i have heard mostly good things about the resort... here is a recent wedding review off tripadvisor. My husband and I stayed at the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Resort and Spa from June 9th to 16th. We had our wedding on the resort grounds on June 11th. About 30 of our friends who came to attend our also stayed at the resort for various lengths of times. Everyone thought the resort was beautiful and had a great time. The grounds of the resort are very well kept, there are winding paths and fountains, everywhere you go there are beautiful tropcial plants and flowers. We stayed for 6 days and still did not walk through the entire premise, which is 26 acres. The old Spanish architecture is beautiful, the villas are in shades of orange, yellow and light pink. The pools are large and very clean, we stayed by the Infinity pool most of the times, which attracts the most people since it's at the front and center of the resort and also has the best view. But it never gets overly crowded and we were always able to find a chair. The service staff at the resort were mostly very pleasant and helpful. Our events coordinator onsite Irma who coordinated our wedding is so sweet and did a wonderful job. Our wedding ceremony took place at the Palapa Fiesta and our reception was at De Cortez restaurant, which served delicious food! We had the best wedding we could have ever asked for and all our guests had a great time. There are many nice resorts along the Corridor in Cabos but I have to say the Sheraton is one of the best ones. Many other resorts do not have such nice grounds and interesting architecture as the Sheraton. When you are in the resort you feel like you are in this lush paradise, which is totally different than the dry, dessert like landscape of Cabo. The resort is also only about 10 minutes drive from the town Cabo San Lucas, which makes it so easy to just go and grab dinner. I can't imagine staying any further from town. We will definitely stay at the Sheraton again when we come back to Cabo, probably on our one year anniversay!

the boys will be fine with a renewal as long as we dont do it every year... i cant wait for my next trip to cabo...i miss cabo so much. i miss beatriz the omelette lady at dreams...she was so awesome!

TSA Announces Refinements to Security Measures - Agency Adjusts Liquid Ban, Aviation Threat Level Remains High September 25, 2006 Source: Press Office - Transportation Security Administration Media Inquiries Only - (571) 227-2829 All Other Inquiries - (866) 289-9673 WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced today it is adjusting its total ban on liquids, gels and aerosols effective Tuesday, September 26. There are two significant changes: Travelers will be allowed to carry travel-size toiletries (3 ounce or less) that fit comfortably in one quart-size, clear plastic, zip-top bag through security checkpoints. Travelers may also bring items, including beverages, purchased in the secure, boarding area on-board the aircraft. "After the initial, total ban, we have learned enough from the UK investigation to say with confidence that small, travel size liquids are safe to bring through security checkpoints in limited numbers," said Assistant Secretary for TSA Kip Hawley. "We have also taken additional security measures throughout the airport that make us comfortable allowing passengers to bring beverages and other items purchased in the secure area onboard." TSA will be enhancing security measures throughout the airport environment, both visible and not visible to the traveling public. Examples of these measures include: more random screening of employees, additional canine patrols, stronger air cargo security measures, more rigorous identity verification standards and deploying more trained security officers in bomb appraisal and screening by observation techniques. It is unlikely that further adjustments to the ban on liquids, gels and aerosols will be made in the near future. The United States and United Kingdom (UK) have continued to work closely together and have shared technical and threat information with partners in Canada and the European Union (EU). These measures are being simultaneously adopted in partnership with the Canadian government. The UK and the EU are expected to consider similar changes in the coming weeks. Homeland Security Deputy Secretary Michael Jackson said, "Today's announcement represents a unified approach with our Canadian partners. These are sustainable, common-sense adjustments that combined with additional security measures throughout the airport will keep the traveling public safe." The U.S. Homeland Security threat level for aviation remains at Orange, or high, and will not change at this time. This security regime will apply to all domestic and international flights departing U.S. airports. Travelers should, however, check with transportation security authorities in their country-of-origin for flights originating at non-U.S. airports. Existing exemptions including larger amounts of required medications, baby formula and diabetic glucose treatments must be declared to security officers at the entrance of the checkpoint for screening. welcome Louise!! my husband's name is steve too... the riviera maya is great!! i posted some info on diff. resorts below. i think if you don't have kids, aventura palace does a great wedding or moon palace if you have kids...or dreams tulum.

well if you're on the east coast, riviera maya is great as is dominican republic... i think generally some of the chains that do great weddings are: dreams palace paradisus let us know if we can hel in anyway.

welcome carissa!! there are alot of dreams brides here...i got married there as well as tara, felissa, april, and carrie...carrie and i posted some pics so feel free to check them out... also, nicole, jennetta, amy, and sarah are getting married there next year so you are in good company! let us know if we can help you in any way. if you want july 1st, you should contact the coords right away...when i spoke to them, they were pretty booked for saturday and sunday from mid april-end of july.

HOW TO CHANGE IT If you've decided to change your name, after the wedding it's time to make it official. we spent more at our AHR than cabo and it really sucked. i didn't get the venue i wanted because that would have been an extra $25k (that is more than my whole wedding in cabo!). also, it just wasnt as fun. it was kind of stuffy.

karla, you are doing so much extra...more than you would if you had wedding at home!

my dress wouldnt fit in my suitcase. i carried on my dress with a big bag...we were also travelling with mom and dad so they helped carry stuff as well, but we checked in as much as we could...

i did a snorkel/sail cruise that included lunch. it was about $40 per person. i put it in my vendor $$ list.

you know, i just have pics that i posted in a thread on the forum...everyone i've talked to (i own a TA), brides and other TA's, i have never heard a bad thing. i think they run a pretty tight ship over there.
