to go running (like in a park or somewhere quiet). Or swim laps. Or take a nap. Get a manicure or pedicure. Could you get a massage, even for 30 mins?
  21. I voted for the restaurant only because a boat might have some bland colors (other than sunset). Blue water and white boat. Whereas a building might have a more festive, colorful atmosphere and just a more dynamic setting. But maybe I am biased because I get extremely seasick and would just imagine myself turning green on a boat (not photogenic!)
  22. Great idea! Other topics I can think of... House related (buying a house, or decorating- like others have mentioned) Finances (if/how to combine them, how to budget, how to invest, etc) Relationship oriented (ya know, how to keep that newlywed spark alive even when you have to clean pee off the toilet seat?!?!) definitely an In-laws or family thread and a TTC/Prego thread... That's all I can really think of for now!
  23. Lenita, you looked so amazing! I'm so glad everything went so well. Welcome to newlywed life. There really will never be enough closet space, I've just gotten used to that fact.
  24. I like #2 too, and the ruching (sp?) of the dress goes well with the BM dresses. And any tailor can make a simple satin sash, so don't feel like you are stuck with those colors. (Anyone with a sewing machine and an iron can - shoot I'll make it for you if you want! ) My 2nd choice is #3, only because it's beachier. I love #1 as a dress but it seems just a little out of place on the beach.
