Yes! We are going to do a conference call early Dec. because they are going to complete some big wedding changes and we will go over the material we would like them to discuss, then we will schedule a webinar, most likely in january after the holidays. Things are a little nuts during the holidays.

these are really questions you should ask your planner because different planners have different pricing models. Some work on commission, some a flat fee, some a combination of both.

Hi Jenni, I am so glad that you were happy with the webinar. I think the Q & A part is awesome as well. Sometimes reading information on the websites, etc can be hard to decipher so much better to get a person to answer your specific question.

if we scheduled the Hard Rock Punta Cana Webinar later in the day on Saturday or sunday morning, would anyone attend? We normally do Saturday morning because that seems to work best for most people...would another time work ok?

well, the hote/resort does a presentation on how to plan a wedding at their hotel/resort. then there is a Q & A session where the bride/groom can ask the hotel/resort questions. then one of our agents explains different travel options: pros and cons of group block vs. individual bookings, what extra amenities the resort may be offering, payment plans, etc.

we are still going to schedule more for after the holidays end of jan, feb, march, april so hopefully we can get a hold of them. some wedding departments and resorts are easier to work with than others when scheduling these webinars.

it is actually quite normal for room rates to go up. Normally there is an EBB rate that is a reduced rate for early bookings. It is why we recommend group blocks for weddings. Not only to guarantee your rooms will be available to your guests but at a lower rate. Most wedding guests will try to book 2-4 months before the wedding and by that time the hotel may even be sold out. We have a hotel that has sold out for some weekends in May already and it had sold out by september! You may see that the rate will get higher as you get closer to your wedding date and rooms get booked = less vacancies.
