Hi Rachelle, You should try to contact TA Patty here on BDW. She books all of those resorts quite a bit and just visited them back in January. She could probably help answer your questions, get some pricing, etc.

Most of the larger resorts that do more weddings do have a plan B and even plan C in case of rain. Usually a ballroom or a restaurant that they can convert. It is always a good idea to ask what the rain backup would be.

Are you working with a travel agent? If so, you should have them expedite the response from the WC. We have great relationships with the resorts that we sell the most of and when these issues come up, we can usually get a response a little faster for our clients.

We sell a lot of both resorts. Hard Rock actually has some of the most generous wedding amenities out there. You get "unlimited" private events when you book x-amount of nights. Hard Rock has Colin Cowie collections that are quite beautiful. I have stayed at the Paradisus but not HR Riviera Maya yet (but I am supposed to go for their grand opening event). For group activities, HR is hard to beat.
