Great find Ana! I love those printed fans they have. Our colors are red/oranges/ etc. and they have both red fans with printing and orange ones! I'm seriously thinking about ordering half andf half - we could also have it printed with something personal for people to keep as a favor! -

Rebecca's LONG Official Wedding Review
gkashmira replied to REBECCA's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
Welcome back Rebecca!!!!!! Yay! Its sounds like it was a great wedding - I can't wait to se your pics - I'm sure they're amazing. Please do talk to Maye about the bouquet - hopefully it'll help us future brides who are getting our flowers through her. I'm also pricing out flowers thru Emeline at the Hilton but we shall see. I can't wait to see your centerpeices - they sound so pretty! I think that I'm going to specific to Emeline that I want her to run the timeline of the day - I feel like another bride had said something similar about Maye not being very forceful. And since Tammy's right -it can be confusing for two coordinators to know who is taking the lead. I'm so glad you liked DJ Ricardo (Patino or Patina?) because that's who I've hired as well. We are planning on just bringing our ipod for him to play off of but I'm curious as to his usual set-up? Did he play from a computer, CDs, records? It sounds to me like if you took that raw footage and had it edited into a DVD it would be exdactly what you're looking for. Raw footage is always horrible!!!!! Since you're in So CAL. I think you could totally find an editor to put it together for you for a great price - hmmmm.... I'm going to look on Craigslist right now.... While a lot of these people shoot weddings I'm sure you can hire them for editing alone for a discounted price: CINEMATIC WEDDING VIDEO MASTERPIECE!! $199 AND SPECIAL PACKAGES!! DVD Author, After Effects, Compositor, Editor, Available. C demos now. WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY & PHOTOGRAPHY! Wedding Video Slideshows and Photo Montages -
Look how cute these little fans are for $0.99/each. I thought these could be a really cute gift - especially if your wedding takes place during the hotter months: White Paper Fan http://www.whiteaisle.com/paperfan.htm Sandalwood Fan http://www.whiteaisle.com/sandalwood_fans.htm I love these custom boxes with your filling of choice. You can also order the boxes without filling if you want to. Also you can order them without writing so you casn use them as placecards - love these! And only $3.25/box! http://www.whiteaisle.com/labeled_boxes.htm http://www.whiteaisle.com/damask_favor.htm Perfect for a pink/yellow themed wedding: http://www.whiteaisle.com/spring_flower_favor.htm These are cute for decorations though a little pricey - floral bouquet candles http://www.whiteaisle.com/bouquet_candles.htm Pedastal Shell Dish http://www.whiteaisle.com/shell_dish.htm I

I ordered a bunch of WW cookbooks from Amazon and Ebay, so I will have lots of good recipes to share. 1 year and 1 month till the wedding and 20 lbs to take off!!! You can totally do it! You have lots of time - think about it all you have to do is at the minimum lose 2 pounds a MONTH - that is VERY reasonable! Welcome! I highly recommend the "Points Calculator" by the way - it is a life saver!

Yay - we have new members! I made my goal - but so did a bunch of others so not as much $$... but still - at least I don't have to PAY $50!

Welcome! I went to a great wedding on Elbow Cay in the Bahamasa last year - it was really gorgeous. If you have any major questions let me know and I'll ask my girlfriend who got married there.

Why you shouldn't involve your FI in planning......

I'm chiming in late but I think that's a great idea (hiring Juan to take some more pictures - you could even do it the day before so as to not cramp your wedding day). Do the rocks have to be THE famous rocks or will any rocks do? Also sounds like Finisterra is a great option! -
OK, I really need to get in on this whole lottery thing!
-
I hope so! Suddenly I'm not so sure... oh well if I lose all it is is $50 out of my pocket...

I think that's great! I did the exact same thing when I first got my calculator. That way I knew excatly how much to have to make sure my points added up to the right amount of the end. Plus I could steer clear of those higgh point items that don't seem work it. I think the best thing you can do at first is get use to drinking tons of water. At first it was an effort but now I can easily drink like a 1/2 gallon of water a day! Also when I get hungry and I'm out of points I like to make the following "salad" for 0.5 points: 1 can drained and chopped hearts of palms 1 chopped tomato (0.5 pts.) drizzled with vinegar It's actually quite delicious and satisfying (if you like these things). if you do it without the tomato then it's 0 points!

Thanks for the congrats! Yay! More WW gals! This thread isn't limited to JUST WW people - everyone who wants to watch their weight (or try to lose or maintain) is invited! I have to be super good today because if I can weigh 1 pound less tomorrow than I can collect everyone's money here at work! hee hee hee... On that note, I'm going to go get some water!

I think Janeyt loved Bradley... I tried to book him for our wedding but he was already taken -
At least he matches Tom Brady 64%! He is so crazy hot it actually makes me start to feel a little sick

OK here's mine (I prefer the first one for obvious reasons!)... it is so random - I don't look like any of these people in REAL life! But it is fun!

Welcome Nicole! You and me are in the exact same boat - I wanted to lost about 15 pounds before my wedding in June. I've lost about 7 or so since I started 6 weeks ago so now I'm working on the remaining 10 pounds. If I ever get there I'll reassess (baby-steps!). Have you done WW before? I never had but it is really manageable - I love it! It is just working really well for me because it's not so much different than normal life. Anyway - I don't know about this "No Points Soup" - will you post it here or on the WW receipe thread? I LOVE soup! Also Rebecca (who's on her honeymoon) had lost like 20 pounds on WW and has posted up some great recipes and stuff. Sarah, don't worry or feel bad. The lady who talks at the meetings has this really cute saying she uses when people talk about how they overate on day or one week, "We're trying to be slim - not saintly." I don't know why but I love that! Anyway they also say that one meal/one day/one week isn't going to make you fat... It doesn't mean that you can't have a bad week at work and eat more than usual - it just means that when you're done you go back to eating right. As of Thursday at my weigh in I had lost a little less then 8 pounds but since then I've already used ALL my flex points plus to extras... and it's only Sunday! Thank god my flex points re-set on Thursday! I'm with you on saving my points for pie! Here are the tips they gave us about dealing with Thanksgiving: 1. Decide exactly what and how much you're going to eat aheasd of time (it doesn't have to be within your points or anythiing but deciding what you're going to eat helps you to not eat all the other stuff you don't really want. 2. "If it's not the best - don't ingest" (she loves these sayings obviously) - but anyway it seems like good advice. I'm not going to waste my points on anything that's not delicious and worth it! 3. Stay away from appetizers - they're small but caloric. 4. Don't take seconds. Take as much as you want on your first trip and wenjoy it. Don't pretend like you're going to eat a 1/2 cup of mashhed potatoes and then go back four times. 5. Get rid of everything in your house you don't want to continue eating (i.e. that extra pumpkin pie that never got served) Anyway, Wednesday is the end of the "Health Challenge" at y work so I really want to lose another pound between now and then.. why you ask? So I can collect all the money that basically everyone else is paying in ($50/ person who didn't make their goal split among the people who did). As far as I can tell basically no one has met it so I want to do it and collect like $500! That's motivation

Yum! If I hadn't just eaten dinner one minute ago that would have had me heading back to the fridge!
