  2. hi katherine, welcome to the forum! i see ann has directed you in the right direction...let us know how we can help!
  3. i am going to move this to the beauty forum... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t716 my skin looked great for my pics...i am off it and off BC and look like an ugly zit monster...but for my wedding, i was so pleased...no need for concealer/foundation even. i did obagi with retin a, microderms, and laser...i used it to get rid of all th cne scars i had (they were all pigmented)...the retin a got rid of the acne.
  4. i did the buffet for my welcome dinner and the sit down for my reception and actually preferred the buffet. it had a larger selection and people were able to get more or less of the foods they wanted. it was a really nice looking buffet...maybe i have pics somewhere...i will look. rebecca has a lobster buffet and loved it!

I am hoping to book a date sometime soon so I am super nervous and advise always helps! no, most members here are not using me...only about 20-30...i can usually get pretty good group rates...or i will search until i can find them as low as possible. usually (95%) i can negotiate lower than through the hotel directly, or get other perks negotiated that they were not going to give you.
  6. if you are trying to save $$ do not have your wedding in april (unless after april 15th)...the rate is about $100 per night more in april than in may, june, july.
  7. am i the mean one? i think it is BS that she told people and her bf your fiance hit on her. i don't care what her reason is! that in itself is a reason to fire her as a BM and put her on probabtion as a friend.

I'll be visiting her in the beginning of Feb and told her I'd explain everything to her then. I'm still a little concerned about what she's going to do all day, but I'm so relieve to hear her say "yes"! she will be so excited to go...dreams is small enough that you never feel overwhelmed or lost.

    Hi!

welcome to the forum...we have quite a few Dreams cancun brides on here...jilly and brenda, off the top of my head... let us know how we can help.
  10. I chose dreams because i was pretty adament about going AI. i wanted a week where all of our guests could eat together, hang out and not worry about $$...
  11. thanks for the info... yikes...i am sure everything will be ok but it is nerve wracking to start all over w/ a new WC
  12. here are my bags...they were the perfect size...big enough to lug stuff to the pool/beach.
  13. it is a big misconception that because it is an AI all the fees should be included... if this were the case, why wouldn't everyone have private events for all their meals. it cost extra man-hours, which equals extra $$ to set up private events and have dedicated servers for your event only. also, to have the kitchen cook meals just for your event. when they say a free wedding pacakge, look at the fine print..it usually just includes the legal/ceremony and a dinner for 10 (not private).

  22. hey kash, i answered below! Quote: Originally Posted by gkashmira OK - here are mine (I just found this thread and literally read all 11 pages straight through!): 1. Everyone has such a grat time and now want to do a big group trip every year. my parents especially had an amazing time, so it was totally worth it to me 2. For those who are non-AI how much was your bar tab at the end of the night? AI for me 3. (For those people who bought expensive dresses) In the end was it worth it having your dream dress or would it have been just as good in a cheaper version (too late for me! but just curious) i am so happy i bought my dress...it photographed well and was the dress i wanted so i was happy in it 4. What is the minimum # hours someone should hire a photographer? 5 hours min for a larger wedding...if just a dinner reception (no dancing, cake cutting, bouquet, garter, etc.) then i say 4 hours
