I feel like there's always wandering mariachis and musicians in Mexico... I'll keep my fingers crossed that a group comes wandering your way!

And, even though people have to go to work the next day, I don't think that will hinder the drinking for most ppl - it's a wedding! Just my opinion I second all of the above. I also don't drink beer and really only drink mixed drinks, BUT if there was either vodka or rum i would be perfectly content. Vodka is probably the easiet because it basically goes with every mixer out there so you're bound to have lots of happy people. Also what about buying the booze (including the beer/wine/soft drinks, etc.) at Costco? I find that when we have parties we save a LOT by buying our booze there. That way if you do decide on one liquor on it's own or a punch you can buy a couple of huge bottles for not a lot of $$$
  5. At my friend's wedding in the bahamas thhey passed out bubbles. It was on a tiny island and there is no doubt in my mind that these were checked in someone's luggage because you had to take a commuter flight over and you basically couldn't carry on anything but... Weirdly enough this website seems to be saying the same thing... strange. Wedding Bubbles, Bubble Wands, Champagne Bubbles, Wedding Cake Bubbles
  6. I don't think this is true because bubbles are really just soap - they're not like soda (which incidentally can be shipped via air). I wouldn't worry about it - I think it should be fine. Or you may just want to choose another manufacturer.
  7. yay! that's awesome! now you get the best of both world;s!
  8. I have to say, i wouldn't trade places with her for anything!

  10. I love that we are having a destination wedding versus a regular one. I personally am not excited by or interested in a traditional wedding at all. At first my parents weren't excited but I think now they're really looking forward to it. I think it's really important to decide what is right for you and your FI. A DW is right for some people and not right for others. Talk it over and see what you guys think! The one thing I would keep in mind with cabo however is that of all the places in mexico it is probably the most expensive.
  11. Amen! I remember when I thought I could have my wedding for a 1/3 of what it actually is costing... sigh... those were the days!
  12. I got basically the same flip-flops with gold from Nordstrom's Rack as well... I don't know the brand but they were like $20 or $30. I think my friend has the one;s from j.crew and they're really cute.
  13. These could be so cute: Talavera Tiles: Ceramic Tiles, Mexican Hand Crafted Talavera Ceramic Tiles, Mexican Tile
  14. YAY! I'm so glad I can help! I feel like I have gotten SO much help from this site - basically my entire wedding from start to finish! I wanted to try and give some info back to our new brides! I'll post more as I find them Maye Cortinas (my Wedding Coordinator) is also going to price out Talavera boxes and also little Mexican bowls with mexican candles wrapped in cellophane. Because of my lack of time I'll probably go with one of these options - so I'll post pics and prices once she send them to me!

  16. You guys are awesome! Thank you so much - all of you lovely ladies for all your help!!! So I looked up on the knot exactly the flowers that are in the first one and sent it to Maye... so we shall see what maye says! I want to make sure that if I get the more ecpensive one that it looks just right!
  17. I went to Nordstroms' Rack in Glendale and bought a bunch of cute sort of fancy sandals and flip-flops. Check out the one in Costa Mesa: NORDSTROM.com - Shop From Over 500 Brands My dress is champagne so I bought some shoes with gold and some in a more champagne color. Basically what I did was buy like 5 pairs and brought them all to my fitting and then returned the ones I'm not goign to wear... the dangert is I ended up keeping 4 of the 5!
  18. We're doing this polaroid book: Adesso Albums: Instant Photo Wedding Guest Books - Wedding Photo Albums in red... with multi-colored sharpies: http://www.girlawhirl.com/girlawhirl...r_sharpies.jpg and give the guests the options to decorate with gerber daisy stickers that are in our colors of red, orange, and yellow.

Plus you can upload your own logo or pick their clip art for not very much (I think $40/order to customize). I seriously considered getting those water bottles with the silver tops. i would have except my parents don't understand the concept (of water bottles... go figure).
  20. And they're really very affordable! I was thinking that for someone (who has more time than me ) it would be cute to get personalzed shot glasses/mugs/water bottles and put some candies in them (that you can just buy in Mexico) and then just add a ribbon and a "Thank You" tag. they would be lots of fun!
  21. I am so upset! I can't see it either!!!!! I have a Mac at home and at work... I want to see!!!!! (**throwing temper tantrum**)
