  3. playacar is a great choice...for july 8-15 it will be about $2700. another great choice is Royal Porto Real. great location and it is about the same price.

  5. welcome to the forum ana! you picked a great date!!
  6. it is very expensive...ranges from $400 per night for stardard room. they have a luxury villa with its own private pool for $669 per night the presidential villa is around $1792 per night (HOLY MOLY!) it is not all inclusive BUT does have meal plans you can purchase...like breakfast and dinner and go off for lunch...or all meals but i is an additional fee.

  8. erika these 2 are probably the best choices in PV... dreams is a little farther from the action but in such a beautiful spot...you really have to figure out what is best for your group...are they younger and more prone to party? or older/family so better to be in a private spot with nice beach?
  9. this doesnt sound weird...each judge in mexico has their own rules...one of our recent brides that got married last weekend didn't even need to have a blood test in mexico. she was able to get it done in the states.
  10. good luck karalane, here is a doc with some ?? to ask the onsite WC/event planner: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/f/...ead.php?t=1282

  13. Hi Kristie, welcome to the forum!! where are you thinking about getting married? alot of the larger resorts have their own WC's so if it is a smaller wedding you may not need to hire an outside coordinator. Dreams, Palace, and the westin do a beautiful wedding. we have some pics posted in the PV forum below so check them out and let us know how we can help.
  14. welcome cancun bride to the forum. Dreams cancun is a great place to get married as is moon palace...both do alot of weddings. let us know how we can help!

They just look so average. a jewelry box is a great idea...that is nice of you to buy the dresses, earrings etc. for your sister...
  17. my sisters were my bm's and since i only had 2 i splurged on my gifts...i got them diamond earrings to wear for the wedding...i bought them when they were on sale, then i had coupons so they weren't as much as you'd think and i know my sisters wanted them and they could always upgrade the size.

  21. also, it is true things can book up and be more expensive but this is not always the case...especially for a DW...in mexico they do not raise the rates for the long weekend/holidays, instead it depends on the season. also, our flights were not more expensive BUT they had to be booked earlier and there was a smaller chance they would go on sale....but we stayed for a week so we kind of missed that crunch but we had friends down for 3-4 days and they said it wasnt that bad price wise, they thought it would have been worse. ps. this is for weekends like memorial day, 4th of july...obviously x-mas and thanksgiving are not great choices to have a DW.
  22. Hi Carol, i got married memorial day weekend and we chose it so guests wouldn't have to take as much time off. even if we had our wedding locally, 80% of our guests would have had to fly in and find lodging so it wasn't that much harder to fly down to mexico. there were no conflicts for us in terms of the long weekend and people already having travel plans...maybe it is just me but i don't really plan MY vacation around 3 day weekends...
