  1. La Panga is right downtown, across the street from the Catholic church. Lots of people around at all times, I always felt safe. Local Eight is near downtown, but not in it. Quieter. Less foot traffic, but I felt plenty safe. Honestly, I never felt unsafe in Cabo and I spent 2 weeks there, several nights eating in San Jose. Granted, I live in downtown Washington DC....
  2. I have eaten at both. Local Eight we had dinner with both immediate families one night. Very good food, very cool atmosphere. I would totally have a party there. La Panga I loved as well, much bigger and better for a big party though. Both are pricey! La Panga has a great patio area (big) that is perfect for private events. For Local Eight you'd probably have to rent out the whole place or section off half of it or something?
  3. k trying to send...we will see if it works! Now I am listening to the song...awww I love it. I can't wait to see it WITH pics!!!
  4. I have it! How do I email it to you..just in my gmail? what your email?
  5. how about rending a condo at Casa del Mar? It's next to Las Ventanas and you can get one with a kitchen and stuff so you can be more self sufficient. Rates are much cheaper than the hotel. Something like this? (I can't vouch for it specifically, but the property is great) This 1-Bedroom Condo is Too Beautiful ~ vacation rental in Corridor
  6. you could just have them all wear black suits pants and white linen shirts, or some version of that? Since they won't be wearing a tux I wouldn't think they would need to rent anything. Just pick something they either already own or can buy and wear again? just a thought...
  7. Considering that the bride NEVER stopped smiling during the entire wedding, I think it's safe to assume she is a fun person who can appreciate a fun slideshow nice work!
  8. oh i finally saw them!!!! i love your bm dresses! you had the hugest wedding party! ohhh everything looks so pretty and you look happy and glowing!
  9. so pretty! I can tell you and Dan are like googley-eyed in love with eachother

Did you know your wedding pics are on the Cabo Surf Hotel's website? How cool is that?? Tammy - last I saw on his website, the coffee table book was $2200. (I know it's a lot of money and my fiance almost croaked, but I DON'T CARE!!! I'll stop eating if I need to save money to pay for it. That's how much I LOVE it and MUST have it!) Juan did tell me that he was recently at a trade show in Vegas and saw a newer, but better Coffee Table Book that he's going to start offering. He didn't say though if it was cheaper or more expensive. But definitely ask him about it. I think he said he would be putting it on his website soon. I know, I am that crazy lady who emailed Armando to have him post them. In my defense, he did ask! haha. Your wedding will be great - keep it simple and low stress!
  11. oh great...glad it went well! can't wait to hear details. I was just worried I missed something
  12. Jenesis - you are back! Did I miss your review/report? How was it?
  13. Thanks for all the details. I am so bummed that Jacobo was a no-show. What is it with people? It sounds like the Hilton is a good choice for you though. The beach there is great!!
  14. I didn't want to bring a bunch of stuff with me so we didn't do favors. I honestly don't think anyone missed them.
  15. I'm guessing they will have mixed colors of roses and some mixed floral bouquets. I wouldn't count on them having top notch quality or lots of colors, but its worth taking a look once you get there. But definitely have a plan B just in case there is nothing you like?
  16. The Westin isn't far but it's def not "right next door" - truly the next hotel down the road (a few kms) is the Palmilla if your guests have lots of money!
  17. Christa - I bet Sarah's book is made within 2 weeks although I have no idea how you will narrow down..I love them!
  18. yep we relied on vrbo.com heavily as well. one favorite was Las Mananitas. We were able to rent this place (Sea of Cortez Los Cabos - Home (Villa) Casa Dolphin) for $250/night and 8-9 people slept there. Talk about a serious bargain! Other options include some of the hotels up in San Jose. I forget what they are now, but there are about 5 of so of them right in a row on the beach that would be plenty nice.
  19. thanks for all the details, I think they will be super helpful to brides. I'm sorry about all the money stuff...UGH!!!!!!!! I swear it is the one thing across the board that keeps Cabo weddings from being 100% perfect. So frustrating!
  20. I just invited my friend with the best handwriting over, ordred takeout for us both, and we did them all ourselves. They didn't look like traditional calligraphy, but they were cute anyway so I was happy.
  21. I have see the "because you have shared in our lives..." beginning a lot recently. So, I like it, but it's no longer "original" if that is what you are going for. But if you don't care about that, then go for it! Are you worried about people bringing kids or boyfriends or non-invited guests and that's why you have the "we reserved ____ spots for you"?
  22. Glenda, We definitely did not find our dream house! But we are hitting the pavement again tomorrow. Wish me luck! Wow those coop boards sound not so fun. It's a wonder they have any buyers anymore! It seems like a very small pool of people who fit that criteria. Hubby and I are savers with good credit and everything, but we still don't even come CLOSE! I guess I will count my blessings
  23. have you tried jcrew or ann taylor? or even just nordstrom.com or bluefly? we got ours for low $100s from Jcrew.
