  1. OK, I know this may sound dumb.. what is make-up primer?
  2. Welcome Julie! Check out the vbPicGallery for people pictures from around mexico and more. Another way to find goo pictures is on TripAdvisor. Look up the location /hotel etc. and then click "candid traveller pics" - or something like that. I dont' know much about the Riviera Maya but I hope you find what you're looking for here!
  3. That's great news that Emeline has become more responsive. I imagine all these coordinators have so many weddings to plan that they often get overwhelmed by all the different brides. It's probably easier to deal with people as the dates get closer. Did yu ever figure out where you are going to do your spa treatments?
  4. Jackie - I think just about every hotel down there would be willing to do this. But you should definitely talk to the properties you're interested in to find out how many people the pool area can accomodate (might be less than the beach).
  5. I think with your October wedding you would be fine anyway. How exciting - we've finally entered the month of your wedding!
  6. What about asking a tailor to build a push-up bra into the dress?
  7. Sarah - I'm glad you've come to your senses. I'vbe actually had a friend say before, "I can tell when people are pregnant by their face..." and she didnt' mean the size of their faces either! She thinks you get "a look" when you're pregnant. Just goes to show you these people are seriously nuts. It must be the gallons of varying (sp?) hormones dumped into their bloodstream! Anyway here's my food log: Breakfast: soy chicken wrap w/ cheese & salsa Lunch: Spicy tofu w/ brown rice Snack: Pria Bar and strawberries Dinner: 1 slice deep dish taco pizza Snack: Goat cheese & sundried tomatoes Exercise: I was suppose to have Physcial therapy today but I cancelled it because I have a bad cold and don't want to get my P-Therapist sick! I'm going to try and hope of the bike for 30 minutes when I get home...
  8. Here on Michael's website they have a whole section of stuff for weddings. There's 6 pages and all you need to do is click on what you like and they tell you how to make it... Check it out: http://www.michaels.com/art/online/s...eddingad_page1 Here are some of my favorites: Knot Bubble Wands: Sand & Shells Candle Centerpeice: Sea Shell Candle Holder: http://www.michaels.com/art/online/p...heet?pid=w0170 Faux Water Seashell Candle Holder http://www.michaels.com/art/online/p...eet?pid=25012b Anyway they have a ton of ideas and you can check them all out here: http://www.michaels.com/art/online/static?page=wedding
  9. KM - That sounds awesome! My FI and I have been planning to do that same road trip for years (we live in Los Angeles so it's not too far away)!
  10. Maybe they just take a while to warm up and as you get closer to the date they'll get better. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! I'm sure in the end it'l be gorgeous and perfect!
  11. Tammy, Can you just fire them? Maybe pay them a portion of their fee and tell them they don't need to do anything else? Especially since they're not doing what they said they would do! Which of their coordinators are you workign with? At this point it may not be worth it but if you fired them and switched to another coordinator to do just day-of it might be worth it.. I don't know. Just an idea!
  12. KarlaV - Those are SO pretty! Let us know if you can find them at a not so high price!
  13. My dad has tons of Marriott points so I think we're going to try and go to Europe and stay for free! (hopefully). I've only ever been to Spain so I'm dying to go elsewhere.
  14. Jackie are you in RI? I grew up there Also I have to admit that for work I book travel with Expedia and Orbitz constantly. Honestly we have never had a problem with any of our flights or hotels or rental cars and we travel all over the world. One thing that I do think makes a difference however is when you're a frequent traveler you have accounts with all these airlines and hotels, and when you book online they get this information anyway. So the director I work with always get upgraded in the hotels and sometimes on the flights just because she travels with these guys so often. Anyway, I certianly believe people have had problems I just have had a really good experience over the years using these guys. They've even let me cancel penalty-free non-refundable airline tickets (but I booked them and then cancelled them in about 20 minutes...) Just a thought... However what I do often do is look stuff up on Orbitz and then go to the hotelairline directly to see if I can get a better price (sometimes you can and sometimes you can't)
  15. Tammy, Book it on expedia or orbitz - they'll give you a bunch of places with good prices. We had a really good experience with Budget when we went. It was like $12 a day! oops! I just finihes reading everyone else's posts tell you the same thing!

My coworkers all said she's crazy, but it's still a pretty hard blow hearing someone ask you "when are you due?", especially when they are the one that's pregnant! I seriously had a crazy night at work- I swear all pregnant women are nuts! Sarah, that lady is just being mean. A lot pregnant women think EVERYONE is pregnant! I think they want others to be suffering along with them I saw you're pictures and you look gorgeous! Don't forget we all just saw the pictures you had taken by Juan. I don't think that any person in their right mind (note: pregnant people are NOT in their right mind) would think you were pregnant. It's actually ridiculous!
  17. Tammy - very cute! I love the theme you carried through everytthing, Is that the logo your friend designed for you?
  18. You are a better bride than me! I can't wait to see them - I'm sure they'll be amazing and we'll all be super jealous!
  19. Hmmm... that's a tough one. I think your best bet is going to be contacting limo companies to see if they have any speciality cars (this sort of looks like a Rolls Royce) they rent or that you can hire with a driver. It would defintely be worthwhile to ask a coordinator down there as I'm sure you're not the first person to ever want to do this!
  20. I'm thinking about one of the following combos (leaning towards the reds/orange/pale yellows...): But I can't decide!
  21. Janet - I love it! I'm especially entralled by your limes!
  22. Christa - your monogram is great! Did you do it yourself? It looks very professional

That sounds awesome! Post a pic once you put one together. How many of these are you making?
