A good place to start reading is: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...-banned-32834/ Also, be sure to read the stickied threads in this forum (especially the PSA about Points, Sharing Photographer): Forum News & Updates Looking to share a Photgrapher Forum FAQ's and How to Use BDW

Wedding Coordinator Questions

i made a chart of when guests were checking into the resort and every morning i would bring their bags down to the reception desk so they were given to guests as they checked in. it was an extra treat for them...and didnt cost me anythign extra (to deliver the bags was $5 each and i had like 60 bags)

Of course Sunquest says they don't price match.. but they said they would reduce our rate by $100/person. unfortunately it does happen...prices fluctuate but usually the other way. so often by booking later, the rate either skyrockets or their is no availibity. also, with expedia rates, there is not an infinite amount of packages at that rate...sometimes just a few...

How much does it cost to get from the airport (Cancun) to Riu Palace Mexico? And what different styles of transportation can we arrange? (Taxi, shuttle van, limo etc) Thanks, Jason why is it cheaper now? the room rate or air? transfers for 2 will range about $60 for not direct to $100 for non-stop

its cheaper to have a private ceremony/reception at dreams since they charge a per person fee...i think riu charges per hour for an open bar but i could be mistaken. regarding room rates, they are pretty much the same normally unless one is having a sale.

Who Pays For The Welcome Dinner?
TammyWright replied to matty-g's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
honestly, people are spending alot of $$ to attend your DW so to ask them to pay for to attend your welcome dinner will probably not be well received...sure no one will say it to your face but just my opinion. if you cant afford a full on welcome dinner, what about something simpler...chips, guac and margaritas...that cant be too much. -

I hate hate hate milk and I always drink soy, but lately I have been skipping out on soy and just using skim on my cereal every once in awhile. any advice i wasnt told not to drink soy milk...i think everything is ok in moderation. i know you are supposed to drink whole milk for the extra vitamins but those with gestation diabetes it sometimes can cause their blood levels to go through the roof.

also, so much of it depends on when you check in and if it is available upon checkin...like 1/2 of my guests got a honeymoon suite...my sisters were so stoked..so were my parents...i was happy they go it but i guess we checked in when alot of people were checking out so they put us in the best available room they had upon checkin.
-
we usually give them a heads up that the couple is honeymooning but even with this, they get so busy at checkin that sometimes wires get crossed and information not passed along so it is ALWAYS a good idea to let the people know upon checkin that you are honeymooning/anniversary etc.
