  1. there are a bunch of different travel insurance plans...some just cover illness, some cover just lodging, some the whole shebang... if you have a specific question, i can try to find the answer for you but there are a dozen different suppliers, each with a dozen different plans w/just small diff. so you get the picture...it would be alot of work to post. if you have a TA, this is what you should ask them about.
  2. great info...don't you think they are an affordable choice for those not doing a big elaborate wedding.
  3. this is a great idea!! if we didnt have a DW we would've done something like this...but our night was already jampacked enough, we could not have fit another thing in...
  4. what about this: http://www.vrbo.com/45992 http://www.vrbo.com/8213 http://www.vrbo.com/799

Otherwise, I would have driven my friends and family crazy talking about this stuff! i know...i felt the same way about the forum...if i verbalized every thought, question i had about the wedding to steve he would have killed me.

  8. riu has 2-3 per day...they have 2 gazebos.. dreams has 1-2 per day. i asked the WC if i could be the only wedding and they accomodated my request because i had a bigger group. i think sheraton and westin have mostly 1 per day but if they are smaller may have 2..

Right now I just have to make a choice between Cabo Surf hotel and having a private affair at our villa (catered by Lazy Gourmet). Money aside, I'm happy to hear everyone's thoughts. (Yes, last-minute planning all the way...) here are some instrux on how to post pics...there are 2 ways. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/f/...ead.php?t=1138 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/f/...ead.php?t=1137
  10. there are some condos... can you give me an idea of their price range and what dates they need?
  11. welcome carole!! there is alot of information on cancun/riviera maya in that forum. i have posted pics and resort information. do you know how may guests you will have? children or no? some of the best resorts in that area are adult only.. aventura spa palace el dorado real but there are some kid friendly ones as well grand palladium moon palace dreams tulum

  15. well, we had a bunch of kids with us 8 or 9 between the ages of 2 and 11...then we had a bunch of teens and i truly think the best choice for family resort for weddings is Dreams. They have alot of kids activity but are not overrun with them. There is also a quieter adult pool for the ones that want to get away from the kids area. They have a kids club that is really fun. Also, the AI factor was really huge for the families because alot of times the kids did not want to leave the pool area so they just had poolside service...there is a waterslide that went into a small pool where is was easy for the parents to watch the kids... there are also lots of events for the older kids...this bungee jump thing and archery competition, etc. if you don't want to do an AI, then maybe cabo surf hotel and take it over... other choice...PB Rose but this of course is my humble opinion becuase of the kids factor...
  16. welcome anna! i think it is possible to plan a DW in a few months! Both Peter and Pepe are great so i am sure you can't go wrong with whoever you choose...i think Leigh, who had a villa wedding used Lazy gourmet and loved them...let me check for you. Flowers...in cabo your best bet is Flower Cart...i would rec. floreria palmela BUT i don't think they go to cabo san lucas (only to los cabos) because they are based in San Jose.
  17. i checked it out and it looks great...things to ask and consider: will they provide transportation from resort to the dock? transportation can get expensive and complicated.
  18. welcome betsy! are you looking to get married at a resort or on a public beach? some resorts to consider: AI: Dreams, RIU, presidente intercontinenal, Palace resorts non-AI: westin, hilton, sheraton in cabo: Dreams, riu, Hilton, Sheraton, Westin, Intercontinenctal in RM: Aventura Spa Palace (adult only), Moon palace, El Dorado, Dreams Tulum

Can anyone help? i haven't heard anyone get married there as well but that does not mean they don't do great weddings. can i ask where you are located? this may help you narrow down your choices. what about punta mita?
  20. todays winner is.....SARAH (aqharider)!!!
  21. well you can't go wrong with the 4 seasons...if that was not an option because it is expensive ($600-800 per night) then i would do hyatt. those are my 2 fav. on maui. I am helping my gf who got engaged at my DW plan a wedding at one of those 2 or grand wailea
  22. Hi Marci, can you post any packages or prices?
  23. steve is kind of in between...i also cut his hair because he is too lazy to go to a stylist but he enjoys a good massage and facial every once in a while...pedicures....he is so ticklish he almost kicked the girl in the face when she was pumicing his feet.
  24. i think it still give people an idea of pricing etc.
