Hi There, AMResorts currently has a 3G promo going where you book 5 rooms get the 6th free. We are also able to lock in upgrades and other amenities in the group contract. We have TA's on here that are destination wedding specialists and Apple is usually our last resort in which supplier to use. Lara is right. The rating system is a GREAT way to cross reference your potential vendor. If Ivan Luckie is ranked #3 on BDW that is PRETTY great and shows that there were alot of brides very happy with his service and work. We have alot of the TOP destination wedding photographers on BDW that have been used by many BDW brides.

Welcome to the forum. We work with Dreams Resorts ALOT (I actually got married at one!) and our TA's can usually price match or even price beat experdia rates. If you want to go the group block route, Dreams has a book 5 rooms get the 6th free (some restrictions/exclusions) and you cannot get that by booking through the internet sites. it is a bummer that your fiance's friends are bailing but one of the realities of having a destination wedding is that people that you thought were going to be at your wedding, aren't able to make it. there was no guarantee that they would make it if you had a local wedding either because people are just flaky. my now husband lost one of his best men of a sudden death right before our wedding so he was still grieving at our wedding....just an example that things could be worse...its your wedding so celebrate and be happy and don't sweat the small stuff that is out of your control.

Hello Brides, I have been contacted by a bride and she is upset because the resort that she had planned on getting married at no longer allows outside vendors. When she originally contacted the resort and placed the deposit on the resort and wedding date, she was told that it would not be a problem to bring in her own vendors. Now a few weeks before her wedding, the resort has changed their policies and will no longer allow outside vendors. Then I have seen that a few other members are having this same issue. So a question for you current and past brides. Would you choose to have a wedding at a resort that did not allow outside vendors or you to choose your own vendors? I know I would not have chosen the resort I did if I was not allowed to choose my own vendors. Please answer the poll and feel free to add your thoughts in a reply to this post.
