  1. I didn't send invites to anyone. I did give my photographer a set for photographing the day before the wedding but was not about to mail out invites to Mexico.
  2. What an awesome photobook! Also it's such a great idea to use this for your guestbook!
  3. Some low cal but filling meals: Salad = this salad is zero WW points so I think there's very few calories and very high fiber (to help with a more natural "cleansing" - Lettuce - Chopped green onions - 1 boiled egg white - chopped canned hearts of palm - cherry tomatoes - lots of balsamic vinegar **You can add a 1/4 scoop of tuna (canned in water) for some protein. Crisp n' Light Wasa crackers with calorie free salsa Replace your grapenuts with spoon size shredded wheat. It's lower calorie, higher fiber and tastes good with the yogurt! WW zero point soup: - saute onions and garlic using cooking spray - Throw in chopped green cabbage, zuccini, green beans, celery, other low-cal low-carb veggies - Add chopped tomatoes - Add spices (Salt, pepper, basil, whatever) - Cook down tomatoes and add fat free broth (veggie, chicken, whatever) - add spoonful of tomato paste It's filling and virtually calorie free! Drink tons of water!
  4. Well I guess my only advice would be the hang in there and wait until you're really excited about something. Dan was out of work at one point for like 7 months and there were a few times where he actually turned down jobs because he realized after the interview that they weren't right for him. Just remember that the interview process is not just them interviewing you it;s also you interviewing them! Or if you need to take something and realize that you can always leave! If you start a job and it's awful and the people are mean then you just quit and keep looking! Plus the grat thing is that you can continue doing freelance work for your SoCal boss... Hang in there - and wait until you find something you actually want!
  5. Mo - That sucks! What a bucnh of B*tches! But trust me you are not the only person this has happened to. I ordered my dress and was measured and everything and they ordered the same size as the sample which fit... well it turns out that the sample was all stretched out! So when MY new dress showed up it fit but it was super unfglattering! I mean it was like, "wow look at that spare tire!" So in the end not only did I pay for it to be hemmed, the straps to be taken up but I also ended up having them let it out all the way! Thank god there was room in it but seriously, they should really tell people ahead of time that even if the sample fits that the dress you get will be smaller! At least the seamstress was nice about it I think I honestly would have killed her if she wasn't... I am very impressed with your restraint and great sense of humor! Anyway my point it - I think I spent more than you for alterations - but in the end it looked great, and you will too!
  6. My vote is also the first one! It's classy and sophisticated but also fun I would be a little worried on the second one that the writing might be hard to read.
  7. I had a dress with an open back and I used these which were great: NuBra.com, The Official NuBra Online Store, adhesive bras, silicone bra, silicon bra, backless bra, seamless bra, breast enhancers, padded bra, adhesive bra, unbra, eves bra, no bra, bo bra, natural bra, padded, invisible bra, invisi bra, jml bra, ma And then I wore low rise spanx...
  8. OK - I signed up for Cozi... I hope my coupon comes quickly! Correction: It already came (basically instantly).
  9. I just ordered a 60 page photobook thru iphoto. It's from our Mexican vacation/road trip from last year so I really hope it turns out good. I'm working on our honeymoon pics for an album right now to. I'll let you guys know how the iPhoto book turns out - it should arrive this week! BTW - What is Lumapix? Wait - I just looked up my own question - LumaPix doesn't work on Macs (and I have a Mac at home and at work - so no Lumapix for me!).

  11. YAY!!!!! We are so happy that you guys like it. I bet the food is delicious - you'll have to let us all know! We are all SO happy for you, Steve and Jackson - congrats!
  12. Here's my new (well not THAT new) favorite, filling 3.5 point lunch!!! Salad from well stocked grocery store salad bar - 2.5 points: - 2 c. Mixed field greens - 1/4 c. Chopped green onions - 1 c. chopped hearts of palm (they're so delicious and they're 0 points!) - 3 egg whites (3 eggs worth of egg white - just grab the rings with the tongs and shake until the yoke falls out!) - 1/2 c. cherry tomatoes - artichoke hearts (Skip them if they're in oil) - 1/4 c. tuna (no mayo or anything) - balsamic vinegar (however much you need to make it tasty!) Salsa Crackers: 3 Wasa Crisp n' Thin 7 grain cracker - 1 point Spicy salsa - fresh made calorie free (ingredients are just tomatoess, onions, lemon juice, salt, cilantro, chilis) (dip crackers in salsa)
  13. Karen - did your hit goal weight? I know it was a long time ago when you last posted but I'm curious as to what happened!!!!! And congrats on doing it - you are my hero! I just re-hit 5 pounds down... so 10 more to go. It's so hard to keep it up and maintain it (for me that is). I'd love to hear your story!
  14. We paid $1500 for 5 hours. With that we got all our pics on disc (about 850), an album with 300 4x6s, as well as 5 8x12s and 10 5x7s of our choosing.
  15. Yay! You guys have been waiting so long for this to happen - 9 months at least! Welcome, Jackson!

Jen - if you do decide to buy nice ones that are made rather than DIY I highly recommend White Aisle!
  18. Definitely rent a car! Also if you do rent a card on your mastercard or AMEX you can probably just bring a printout of the CDW insurance and just pay for the liability. You should make appointments as much as you can. It is possible to just show up someplace but don't expect anyopne to show you around if you do. I would also recommend looking at pictures/reviews ahead of time so you can rule out/in any places ahead of time. We went and saw about a million places and it was crazy but totally worth it because the places we thought we'd like we didn't and the places we thought we wouldn't like we loved! Are you looking for AI or non-AI?

Jamy - the even funnier part is when we got down to deciding it was between the one I got and YOURS! Ha! I guess we both have great taste ! i can't believe you tied yours with ribbon bows too! We easily could have had identical invites without ever even discussing them! very funny! I agree about White Aisle - they were fantastic - quick, helpful and I was SO impressed with the quality of the invites. The paper was beautiful and the printing was perfect.
  20. We spent $908 on invites with response cards and 2 additional inserts. That was for like 150 total I think. I then tied them together with red ribbon (from Michael's) and calligraphied them myself. It was more than I wanted to spend but in the end I loved them. They were from The White Aisle : Unique Wedding Favors and Invitations Here they are:
  21. We walked right through but we did have my friend bring through one of the bags. Honestly we didnt' have that much stuff and since both of us were carrying a dress/suit I think it was obvious that it was our wedding...
  22. Also Nordstroms at South Coast Plaza and some of the other larger department stores have bridal boutiques.
