  1. You guys are the best! Tammy, I love your idea of exercising during work! You are SO right - exercise is an easy choice between that and work! I think maybe if I can find a work out buddy it will help a lot. Part of my problem is that before the wedding Dan and I went together so it was more fun. But now he's taking two classes at UCLA and of course working so he;s been staying home and doing homework and studying and well just not going with me. Its so much harder to motiate by myself while he stays at home. Maybe I will see if a friend of mine from work wants to start taking a class with me someone... hmmm... you guys are brilliant! I also love the idea of the rewards - the long term effects of exercise are of course the long term awards but I need something more tangible. OK, I'm going ot go look and see if I can find some sort of class to take near work - maybe one of my friends will go with me... Thank for the Cheers - they really GO help!
  2. So now that my wedding is over, my fantastic honeymoon has come to and end and I'm finally back in the habit of waking up to go to work every-morning. I'm eating normal and healthy again and am feeling well adjusted into the usual routine... except.... I just cannot motivate myself to exercise! I need help! Before the wedding I was at least going to yoga 2 times a week and walking a lot and just trying to be active. Now all I want to do after work is go home and do nothing! I told myself that I would give myself one week back before I started back at yoga but now it's been two weeks and I just can't get motivated to go. I went to one class last weekend and it wasn't a "hard" class at all but I'm si out of practice that it FELT really hard! Now I don't want to go back - even though I know it will get better. How can I motive myself to start exercising again? I know I need to to maintain/lose weight, to be healthy overall, to get more energy, etc. My DH is harassing me as to why i'm not exercising anymore and I don't have a reason except that I am just finding it impossible to motivate! How do you guys motivate yourself to get back out there? Any advice?

I did however tip our videographers - marci & Enrique - because they stayed later than they had to to get the bouquet toss and Marci was so supportive the whole day before and night of.

I didn't attend, and I didn't send a gift because I felt like I was just another invite for a gift! Otherwise, If I've spoken to the person ...recently, then of course! In this case I would NOT send a gift! I would have normally if she had NOT written that on her website but in this case I think she's ridiculous and rude.
  5. I always send a gift if I am invited to a wedding or shower - whether I attend or not. However I think a lot of people do not do this - which is OK with me
  6. YAY! Good luck, Jen! K - thanks for your great tips!
  7. Western Alternative cinnamon bagel (1 WW Point) with 2 Tbsp. of low fat cream cheese (2 WW points) or fat free cream cheese (1 WW point). OR Western Alternative bagel with 1 Tbsp. peanut butter and a tiny amount of jelly (yum!!) Also: tomato & hearts of palm cut up and mixed with white vinegar (0 WW points) Salad with hearts of palm, egg white, pepperocinis, green onions and balsamic vinegar (0 points) Baby carrots dipped in delicious salsa... for this to work the salsa needs to be awesome. Fat free "light n fit" vanilla yogurt with a little bit of bear naked low sugar cereal (basically granola)
  8. We paid $350/hour for a trio.. but honestly I couldn't hear them and didnt' really get a chance to listen to them play during the cocktail hour so I have no idea if they were worth it or not!
  9. Also you could consider: West Elm Pottery Barn Restoration Hardware basically every chain store in the world does a gift registry!
  10. I like the blue one! I think that since you'll already have your white dress on your wedding day that it'll be fun to have a beachy blue dress for your legal ceremony!
  11. Simply beautiful! Your hair was so lovely and it looks like everyone was having so much fun! Congratulations, Mrs. Anny!
  12. I have a renters policy with Nationwide - I am assuming my ring is also covered - is that correct?
  13. Other less traditional options are: REI Home Depot EMS also Pier1 Cost Plus World Market Nordstroms Bloomies...
  14. We registered at Bed Bath & Beyond. Most of our guests gave us money (that is what indians traditionally give for weddings) but we also got a lot of stuff from BB&B. The good thing is that if you register for something there and decide that you no longer like it (which sometimes happen - especially if you pick out stuff online) you can return it for cash instead of store credit. Which is good because inevitably you will also be given gift cards for that store and you may not want to buy THAT much more stuff there...
  15. TammyB hasn't been a moderator all along? I just assumed you were you are always on here giving us all fantastic advice! Congrats!
  16. hmmmm.... well when I went to India I had to take Malaria pills and honestly it's not that big of a deal. However one thing to note is that the first day you take them it makes you a little bit queasy - so make sure you start them BEFORE your wedding day!
  17. Great review Sarah - I am dying to see your pics!!!! get some non-prof pics up here for us! It sounds like everything went perfectly! YAY!
  18. Welcome! I recently got married in Cabo myself and I'm sure no matter where you pick you'll have a great wedding. Generally it seems that those brides who get married at All Inclusive places spend less money - so that may be something to consider! Lots of people love Dreams and I think Stephanie really enjoyed her RIU wedding. Sheraton is beautiful but pricier. I never checked out PB or FA but lots of ladies have spent time there!

  20. My recommendation is actually to go through a travel agent (like Tammy our beloved Host if she's available) for the actual booking of the resort, etc. Then since you are having only 10 guests I think you could easily do whatever it is you need with the help of the other DR brides. What kind of things are you planning on? Photographer, video, flowers, decorations...

They used to live in Germantown but they just moved to downtown but I don't know where Sadly we're literally only going to be there for one day (the party) because we're actually attending a wedding in DC on Saturday - driving down Sunday - having the party in the evening and flying out Monday! Yikes! I feel sad because it would have been fun to meet up!
  24. Mrs. B - it's yours! You're in Philly right? I will try and figure out what shipping to philly is and I'll let you know. If you want to skip paying for shipping but you can wait until the last week in October (I know - it's a long time to wait!) I will actually be in Philly for 1 day (my DH is from there and his parents are throwing us a wedding party...).
