I think I might add a little business card size insert to ask for people's email addresses. I figure I can put it in ther reply card envelope... maybe people will include them so we don't have to do another mailing before the wedding... I'm glad they were helpful!

I've never heard of sugar busters either... probably wouldn't be great for me because I like sweets! I'm ALSO doing WW and I totally recommend it. I've done about every diet out there (including Glenda's cigarettes and coffee... you should probably stay away from that one) and I really think WW is not only the easiest but also the best. the weightloss is slow but lasting (unlike low-carb diets in my opinion). I had lost about 10 but then gained some back so right now i've lost 8. I am aiming for about 10 more before my June wedding... we shall see! I try to go to yoga (hatha flow - sometimes called "Power Yoga") class 2-3 times a week and on our off days we usually go on some sort of walk/mission in the night time - just to get out there and move. I would love to lose 10 (or more really) lbs. and really tone up my arms and back (the two areas of my body you can see in my dress). I went dress shopping after I had lost about 5 pounds - that way I really did feel good about myself in a lot of the dresses. But I've seen the pictures and I know I want to be slimmer and trimmer!

That is a grat idea! I didn't reall want to spend MORE money on flowers for our cupcakes... this seems like a nice option!

Especially since I am now selling my dress after the wedding - I can at least hold onto the veil to keep for sentimental reasons!

I'm sure it will be wonderful - too bad one of you isn't doing firework... you could share! Anyway good luck finding out info about the Kids Club!

I was thinking about doing fake flowers in my bouquet to save money. The bouquet is pretty low on my list of priorities so I don't want to spend a ton of money but of course I want them to be beautiful! I haven't fully decided yet... I love the idea of using fake orchids Jessalyn - real ones are SO expensive down there! Where are you getting yours from?

I'm sorry I haven't been to the Hilton Kids Club but it looked decent when we went to visit. Are you getting married at the Hilton on 7/7/7? Sarah (SASSYGIRL) is also getting married at the Hilton on that same date!

I wish I had your will power at the S-Bowl party! I ate so much that I'm up two pounds since Friday! I feel so angry at myself - I need to stop being mad and instead just buckle down and eat properly. One thing I FINALLY have re-incorporated in exercise. We've been going to yoga and I've been walking a lot... I hope it makes a difference! But right now I have total PMS and keep wanting to eat everything in sight! i wish I could just be more disciplined... and not crave pizza so much! (My FI introduced me to this Italian restaurant that has this amazing thin crust pizza - best in LA in my opinion - and suddenly I can't stop thinking about it!).

Bringing your fiance dress shopping?

I'm just such a sap My fiance and I do everything together so my instinct is to involve him in this. You've given me something to think about, maybe I should go it alone and keep him in suspense until June? I'm in Hollywood too if you want someone to go with you! In fact my FI is out of town this weekend so if you want to go on Saturday I'll totally help! Either way what is your budget - I can at least recommend some places! -

I did not take my FI dress shopping and I really do think it should be a total surprise. The reason is that to be honest I'm buying this amazing dress so when I come down that aisle I take his breath away! If he saw the dress now than it would spoil the effect. I have to admit that I also hhad diffciculty with not taking my Fi because I rely on him for his opinion on so many things! But anyway my vote is Keep It a Surprise! -
Did Maye ever tell you there was a deposit? She may not actually ask you to sign a contract right there and then. We are workign together for my June wedding and have not signed a contract. As for your sight visit - I agree you should sign nothing while you are there. However I would recommend asking the following questions: 1. How late can we have music? 2. Can you include a free stay at the hotel prior to the wedding so we can come back for a tasting? 3. What decorations do you have that are included in the set-up (often linens, chair bows, candles, etc. can be included) 4. Do you have on-site babysitters for guests who may want to attend the reception without them? 5. Can I bring in outside food (cake, drinks, etc.)? 6. What is your room block policy (if you're doing one)? What is the site fee if we have our event here but do not reserve a room block? 7. What are all the set-up fees (if there are any)? What is included? Have fun!

I was up a pound this week So that puts me still up two from where I was right before my 2-week vacation in mexico. I/;m just having SO much trouble eating right these days... not sure why. But I did find a great yoga class this past week and have been walkign as well. I hope I can finally break and start moving down again sometime soon! Sarah - How much have you lost so far since we starteed in Oct.? I'm only down like 8 or something like that but hey - better than nothing! If I lost another 8 I would be SO happy! Have you guys discovered the 100 calorie bags of 94% fat free kettle corn popcorn?!? They are delicious and the bag is only 1 point. yum!

Edyta, Janet you guys look great! Okay, here's mine (Janet, this model weighs about 100 pounds less than me too... well not 100 but a lot!). The model looks different in the dress - better in some places (tiny waist, long legs) worse in others (she's flat chested and I'm not ) -

Tammy - why do you keep doing this to me?!? Now i want to get married there too! Looks gorgeous...

I walked for about 30 minutes at lunch today... not bad since I'm sore from yoga last night! I m going to TRY and maybe get on the bike tonight but no promises!

I finally re-joined a yoga studio last night and I am so excited about it! BUT, I also was WAY up on the scale this morning. I wonder if it's all the extra water I'm drinking because of the Colonix thing. I hope so! That and the pizza I've been eating...

Glenda - I think it may be too early to buy too many things - keep your options open! The only ting is that you may change the ideas of what you want in the next year and a half! I know that in just the six months I've been planning I've changed my mind on what centerpeices i want about a million times! But for non-negotiable items go ahead and buy them up!

I agree with everything everyone has said (adding a lot to the conversation, huh?!?). Tammy is defintiely in the know when it comes to DW and especially Dreams Los Cabos because her wedding was there! As for people compaining - well we've all bee there. I realize that even if we weren't having a DW people woould be complaining anyway. And I think a lot of us got some resistance from parents as well. Remember that sometimes "new" things scare people. I know it sounds silly but your mom (without even knowing it) might just be scared about you a) getting married in a foreign country. Luckily you've given her MORE than enough time to adjust to the plan. My parents were a PITA at first and now I think they're excited! And the truth of the matter is that Natalie is totally right - this is about YOU and your FI! Also I'm sure people will stop giving you such a hard time once they adjust to the idea. When people say rude or negative things I simply tell them (nicely), "We'd love to have you there but if you can't come than we totally understand." I think when you say this suddenly they may realize that they don't HAVE to come - but you'd love to have them there IF they want to be there. I even have people complaining about the price of the hotel... ummmm I gave people about 100 different options for places where they can stay for way less! So the bottom line is that people are stupid and they love to complain. people also are very selfish and honestly don't think about anyone but themselves. P.S. is there anyone who can help your mom with your grandma?
