  1. OK so I totally spaced on the challenge for a few days but I think so far I haven't eaten any "added" sugar. I had a yogurt with shredded wheat for breakfast andf a Zone enchilada meal for lunch. So far, so good! I'm going to make up for the lunges and do those push-ups tonight!
  2. Interesting! I already have my cc linked to obtain miled but I bet I would get double if I went through them.... hmmm... that is a good excuse to shop!

  5. I don't think it's really necessary to sample the food. I mean if you're down there ahead of time you go go by and grab a bite but it's not really necessary.
  6. OK - Don't feel bad I also totally bombed this weekend! No new vegetable - no eat right all day Friday... I defintiely took a day off onSaturday - probs more than I should have!

If you kept your foot parellel to the floor then you're using your gluts - if you have your toes pointing at the ceiling then you work your quads...
  8. It's pretty similar in size to the regular rooms - actually might be the same size! The only difference I could tell (we had a jr. suite and my parents had a regular room) is that they had two queen beds and we had a king bed and a small sitting area.

And no diet coke for 3 days!!! the funny thing is, I had one in my hand today and it actually didn't sound good. I put it back in the fridge. Great job Jen! i can't believe you already got in both your 30 minutes from yesterday! I wish I could say the same for those fattening oatmeal mini-cookies I just ate ... again if I had only read the back of the panel BEFORE I ate them!
  10. Thanks, Jill! So I went to my WW meeting and weighed in. I lost 0.4 pounds this week but just like everyone else was saying earlier I really thought I would lose more! BUT then I thought of it this way. IF I continued to lose 0.5 pounds per week that means I would be 3 pounds lighter by my HS reunion and at goal weight in 5 months. It sounds like a lot BUT I have been struggling to lose weight my whole LIFE - so what the hell is 5 months? Not that much time really... I'm trying to be positive!
  11. OK - last night I was supposed to go to this class with a friend and she canceled because she was sick. BUT I actually went home and got on the stationary bike for 30 minutes JUST BECAUSE OF YOU GUYS!!! Yay!
  12. I think that it makes sense to ask your hotel what tyhey normally do for lighting in these spaces - I'm sure they have a plan.

And here's why, "The National Institute of Health (NIH) guidelines advice setting weight loss targets of no more than 10% of body weight every 6 months. For most people, that means losing less than a pound per week. NIH experts also believe that a slow and gradual weight loss approach is not only safer, but also more likely to lead to long-term weight loss. When it comes to weight loss, slow and steady definitely seems to be the best way to win the weight loss race." AND there's this girl in my WW meeting who has lost over 100 pounds (I think she's at like 107 or something). Anyway they calculated what that meant only weekly weight loss and it came out to 0.75 lbs. a week. And now she's almost at her goal weight!
  14. I think you should just wear it a few times around her and then quietly tuck it away. I think if you do ask her if you can exchange it her feelings might be hurt and it's just not worth it. It was a nice gesture for her to give you a giuft to welcome you to the family - so accept it for that and keep it in a jewelry box for future memories.
  15. OK I got my crunches in and almost all of the things I set out for today. I did go 0.5 points over on my WW points (well i earned two with yoga so I really went 2.5 over ) and I wanted to really get it all going this week. I gaines weight two week sin a row before.
  16. You know the weird thing? On the "Daily Health Challenge" today's small challenge was to do 50 crunches in addiiton to whatever else you were doing! Great minds think alike!

Plus I have no excuse for missing things because when I put it together I took my schedule under consideration (is that cheating? I guess it would be if we were playing for something... other than better health). OK, I have literally drank like 5 oz. of water - I gotta get going on this!
  18. FYI: Mara worked with Emeline for my wedding and she was very, very nice.

I posted a copy of it on my desk at work and on my fridge at home. Here's the list if anyone else wants to print it out. YAY! That's the whole point! I'm so glad it's working! I need to go get that water - I want to try and drink my 64 oz., 50 crunshes, eat right, yoga and work on my freelance work at home... yikes! That's a lot for one day!

It also seems a little more compact than others I've used/had, so I really like it alot. It has a built-in fan too - that's a neat feature. 50 crunches tonight - no problem. I'm babysitting, so once the kid goes to bed, I'll get those in. Let's keep up the good work ladies!!! Wow - awesome job yesterday! Now who's the motivated one!
  21. Yuck - She sounds like a user. If she was "a little short this week" then why is she asking you to do her hair? It's like going to the salon and being like, yes I would like a color and cut. Oh wait, I can't actually pay you... ummmmm.... not cool!

I find that the best way for me to get so much water in is: I have this huge 50.7 oz. "Smart Water" bottle. I just refill it with the office's water cooler. But if I can get the whole thing down before I leave work I can get the last 14 oz. in at home with dinner.
  23. Oh no! I posted this up and then never went to get any water! How ridiculous - I'm going right now!
