  1. Just wanted to let you guys know that I booked my cake through sweet dreams. It's $360 for a cake to feed 65 people. This was a similar price to the quote from Erika at Dreams and less than the french bakery that she recommended as an alternative. I think I found Sweet Dreams through this board. Anyway, the owner and cake baker was very responsive and gave a lot of feedback on the style of cake. She's the first person I've dealt with so far who actually sounded excited about what she's doing. Her info is below: Deena Sweet Dreams (624) 142-6318 http://www.sweetdreamscabo.com/ http://www.sweetdreamscabo.com/eprices.htm -Trisha Dreams May 13, 2006 Her quote: 2-Tier Wedding Cake =============== Top tier: 6" square (serves 1 Bottom tier: 10" square (serves 50) Total Servings: 68 All covered in Dark Chocolate Ganache, with some dark chocolate shells and two hand-sculpted palm trees standing up out of top tier as 'centerpiece' Cake & filling flavors T.B.A. Cost: $350 USD + $15 US delivery = $365 USD total > >> My quotes do not include any flowers, as each their price always depends on type, season/availabilty, quantity, etc. I recommend to my clients that they order extras for the cake along with their regular floral order, and I will happily arrange any flowers on the cake that are provided to me upon my arrival to deliver and set up the cake

  21. Hotelier posts fake reviews JAMES ADAMS A SCOTS hotelier has been artificially boosting his establishment's ratings by making up reviews and posting them online, it emerged last night. David Bremner, owner of the Drumnadrochit Hotel by the banks of Loch Ness, was reported to have admitted writing glowing accounts from non-existent guests on the TripAdvisor website for travel information. Bremner wrote: "My parents stayed many years ago and said what a lovely spot this place was. They were so right!" Another fake recommendation stated: "Well done to the staff, who were really charming ... The food is outstanding ... Believe me you'll love it." Bremner was reported to have admitted the ploy but was apparently unrepentant. He is reported to have said: "Maybe I shouldn't have done it. But I don't think it's that big a deal." However, Bremner's motive for posting the reviews could be explained by genuine assessments of his establishment, which included complaints of high prices and shabby rooms. TripAdvisor.com has more than 20 million visitors a month and, while people must register before posting reviews, only site moderators are there to catch self-aggrandising postings.

So then I'm back to my 25 restaurant list (we can't possibly visit all these restaurants and try them)! Any insight from your visit would be appreciated. Thanks. Maria maria, i have a restaurant list on this forum with some reviews...let me try and find it for you...also, Kasmira loved the food at hotel natalia...and that is close to the church...

  25. ladies, if it makes you feel better people will not get their butts in gear until the last possible moment... we really didnt know until about 3 months before our wedding who was gonna be there...even then only about 70% of the people that came actually RSVP'd by that time...we had people RSVPing the week of the wedding.
