A "Health Issues" section. Or those bold enough a "Married Life" section where you can vent about issues. Some of these would have to remain private obviously. But its a great idea to stay in touch! we have a "martha stewart wannabees" for home/cooking etc. and other forums at the bottom that are not wedding related: venting, random thoughts, etc.
  2. hi angela, i actually have something in mind where each member gets their own blog that will be attached to their profile...the software makers told me it would be ready late december but obviously they are behind...the beta version is out BUT i do not want to add it to the forum until all the bugs are worked out. 3. where is the boat going...i voted Rehearsel dinner because although the baot is fun...if it gets rocky your pics may not be great...
  4. PDC has had alot of beach issues with erosion/hurricane etc...i think it really depends on where you want it and what the hotel policy is...i do not think you can have one on the public beach.
  5. here are some of my tips: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1016 natasha posted an attachment with photos she gave to her photog: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1856

So we are going to start at 6:30pm I believe. make sure to tell mariana you want people to be the dealers that know what they are doing...and get some prizes, like a big bottle of tequila or something...

  10. narrow down the 4-5 resorts that would work for you, and go from there...stay at the resort that is your top choice...you def. have to schedule something with the WC at each resort...if you already have a TA, ask them to help schedule a site visit.
  11. lenita, congrats!! you and andre look AMAZING!!! and i am so glad to hear everything worked out for you!!! i am going to look at your pics again.
  12. i would hold off on hiring a WC until you decide on resorts because alot of resorts in cancun/riviera maya do not work with outside coordinators..

  14. crhista mentioned the site to rent condos and they have some good/cheap ones in town. also, i think PB rose is a good value.

It is amazing the difference in heaviness of suits that are out there- I never really noticed until today. So, if anyone has actually seen this suit in person, is it light or heavy? steve bought his suit from jcrew and it looks exactly the same BUT i am not sure if it is because i have not felt the fabric but his is pretty light. the pants were really light and he took off his jacket furing the reception.

  20. I know alot of you have wedding websites that have passport info on it or travel agents that remind your wedding guests of the new passport requirements but for the "self-bookers" out there...the guests that are booking on the internet... please remind them that they now need passports to fly out of the country...no ifs, ands or BUTS! there have been an influx of "self-bookers" that have shown up at the airports only to be turned away. they never needed a passport before to travel and did not realize the laws have changed. Please, please, please make sure they understand the new requirements.
  21. i agree with brenda... if it is a larger wedding, usually one a day BUT if yours is small you can request to be the only wedding...can't hurt asking, right. if it is a symbolic wedding i think you can request and english speaking officiant or bring your own!
  22. ERC is a great place to get married and you are right ariadna is very helpful and prompt. loretta is getting married there.
  23. here's mine: Wedding Attire What should I wear to the wedding? We are having a relaxed, beach wedding weekend, so we are encouraging a "beach chic" look for the events. For the ceremony, men should wear a nice shirt and pants (Tommy Bahama look is good), suits and ties are ok but not required by any means. Women should wear dresses. Sandals are ok, but please no shorts and flip flops during the ceremony. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Montezuma's Revenge Can I drink the water? The water supply for all of Los Cabos is spring fed ground water. The water here is very pure, but be careful. The pipes used for distribution of the water supply and other factors can lead to contamination. Although many people drink the water directly from the tap, it is not recommended. Anywhere in the world, a change in drinking water can cause stomach distress. We recommend that you drink only bottled or purified water. All of the major hotels purify their water or serve purified water. However, you are better off ALWAYS drinking bottled water, even to brush your teeth. Dreams Resort provides free water bottles in your rooms. "Auga Purificado" is what you want. What food should I stay away from? We suggest steering clear of anything that has been washed in unpurified water, such as lettuce (this means no salad), and fruit that can't be peeled. When in doubt, do not eat it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Weather What will the weather be like? It is paradise all year round with clear skies 360 days of the year and temperatures averaging around 78 degrees with minor fluctuations. Los Cabos may have about 5 rainy days each year generally in late August and September. The old saying - when it rains it pours, is very true of the rains in Los Cabos. In the summer months, it can get VERY hot in Cabo, but hopefully May will still be on the mild side. Short answer: at this time, it is not legally required to have a passport to travel to Mexico, but you will need your original birth certificate that has an embossed stamp of authenticity. We recommend that you do get a passport as there are reports of people having some trouble travelling without one. You can read more in depth about it at this website that has all the new and updated information about traveling to Mexico. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Currency Can I use the U.S. Dollar? Dollars and Pesos are widely accepted all over Los Cabos. Credit Cards are also accepted for most purchases, and you will often get the best excange rate by using a credit card. ATM's are also avliable in downtown areas. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- General Info Where is Los Cabos? Los Cabos is the municipality which includes the cities of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, and located in the state of Baja California Sur. Cabo San Lucas is located at the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula in the State of Baja California Sur. Cabo is approximately 1,000 miles south of San Diego, California, 10 degrees below the Tropic of Cancer at a latitude of approximately 22 degrees.
