  3. i want a slideshow of rebecca...sorry i am just impatient those are so cute...that girl is wearing heels and riding a bike...hehe...and she is too pretty (i am jealous) and is not even touching her icecream...it is obviously a prop because that girl looks like she has never eaten an icecream in her life.!
  4. hey adrienne, welcome to the forum...ann (akh) is the moderator in the PV forum but if you see amyhmartin, she is also super helpful an dinformative...let us know how we can help! tammy

  7. ok tammy, don't get mad but here is my opnion... i don't really like the idea of the frames on the cake for a bunch of reasons: 1. do not like cake out on the table... a. the cake will get funny and melty outdoors... b. it will take up table space when dinner is served. 2. when people are done eating the cake they will have frames that are kind of sticky. 3. i think the idea of a mini cake is so cute and just having a simple flower or shells will be so pretty that the frame will take away from that. what about just having the frames on the table to help with seating/whatever...and the cakes to be served after dinner....then there will be the ahhhs...when they all come out...stagger the good surpises.
  8. i just thought i would start a thread for you gals so you can help each other out with your wedding planning...
  9. i like to have all that stuff planned for...i think it just makes it easier for guests as a courtesy...even if it is just coordinating where people meet to take a caravan of taxis (but they pay) at least you are giving them some direction. one of the reasons i chose an AI because i wanted all the events to be at one place to make it easier on everyone....the few events we did off resort (sailing cruise, fishing) were kind of cluster-f*cks...
  10. welcome to the forum...i got married at dreams in los cabos in late may...i posted a bunch of info and pics on this forum... also: rebecca just got married there just a few weeks ago. natalie m sarah (aqharider) sarahmc jenetta(JPMO) nicole (NHPT) edyta kate (lala) are all getting married there so i am sure they can help you!
  11. ooohh...i just thought of something...what about putting something on your website or whatever that says: Quote: one of our reasons for having a DW was to spend quality time with our friends and our family. we are staying at x-resort and have planned some fun group events there throughout the weekend/week/whatever. we hope you consider staying at x-resort so we can spend more time with you but understand if you choose to stay elsewhere so, you aren't forcing them to stay at the resort BUT giving them a good reason to stay at the resort...and if they don't they will feel guilty....hehe...guilt is a strong motivator!
  12. tammy, can deena send you any pics? maybe not of the exact mini-cakes but of a chocolate and choclate cake and a cake with decorations like you mentioned? i am trying to picture it and i am having a hard time.
  13. Quote: Originally Posted by jjwilla220 thank you so much for your thoughts. Here goes with specifics: 100 guests, no kids, all inclusive, Memorial Day weekend 2007, most guest will stay at the resort so approx. 50 rooms, chapel or large gazebo, reception outside but not on the sand, spa. About $180 a night per guest. Seems like the wedding packages never include this many guests and therefore they seem pricy to me. What am I missing about pricing for large weddings. We like the pics of El Doradao and the wedding gazebo from Dreams Cancun. Others considered La Banc. HELP!!! You are such a good source already, I would love all comments. Julie and Mallory those are all good choices....i think for the actual wedding it would be cheapest to do it at dreams or palace BUT if you chose el dorado it would be pretty fantastic...BUT realistically, most of the better wedding resorts will be booked for memorial weekend 2007...if that is def. the date you want you better start calling resorts because i am doing a may 2007 wedding in rm and they originally wanted that weekend but we had a hard time just getting a fri, sat, or sun open in may/june. i will do a quick check for you on prices... 19. hi jennifer, we chose cabo because my dh and all his friends surf...the surfed a little in front of zippers (cabo surf hotel) but also rented a car and went surfing all over. we had a large group with people of all ages...one of the best things about our DW was being able to share meals with everyone...at breakfast you knew where everyone was...we pretty much took over the restaurant...so an AI really worked for us. a few questions to ask yourself: 1. how much do you want to pay for a room per night? 2. what is your budget for the festivities? 3. what is the demographic of your group? (mostly younger folks, family and grandparents)... 4. what do you envision as your DW? hope this helps. tammy

I really love the pinneapple idea but I doubt I can do tha; too costly... you can call me tammy...also w/pineapples, they will either have to eat them there (which will be a pain becuase pineapples can be tricky to peel, etc.) or you will have to buy the expensive kind that are in a special box so they make it past customs...
