ok, anyone else...i have asked that you drop the topic of why someone was banned. they were banned because they broke forum rules. if you choose not to follow forum rules, you will get banned as well. I do not care that you do not think it is fair, etc. it is not YOUR forum/website. I am the one that has to get messages and deal with complaints about pp. i asked her nicely to cool it but she could not do so. i have NO tolerance for people breaking forum rules. i especially find it annoying when i post what you should NOT do and you go ahead and do it, then wonder why you are banned. You do not have to like the rules of the forum you just need to follow them or you risk losing forum privileges. Is that clear enough?

what does this mean?
TammyWright replied to PurpleUnicorn's topic in Bugs, issues or "how to" navigate forum questions.
active means posting/commenting etc. you have 13 posts so that is not very active. -
ginger, drop the topic. prettypig was banned because she made not so nice remarks. when she was warned by a moderator she gave them attitude. when she was warned by me, she gave me a snarky response back. that is 3 strikes. we have a pretty no-tolerance policy for being snarky to moderators/admin of the forum. if you want more explanation, please read this thread: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/32834/psa-why-members-get-banned here are specific parts of the thread that you might want to look at: Quote: There are no surprises here. Tammy (the host, administrator, and founder of BDW) runs the forum at no cost to you. ~~ If you do not understand the rules and/or choose not to follow them you may be banned. ~~ If you choose to badger the administration about the rules and what you think they should be, you may be banned. ~~You may not get a warning before being banned. Or your temporary ban may be your warning before a complete ban. We stand to gain nothing by banning members for no good reason. This is a forum where a diverse body of brides, grooms, and vendors is appreciated. We share with and learn from eachother. We appreciate our members and their cooperation with the policies here at BDW. Quote: I also wanted to add that any attitude or snarky behavior to the mods or admins will not be tolerated. Quote: What NOT to do when you get a warning or get banned: 1. When you get a warning DO NOT reply saying that the rule is ridiculous, act indignant about the warning, or give attitude about the warning etc. This will lead to a ban. 2. If you are banned DO NOT re-join just to post about how ridiculous it is that you were banned. This will just get your IP's banned. 3. If you are banned DO NOT stalk me or the mods asking for an explanation on why you were banned. An explanation is given on the screen that tells why you are banned. We do not need to elaborate or give you an explanation that you deem satisfactory. 4. If you are banned and want to get re-instated, DO NOT send a half-ass apology. getting 4 long emails from you saying you are sorry but the forum rules are stupid, then asking to be re-instated, is not going to fly. It is just going to re-inforce our decision to ban you as the right one. I know these all sound like very obvious Do's and Don'ts but you would be suprised. There is a reason rules are in place and people get banned. I know you would like to think that it is ok to say whatever you want, without recourse but that is not the case here. If moderators warn you about your attitude/posting/behavior/etc. you have 2 choices. 1. you can heed that warning or 2. you can disregard the warning, but do not be surprised if you lose forum privileges. if you want to continue the debate about why she was banned, let me know via pm. it will make it easier to ban your account.

Partyflops are great!
TammyWright replied to WAJA2009's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
party flops are also sponsoring vendors of the forum and had a great contest a few months ago. you can find their button ad to the right. -
Hi Mpipes01, The rate for your guests stay is going to depend on alot of things. 1. what dates they are traveling? Airfare rates vary quite a bit. 2. how many people in a room? Double occupancy is the most economic route to go. 3. what room category? 4. when they book their trip. usually the later they book the higher rate they will pay for both the airfare and room portion. Dreams is currently running a 3G promotion where you book 5 rooms you get the 6th free so you might want to look into that. If you want more specific rates, we'd love to get them for you: http://www.wrighttravelagency.com/leads/inquiry/

How do I start a new blog?
TammyWright replied to kks2012's topic in Bugs, issues or "how to" navigate forum questions.
Hi KKS, the blog archives are for old blogs that we had on the forum. If you are interested, you can start your own planning thread. -
well, the wedding seasons are cyclical. most of the brides for 2011 have gotten married but you will most likely see a new "class" of brides coming on in the next few months. we have some november brides about to get married but like i said, the majority got married may/june/july and october. also, just last week the area was evacuated for hurricane rina.
