  6. hey meahgan, if you want to attach a document/file got down to manage attachments. if you want to edit your post and add it, go the advanced edit, then manage attachments.
  7. natasha, what they did it not right! i am so angry! there is such a huge mark-up on food that i am sure they could have thrown in a few onions and veggies...like really how much more would it have cost them...like $10. sheesh! The final issue was that, for the rehearsal dinner, we were supposed to be at $60 pp plus drinks with a 10% discount on food and drinks. They removed the 10%. Because of another issue (we were not going to host a Sunday brunch but then it was offered as a concession originally and then we communicated to our guests that we would and then a few weeks before the wedding the hotel backed out of that because now they were going to have the suites that they promised so we were on the hook for a sizeable amount that hadn't been budgeted) we said we needed them to create a menu that was $40 pp by removing food choices. They did and we were fine with it. But, day of, the food that was served was significantly toned down vs. the food that we tasted (meaning, the fajitas were just chicken or beef, no veggies, onions, etc.). Oh well, it tasted good so our guests didn't know, it was just - interesting. It's how they made their numbers work, but that's just one example of the kinds of issues that occurred because the hotel didn't set the right expectation. They basically set us up to be disappointed which is an unfortunate and short-sided way of doing business.

Tammy can you PM me and let me know.) I had no idea which one to pick though either when I was looking good luck! unless you tell the resort, i want x-package, with dreams you can customize it...because most of the time, there will be more than the 10-20 guests they include in the package and you will want to find some of your own vendors, etc...so for you antalie, you have the free package that you are customizing.
  9. on their website they call it the luxury suite. Welcome to Pueblo Bonito Hotels and Resorts i get better rates for PB than directly through the resort.

  14. gosh, i am sorry...it was a beautiful wedding but the hotel should not have made you guys stressed like they did...i remember how stressed you were a week before you left.. well, they are on my sh*t list now! you should write a review on tripadvisor...they should give you guys a free 4 nights stay or something... ps. how ws your honeymoon...i want a review and pics of that!! was it FABULOUS!!!!! i haven't gone on mine yet so i have to live vicariously through yours! He would probably say that it was definitely the right place for us to get married from a "feel" perspective, but he wouldn't recommend it to anyone as he feels that their behavior shouldn't be rewarded with more business. It's a difficult discussion. We were all able to pull it together and make a really nice wedding, but...
  15. belize can get expensive with airfare...my good friend got married there and they loved staying at their resort BUT were always a little nervous when they were off the resort...and these people are seasoned travellers....like she was a volunteer nurse in india so she doesnt scare easily...also hubbies brother honeymooned there and they thought it was beautiful but they said some areas were not that safe so...if you decide you just want to stay on the resort it should be fine...
  16. great review natasha....and we forgive you for making us wait so long with it and pics. but now you have me wonderign what hubby's review would have been...i love to hear men's perspective on things.
  17. kash, i am going to go against the consensus on this one...one of my good friends had a ML dress remade...although the dressmaker did a great job, the bride was really unhappy because the lace wasn't right and it did not hang the same or move the same...just my 2 cents. sorry to be a pooper...
  18. PV is less expensive than cabo or cancun...DR is inexpensive but airfare can get expensive...where are you and most of your guests coming from?
  19. yes, there are a few problems with communication at rius but they are getting better! i think you will both have wonderful weddings...if you continue to have problems, vent them here and we will try to help.. one thing, playacar is not equipped to have bigger events so keep that in mind.
  20. welcome to the forum!! everyone here is super friendly and helpful... here are some spots: mexico: cabo cancun riviera maya / playa del carman puerto vallarta hawaii: maui would be my choice for a DW kauai oahu jamaica dominican republic
  21. i think it is always a possibilty wherever you go that things could get stolen. try to hide things (i did)...something like this is probably not a bad idea for hanging out by the pool...it is a metal mesh bag that is light weight but locks to chairs, etc. Corporate Travel Safety Online Store :: Travel Safe 100
  22. there are a few vos under traditions, etc. folder...janet posted hers and i posted mine Quote: Originally Posted by marfa75 I havent seen much about ceremony wording, blessings etc so I thought I'd start a new thread. These are the hands that will work alongside yours, as together you build your future. These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch, will comfort you like no other. These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief fills your mind. These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow, and tears of joy. These are the hands that will tenderly hold your children. These are the hands that will help you to hold your family as one. These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it. And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged, will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch
