  9. barcelo is stricter with their rules. most of the other resorts welcome doing private events or being more accomodating....
  10. i like La Roche Posay Anthelios Extreme Fluid 60+. it is mostly sold in eruope and when i was having major laser work, retin a on my face my esthetician and dermatologist recommened it for me. i think the canadian version does not have mexoryl in it which is what makes the product different and better than sunscreens available domestically. Quote: New sunscreen, Anthelios, offers better cancer protection What happened? Beach goers and others enjoying fun in the sun will soon have a new option for blocking the sun's harmful rays. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Anthelios SX, an over-the-counter sunscreen that offers protection from both ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation. Most sunscreens sold in the United States mainly block UVB rays, which helps prevent sunburn and other types of skin damage. But Anthelios offers better protection from deeper penetrating UVA rays, according to the manufacturer. This may help reduce the risk of various types of skin cancer — including melanoma and basal and squamous cell carcinomas. Better UVA protection also may reduce sun-related skin wrinkling. Anthelios contains ecamsule, an ingredient that's been marketed as Mexoryl SX in Europe and Canada since 1993. The sunscreen is made by the cosmetics company L'Oreal. It's expected to be available as a daily moisturizing cream in select pharmacies, drugstores and doctor's offices throughout the United States in the fall. Other L'Oreal products containing the new ingredient may follow. What does this mean to you? Anthelios offers various advantages to traditional sunscreens. But the added protection may come at a cost. Although U.S. prices aren't yet available, similar products sold in Canada cost about twice as much as traditional sunscreens — or even more. "The expense for this sunscreen needs to be balanced with the need for broader UVA protection," says Lawrence Gibson, M.D., a dermatologist at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn. There isn't necessarily a single correct answer for everyone. "To determine whether this sunscreen is the best choice for you, weigh all the factors with your dermatologist," Dr. Gibson says. And there's more to skin protection than sunscreen. In addition to using a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a sun protection factor of at least 15, it's important to limit your time in the sun — especially between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when the sun's harmful rays are strongest. When you're outdoors, wear a broad-rimmed hat and tightly woven clothing that covers your arms and legs. Avoid tanning beds and tan-accelerating products. "No sunscreen is a substitute for avoiding the most intense sun of the day and wearing appropriate clothing," Dr. Gibson says. Also examine your skin regularly. Report to your doctor any new skin growths or changes in existing moles or freckles. 13. Magsie, since no one has booked yet, it is easy to change the location if that is what you want...also, i will help...if/when people call, i will of course diret them to the right hotel. also, i remember that one of your main reasons for picking that resort was because their prices were on the low end but for 2008 they really jacked up their prices... let me know if i can help anyway...2008 prices are just coming out so it will be easier for me to get prices for other resorts to help you. tammy

  19. i got married may 27th and imy ceremony was at 6:00pm. it was a really short ceremony and we had a bunch of time to take pics before sunset...actually we didnt use all the time we had because i wanted to get back to our guests (much to juan's disappointment-i rushed him)... so i guess it depends on what type of ceremony you are having (long or short) and if you will need alot of time to take family pics etc. but i think anywhere between 6-6:30 will be fine.

You can pick leather covers and many other options. I was very happy! I am doing one for our engagement party. Take a look- can't hurt. Let me know if you want to see pictures of the one we did of our trip. hi stephanie, shutterfly does make nice books...the thing with sharedink books are they are a tad nicer and you can customize them...like get a gold embossed letter on the front...or a logo...or design the pages exactly how you want them. you cant do that with shutterfly.
  21. the rates i quote include tax and are double occupancy. yes, it is always better to make your block early...the later you block the higher the rate usually. dreams is VERY popluar and books very early.
  22. to get group rates, 10 rooms minimum, you must put a deposit down to hold the rooms and rates are anywhere from $300-370 per night. 2008 rates are coming in around $370. 2007 rates fluctuated from $295-370 depending on when you made the block (those in the high $200 range were most likely blocked in 2006)
  23. jen, i knew you would have a great time. you look beautiful! i already got an email from one of your guests that it was "an epic wedding" and he had the best time. YAY!
