  1. Tammy, I totally understand what you mean, as I was really stressed about this too. Honestly, I think I stressed more than the damn cats ever did. It kinda helped break them of some of their annoying habits (like begging for food EVERY time I walk by the kitchen) and I'm sure they got lots of love and naps while we were gone. I guess it's prob different wtih dogs but I realized when we got back that the cats had been just fine.
  2. Hey Christa, It was great reading this. I can echo a lot of those same feelings. It really just makes me feel like I have ZERO doubt about marrying the person I married and also having the wedding we had. It's just a fabulous memory and a great way to start your life together! I guess we should just be thankful that we are this lucky in life and love to have all of this!
  3. Great video! You do not look spazzy...just very happy, as you should be. I am sure we were all the exact same way. I would like to be back laying at the pool at the Cabo Surf RIGHT NOW.
  4. Melissa, Thanks for asking and congrats on the 2 lbs! I wish that could ever happen to me. I swear if I don't actively diet I just gain. Ugh. But the good news is that I actually signed up hoping that it would help keep me accountable and I have been good for 6 whole days now, no cheating! I know it's not a lot, but I gotta start somewhere. Hubby swears he is starting with me tomorrow We will see, but it's nice to have a partner in it. Since I paid for 3 months, if you girls need me to look up any recipes or anything for you just let me know!
  5. Hey Girls, This thread is a little old but I'm wondering if we have any PR brides now? My cousin wants to get married there and I told him I'd help but I don't see much on here. Let me know if you know anything! Thanks!
  6. I think I wrote this on another thread you started, but I'd recommend La Panga Antigua. We had our welcome dinner here and it was amazing! La panga antigua restaurant & bar, San Jose del Cabo, Los Cabos, Mexico
  7. I honestly don't think it matters what you write them on, as long as you write them. I did mine on a total hodgepodge of homemade, ones from Target, ones from nicer stores, etc. I don't think anyone cares if they match.
  8. thanks! If you want to look at a private-ish hotel (almost like a villa, maybe?) then I'd recommend looking at the Cabo Surf Hotel. (Yes I am biased but oh well.) If you are thinking all-inclusive I'd also look at Dreams. Oh wait, I just read that you went there, duh. Lots of Dreams Cabo brides on here if you need help. Hilton has a great on-site wedding coord. - Lots of Hilton brides on this board too. One and Only would be AMAZING, but also $$$$$$$$! Casa del Mar is another you might consider?
  9. I'm kind of the independent traveler type so I think it's fine to go alone. Depends on how comfortable you feel and how much you are able to communicate with each venue beforehand. What are some of the sites on your list? Sorry if you posted this elsewhere, but what are you looking for in general? Like: size, all-inclusive or not, budget, etc
  10. I agree that if you could post a photo we might be able to help? Have you seen those fake boobs that my friends and I call "chicken cutlets"? They are like little beige/pink breasts and you just stick them in your bra. My A-cup friends swear by them!
  11. Welcome! Oh you are going to LOVE it there...that is where we got married (well, I guess about 50 feet down the beach). Definitely head to the Cabo Surf Hotel for dinner and margaritas one night. Also, Brisas Trailer park restaurant is really yummy, especially for breakfast (don't be scared of the trailer park part ). And most definitely have a romantic dinner in town at La Panga Antigua. Sooooooooooo delicious and romantic!
  12. Christine - you are SEXY! those are so great! Leigh - you are so talented. I love how much rich color you get in your shots.
  13. Hey ladies.... So ever since the wedding I have been eating basically whatever I want, which is fun...but UGH I am feeling f-a-t. So, I think it's time to step back on the scale and get serious about being on plan. Do any of you ladies actually pay for WW online or etools? I am thinking of signing up just to keep me honest.
  14. Not sure if you are on a budget, but this condo is awesome and it's a way to stay at Casa del Mar without going broke. It's where we honeymooned: http://www.cabovilla.net/ More than once we were the ONLY people at the pool, which was awesome.
  15. Hope you have a great party, Christine! Don't get too hungover, lol
  16. Good point Kash, they don't have to be opposites..I like the analagous ones (like Tasha and her blues and greens). You are the new resident color expert here with your new TV show anyway
  17. Hi ladies, I found this site that helps anyone who is color wheel deficient! You can pick a color and find what complements it (or two or three that complement it). http://www.colorjack.com/sphere/ Turns out my colors of pink and green were complementary. I just picked green cause it was the color of leaves and limes
  18. Awesome story!!! You guys are adorable. My hubby, love him so, but he forgot to bring a camera with him when he was planning to propose. So we have no photos, darnit.
  19. We are having veggie quesadillas and salad. Easy and quick! Paula - I love your siggy. Very unique!
  20. I know you will have really amazing pictures from Juan, but there is something about the video that is cool too. Actually, the fact that the wedding is so small may provide MORE reason to get it: to show all the people who couldn't attend. (Unless they consider that some kind of punishment, lol) If I was looking at my own wedding budget and deciding to spend $200 either on cake or on a video, there is no doubt in my mind I'd pick the video. But that's just me and my 2 cents Reasons not to get a video that I can think of: There will be less that you miss, just because it's smaller. One of my fave parts of our video is when we were off taking photos and they filmed everyone at the cocktail hour giving us speeches and messages to the camera. Some of them were hilarious! Also, the other downside is that there is a big camera in your face at times. Now, I was so oblivious that I didn't notice or care, but with a smaller wedding you might? Sorry for hijacking the thread!
  21. I don't know 2007 prices but I think I paid $50/hr for raw footage but sometimes I kick myself for not paying a few hundred more for edited video. But I was on a budget. If you can spare a few hundred dollars, I'd do it for sure! Even if we don't watch it a ton, I like the idea of having it, and we loved watching it right after the wedding to fill in some of the holes. Plus, Tammy, working with Marci will not add to your stress, I promise. She is super on top of things!
  22. Definitely talk to Marci, who is "BVP" on this board. She and her husband Enrique do video for a great price and they were fabulous to work with!
  23. how about Puerta Vieja? Lots of info on this board if you do a search....
